Pearl Mangrum
Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Mangrum, 97, are 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Fairview Church of Christ in Fairview with Bro. Fred Mayberry officiating.
Visitation will be at the Fairview chapel of Dickson Funeral Home on Friday, April 23 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 24 from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment icon will follow in Mangrum cemetery in Fairview. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Mangrum, of Fairview, was born in Davidson County Feb. 16, 1907. She died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, J.B. and his wife, Marie Mangrum, of Fairview; daughters, Barbara and husband, James Peercy, of Fairview and Odessa and husband, Marion Robinson, of Davisburg, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Atha Mangrum and daughter, Jean Mangrum.

Lilah Pearl Woodall
Funeral services for Mrs. Lilah Pearl “Patsy” Woodall, 91, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Dickson, were 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Baggett officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson Union cemetery.
Mrs. Woodall died Sunday, April 18, 2004 in Regents Park Nursing Home in Jacksonville, Fla. A graduate of Peabody College, she was a teacher in the Dickson County school system for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her son, Mike Woodall, and his wife, Nadine, of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, John E. Woodall of Ayden, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Woodall.

Roy Michael Bishop
Funeral services for Mr. Roy Michael “Mike” Bishop, 55, were 1 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2004 at the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Larry Baker officiating. Interment icon followed in Ebenezer cemetery in Humphreys County.
Mr. Bishop, a native of Davidson County, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Alvin C. York Veterans Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was a truck driver with Osborne-Hessey of Smyrna. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Margurite Waltrip Bishop of New Johnsonville; daughters, Tracy Nichols Winchester and her husband, Marshall, of New Johnsonville, Irene Ann Collins and her husband, Chris, of New Johnsonville; mother, Irene H. Bishop of Waverly; and eight grandchildren, Hazel, Christopher Jr., Samantha, Andrew, Michael, Toni, Leslie and David.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Bishop, and his father, Roy Suggs Bishop.

Orpha White Browning
Graveside services for Mrs. Orpha White Browning, 94, were 11 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2004 at Forrest Lawn cemetery in Tecks Mill, W.Va. Arrangements were handled by Spann Funeral Home.
Mrs. Browning, of Dickson, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Survivors include her son, John R. Browning of Dickson; daughter, Phyllis Browning of Spring Hill; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Leilani Sue Allbert Cathey
Funeral services for Ms. Leilani Sue Allbert Cathey, 46, were 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the White Bluff chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Horace Perkins officiating. Interment icon followed at Williams cemetery.
Ms. Cathey, of White Bluff, was born Oct. 13, 1957 in Warren, Ohio. She died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. She was a clerical worker.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Sandra Hill Stiles and Paul Stiles of White Bluff; daughters, Amanda Michelle and husband, Danny Pack, of McEwen, and Ashley Nicole Brazzell of Dickson; brother, Alan Harold Allbert of Roan Mountain; and grandchildren, Derrick Gage, Jericka Danielle Marie Pack and Dakota Lee Pack.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest Harold Allbert.

Elizabeth Jean Jackson Hamm
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Jean “Tooter” Jackson Hamm, 77, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Jamie Allen officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hamm, who was born in Vanleer, died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at her home in White Bluff. She was a laundry aid at the former Goodlark Hospital. She was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Kerrie Hamm of New Johnsonville and Roger “Bo” and Sandra Hamm of White Bluff; daughters, Peggy Hafner and Audrey Gaddes, both of White Bluff, Thelma Murtha of Charlotte, Sandra Hicks of New Johnsonville, Virginia “Ginger” Propes and her husband, Sonny, of Antioch, Karen Lackey and her husband, Phillip, of Burns; sisters, Frances Smith of Vanleer and Maryleen Harper of Waverly; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Hamm, and her parents, Arthur Clarence and Ruby Hicks Jackson.

Gladys Irene Shaver Long
Graveside services for Mrs. Gladys Irene Shaver Long, 90, were 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville with Ronnie Pendergrass officiating. Services were under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson.
Mrs. Long, born in Carroll County, died Friday, April 16, 2004 at Baptist Hickman Nursing Home. She worked in the Dickson High School cafeteria and was a meat processor with Edgar Meek Meat Processing. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Aslee Shaver of Bon Aqua; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jerry Black of Burns; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, L. H. Long and Allen Shaver; and three sons, J.C. Long, Carl Burton Long and Glenn Shaver.

Edna Elizabeth Read
Graveside services for Ms. Edna Elizabeth Read, 80, were 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at Union cemetery with Bro. Sellers Crain officiating. Arrangements were handled by Dickson Funeral Home.
Ms. Read, of Madison, was born in Davidson County March 3, 1924. She died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, Miss. She was a retired office manager with Kuhn’s Department Store.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Ruth Read of Jackson, Tenn.; sister, Eunice Hardin of Madison; niece, Beverly Drake of Old Hickory; nephews, Dwight Hardin of Lebanon, Ronald Read of Dyersburg and David Read of Jackson, Miss.; great-nephews, Jerry Hardin of Lebanon, Josh Read of Dyersburg, Chris Read of Jackson, Miss., and Brian Read of Fort Worth, Texas; great nieces, Brittany Drake of Old Hickory, Angie Hardin of Lebanon, Allison Read of Dyersburg and Ashley Read of Dallas, Texas. She was also loved by two nieces by marriage, Libby Read of Dyersburg and Charleen Read of Jackson, Miss., and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bessie Mae Read.

Mary Estalee Hill Reynolds
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Estalee Hill Reynolds, 72, were 2 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004 at the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Cullom officiating. Interment icon followed at Union cemetery.
Mrs. Reynolds, of Nashville, was born in Dickson County April 15, 1932. She died April 17, 2004 at her home. She was a retired dispatcher for Bell South.
Survivors include her daughter, Carla Bluhm of Nashville; half-sisters, Faye Hill Hancock of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kaye Eazor of Irving, Texas; and grandson, Brian Bluhm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lennie Maurice and Goldie Lee Daniel Hill.

Shirley Ann Sanders
Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Sanders, 67, were 2 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2004 in the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Cullom officiating. Interment icon followed at Sycamore Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders died Thursday, April 14, 2004 at her home.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Francis Mitchell; son, Tim Sanders of Smyrna; daughter, Denise Sheppard of Cottontown; brothers, Ed Mitchell and J.R. Mitchell, both of Dickson; sisters, Marie Smith of Cottontown and Sandra Carrell of Summertown; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jedidiah David Stinson
Funeral services for Mr. Jedidiah David (Jed) Stinson, 16, were 4 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Chatham officiating. Interment icon followed at Union cemetery.
Mr. Stinson, of Dickson, died Friday, April 16, 2004 at his home.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Connie McElhiney Stinson of Dickson; brother, Chad and wife, Jennifer Stinson, of Dickson; sister, Leslie and husband, James Simms, of Dickson; maternal grandparents, Edward and Gladys McElhiney of Dickson; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Stinson of Dickson; nieces and nephews, Jameson and Triston Simms of Dickson and Madison, Natalie and Kelsey Stinson of Dickson; and numerous uncles, aunts and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, R.D. Stinson.

James Preston Webster
Funeral services for Mr. James Preston Webster, 50, were 5 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the Whitwell First Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Webster and Rev. Ted Phillips officiating. Interment icon was Monday, April 19 at National cemetery in Chattanooga.
Mr. Webster, of Whitwell, died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at a Nashville hospital. He was a member of Whitwell First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Webster; sons, Jason Darrell Webster and James Eric Webster, both of Whitwell; parents, Carlton and Doris Webster of Monteagle and Kathleen Pohutsky of Farmington Hills, Mich.; sisters, Ida Sue Westerman of Dickson, Mary Ellen Turner of Monteagle, Diana Hill of Whitwell, Cindy Griffiths of Cannon, Mich., Angela Passcke of Farmington Hills, Mich.; brothers, Glenn Webster, David Webster of Whitwell, Kenneth Webster of Powell’s Crossroads and Daniel Webster of Kansas City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Vernon and Grace Webster; and brothers, Robert Darrell Webster, Edward Lee Webster, Paul Riley Webster and Richard Iacovacci.
Pallbearers were Rodney Kilgore, Joe Scissom, Floyd Hudson, Jim Neeley, Scott Terry, Buddy Freeman, Jimmy Thompson and Johnny Basham.
