Howard Thomas Bryant
Funeral services for Mr. Howard “Buddy” Thomas Bryant, 83, were 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004 at Bon Aqua Church of Christ with Bro. Warren Medley officiating. Arrangements were handled by Dickson Funeral Home.
Mr. Bryant, of Dickson, was born in Hickman County June 20, 1920. He died Friday, May 21, 2004 at Dickson County Nursing Home. He was a farmer.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Susie Luther Bryant.

Brandi Ashkea Crews
Memorial services for Miss Brandi Ashkea Crews, 22, were 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home.
Ms. Crews, of Antioch, was born in Humphreys County October 17, 1981. She died Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Skyline Medical Center. She was a night auditor at Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn in Brentwood.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Pamela and Billy Harrington of Dickson; maternal grandmother, Jeanetta Crabtree of Burns; sisters, Jennifer Rumsey of Waverly and Talitha Crews of Antioch; nephew and niece, Dalton and Alysan Rumsey of Waverly; uncles and aunts, Kevin and Chris Crabtree, Jamie Allen, Gayle Crabtree and families.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Milton Crabtree, Zolie and Maggie Crabtree and Tom and Estelle O’Brien.

Carl Gaines Felker
Funeral services for Rev. Carl Gaines Felker, 78, were 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2004 from Choates Creek United Methodist Church in Pulaski with Rev. Tom Nankervi and Rev. Ray McDonald officiating. Interment icon followed in Choates Creek United Methodist Church cemetery in Giles County.
Prayer service was held Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Elizabeth Long officiating.
Services were under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson and Carr-Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski.
Rev. Felker, a retired United Methodist minister and teacher, died Friday, May 21, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. He held a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro and a master’s degree (one year at Emory University and one year at Vanderbilt University). He was a member of the Giles County National Guard. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired member of the Tennessee Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Geneva Kerr Felker of Charlotte; daughter, Gwen Daniel and her husband, Bennie, of Charlotte; son, Paul G. Felker and his wife, Angie, of Zachary, La.; five granddaughters, Carla Daniel of Tampa, Fla., Dorothy Taylor and her husband, Josh, of White Bluff, Eali Felker of Pulaski, Haley Felker of Zachary, La., and Lindy Felker of Pulaski; great-grandson, Calloway Cruz Lewis; sister, Juanita Felker Chausel of Bow, Wash.; niece, Karen Clause; nephews, Gary Clausel of Mississippi and Roger Clausel and Jeffrey Clausel, both of Oregon.
He was preceded in death by infant children, Carilis Ann and Anthony John Felker.
Memorials may be made to the Choates Creek United Methodist Church cemetery fund and Charlotte-Fagans Chapel United Methodist Church stained glass window fund.

William Harrell
Funeral services for Mr. William P. Harrell, 84, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bros. David Mosley and Harold Petty officiating.
Mr. Harrell of Dickson was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., Marcy 11, 1920. He died May 22, 2004 at the Dickson County Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer and factory worker. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Fielder Harrell of Dickson; sons, Truman Harrell and wife, Janice, of Dickson, Pascal Harrell and wife, Barbara, of Manchester, Paul Harrell and wife, Debbie, of Dickson, Randy Harrell and wife, Andrea, of Dickson; daughters, Peggy Donegan and husband, Larry, of Dickson, Agnes Hopper-Burns, Carol Brooks and husband, Carroll, of Dickson, Shirley Daniel and husband, Dennis, of Dickson; brother-in-law, Hershel Fielder of Dickson; sister-in-law, Theresa Harrell of Dickson; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Patricia Lee Chappell
Graveside services for Ms. Patricia Lee Chappell, 54, were 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2004 in Memory Gardens cemetery in Centerville with Bill McDonald officiating. Arrangements were handled by McDonald Funeral Home.
Ms. Chappell, of Murfreesboro, was born Sept. 19, 1949 in Nashville. She died May 10, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital. She was employed as an executive housekeeper for Holiday Inn. She was the daughter of the late Randall L. Thompson Sr. and Martha Hall.
Survivors include a son, Ernie Shores of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; one grandchild; brother, Randy Thompson of Dickson; and stepfather, William Effler of Lyles.

Sarah Joyce Connelly
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Joyce Connelly, 86, were 8 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge with Curtis McClain officiating. Graveside services were Friday, May 21, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
Mrs. Connelly, of Oak Ridge, was born January 14, 1918 in Bon Aqua, the daughter of Perkins Anderson and Flora Bledsoe Anderson. Prior to owning and operating Joyce’s Beauty Shop for many years, she worked at Elm Grove Beauty Shop.
Mrs. Connelly died Tuesday, May 18 at her home. She and her husband were two of the first members at Highland View Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons, Edwin Connelly and wife, Carol, and Ronald Paul Connelly and wife, Ava, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Martha Van Hoven and husband, David, of Nashville and C. Jeanette Connelly and husband, Gary Stevens, of Norris; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones Connelly, who died May 6, 1992.

Sara Margaret Corlew
Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Margaret Corlew, 81, were 1p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Cullom and Pastor Elizabeth Long officiating. Interment icon followed in Greenwood Cemtery.
Mrs. Corlew, of Charlotte, died Monday, May 10, 2004 at Dickson County Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband, J. W. Corlew of Charlotte; two sons, Wynn Corlew and wife, Dorothy, of Charlotte, and Jeff Corlew and wife, Cindy, of Burns; one daughter, Dianne Sesler of Burns; sister, Joyce Miller and husband, James, of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Howie Dollard of Charlotte, Gary Dollard of Smyrna, Mart Sesler, Lynette Sesler and Renee Sesler, all of Nashville, and Scotty Corlew of Charlotte; four great-grandchildren, Rachal Dollard, T.J. Dollard, Cole Sesler and Jordan Sesler.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wilson Dollard, and sister, Lynn Caldwell.

Lorene Bowen Fielder
Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Bowen Fielder, 96, were 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2004 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Elder S. T. Tolley officiating. Interment icon followed in Union cemetery.
Mrs. Fielder, of Dickson, was born in Dickson County Dec. 6, 1907. She died May 7, 2004 at NHC Health Care Center in Dickson. She was a retired inspector for Henry I. Siegel.
Survivors include her sister, Dockie Manley of Dickson; nephews, Richard and Marlon Manley of Dickson, Charles Lyndol Bowen of Dickson and Billy Donegan of Nashville; nieces, Lossie Hill and June Sullivan of Dickson, Tommie Hollingsworth of Moulton, Ala., and Mildred Allmon of Kingston Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Harden and Emma Walker Bowen; husband, Wilma Fielder; brothers, Ferby, Claude and Dewey Bowen; sisters, Bessie Baker and Fannie Donegan; and half-sister, Iva Dugan Donegan.

Margaret Elizabeth Franklin
Funeral services for Ms. Margaret Elizabeth Franklin, 77, were 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Franklin officiating. Interment icon followed in the Union cemetery.
Ms. Franklin, of Dickson, died Monday, May 10, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center.
Survivors include her sons, Jacky Franklin and wife, Nancy, of Dickson, and Garry Franklin, and wife, Dianne, of Burns; brothers, Leamon Franklin of Charlotte and Lealon Franklin of Dickson; sisters, Violet Corbitt, Arneatta Peeler and Betty Sue Garrett, all of Dickson, Joyce Pardon of Michigan, and Myrna Henry of Burns; granddaughter, Elizabeth Franklin of Burns; step-grandchildren, Keith Fussell of Dickson and Lisa McAfee of Alexandria; and four step-great grandchildren, Mark McAfee, Cheyenne Fussell, Amanda Fussell and Mandi Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the church or charity of your choice.

Calvin Pernell
Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Pernell, 80, of White Bluff, were 10 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Tholen and Bro. Amos Davenport officiating. Interment icon followed in Gillan cemetery.
Mr. Pernell died Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at his home. Pernell, a native of Dickson County, was the son of the late Joseph Lee and Lena England Pernell. He retired from the state of Tennessee Department of Conservation in the division of geology with 53 years of service. He was a member of Pleasant View Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Clemmie Lowe Pernell of White Bluff; son, Andy Pernell and wife, Patti, of Charlotte; grandchildren, Matthew Pernell and wife, Amanda, Marti Lamastus and husband, Kyle, Martin Pernell and Magan Pernell; brother, Wayne Pernell of White Bluff; and sister, Iris Spann of Ashland City.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ernie Pernell.
Memorials may be made to the heart fund or diabetes association.

Bobbie Joyce Cravey Cook
A memorial service for Mrs. Bobbie Joyce Cravey Cook, 77 was 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at First Baptist Church in Dickson. Her remains were donated to medical science.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, Texas.
Mrs. Cook, born in Sour Lake, Texas on Dec. 25, 1926, died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Horizon Medial Center in Dickson. She received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and a master’s degree in Spanish, Latin and American history from the University of Houston.
Married to Thomas Edwin Cook in 1947, they lived in Houston, Lake Jackson, Texas and Dickson. She, along with her husband, worked with the Southern Baptist Mission Board in Bangladesh, Honduras, Gaza, Jordan, South Korea and Macao.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Edwin Cook of Dickson; three sons, Thomas Edwin Cook Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Bethel Springs, Kerry Lee Cook of Dickson, and Kim Alan Cook and close family friend, Bill Walters, both of Chicago; granddaughter, Brittany Cook of Dickson; grandson, David Cook of Bethel Springs; sister, Emily Martinsen and her husband, Roger, of Ocala, Fla.; brothers, Tommie Lee Cravey of Houston, Texas, David Cravey and his wife, Nelda, of Austin, Texas, Edwin Cravey of Bryan, Texas and Robert Cravey Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Huntsville, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2501 Highway 70 East, Dickson, TN 37055.
