Lonnie Walton Richardson
Mr. Lonnie Walton “Slim” Richardson, 69, of Ellenville, Ky., formerly of Charlotte, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Ky.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Sanders Funeral Home in Russellville, Ky., with Rev. Chris Vaught officiating. Interment icon was in Shiloh cemetery in Greenhill, Ala., Sunday, July 11, 2004 with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating.
Mr. Richardson was a carpenter for many years.
Survivors include his daughters, Kim Taylor of Charlotte and Jennifer Defreese of Smyrna, Ga.; sons, Ronnie Richardson of Wingo, Ky., Malcolm Richardson of Nashville and Tracy Richardson of Charlotte; sister, Christine Clifft of Summertown; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lem Richardson and Lettie Bradley Richardson; and wife Barbara Basford Richardson.

Carroll “Buddy” Williams
Funeral services for Mr. Carroll “Buddy” Williams, 57, were 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Ken Vincent and Bruce Cunningham officiating. Interment icon followed in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Williams of Clarksville was born Dec. 20, 1946 in Montgomery County. He died July 5, 2004 at his residence. He was employed by Trane Company and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include wife, Linda Latham Williams of Clarksville; mother, Betty Jo Eads Greene of Clarksville; sons, David Williams of Charlotte and Jon Williams of Indian Mound; stepson, Paul Dennis of Greenville, Ky.; daughter, Leigh Glasgow of Dickson; stepdaughter, Juanita Gaines of Greenville, Ky.; brother, Wendel Williams of Clarksville; sisters, Debbie Gill and JoAnn Copeland, both of Clarksville; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hurley B. Williams.
Pallbearers were Ted Weakley, Reed Mann, Jimmy Mullins, Joe Warren, Ronnie Green and Bobby Gillum.

Ricky Eugene Yowell
Funeral services for Mr. Ricky Eugene Yowell, 36, were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Spurgeon officiating.
Mr. Yowell of Slayden was born Jan. 15, 1968 in Kirksville, Mo. He died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 in a car accident on Highway 48 in Montgomery County. He was employed as a floor finisher.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Yowell of Slayden; daughters, Kristy Ann Yowell and Kara Dawn Yowell, both of Slayden; stepdaughter, Tami Jo Willis Davis of Canton, Mo.; parents, Gary Lee and Carol Jolene Yowell of Cumberland Furnace; and half-sisters, Carla Morris of Memphis, Kelly Clay of Kirksville, Mo., and Robin Potts of Vanleer.

Linda Gail Tidwell Cowden
Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Gail Tidwell Cowden, 53, were 3 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Brother Tom Lovell officiating. Interment icon followed in Missionary Ridge cemetery.
Mrs. Cowden, interpreter for the League of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at her home. She was a member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph P. Cowden of Nashville; son, Christopher D. Cowden of the Washington, D.C. area; daughter, Amy L. Cowden of Nashville; sisters, Marie Peeler and husband, Danny, Wanda Cochran and Vera Allsup and husband, Danny, all of Dickson; sister-in-law, Anne Clark of Evansville, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Ruth Cowden of Evansville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorene Tidwell Cathey and Claborn Tidwell; and brother-in-law, Dorris Cochran.

James Harvel Holland
Funeral services for Mr. James Harvel Holland, 88, are 1 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2004 at Luff Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen with Rev. David Deavers officiating. Interment icon will follow in McEwen cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 8 from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Holland of McEwen, a retired electrician and plumber, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at NHC Health Care Center in Dickson. He was born July 21, 1915 in McEwen. He was a charter member and deacon of Immanuel Baptist Church in McEwen and a former member of Civilian Conservation Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil M. Holland of McEwen; sons, James (Diane) Harrison Holland of Miami Lakes, Fla., and Steve (Cathy) Holland of Nashville; daughters, Wanda (Henry Sigmon) Holland Prince of Lenoir, N.C., and Joye (Gary) Holland Street of Burns; sister, Edith Odom of McEwen; grandchildren, Lisa Shanks, Gina Bryant and Trinity, Beth, Stephanie and Kyle Street; and great-grandchildren, Carmen and Miles Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hatcher and Agnes Petty Holland; brother, Billy Holland; and sister, Mary Lee Curtis.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Middle Tennessee.

Earl Clay Curtis
Funeral services for Mr. Earl Clay Curtis, 72, were 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Luff Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen with Rev. John Curtis officiating. Interment icon followed in McKeel cemetery in Waverly.
Mr. Curtis died Thursday, July 1, 2004 at his home in McEwen. He was born Nov. 8, 1931 in Waverly.
He was a retired pot room operator for Conalco in New Johnsonville and served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. He was a member of House of Prayer in McEwen.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Curtis of McEwen; son, Tony (Nora) Curtis of McEwen; brothers, John Curtis of Muskogee, Okla., Buford Curtis of Summertown, Randolph Curtis of McEwen, Gary Curtis of Waverly, Terry Curtis of Dickson and David Curtis of McEwen; sisters, Elise Miller of Nashville, Louise Curtis of McEwen and Sue Curtis of McEwen; and grandchildren, Taylor Curtis and Treila Curtis, both of McEwen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vera Bell Curtis; and brother, Reed Curtis.

Ralph Murphy Farrar
Funeral services for Ralph Murphy Farrar, 89, were 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Roy West officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Farrar, a retired pipeline supervisor with Latex of Georgia, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at National Health Care Center in Dickson. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Freida Ann Spencer Farrar of Dickson; daughter, Emily Spencer Farrar Jackson and her husband, Dr. Bill Jackson of Dickson; grandchildren, Jonathan Christopher Jackson, Caroline Farrar Jackson and James Spencer Jackson; great grandchildren, Adam, Lauren and Matthew; sisters, Corrine Gipson of Shreveport, La., and Maxine Lipscomb of San Antonio, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Josephine Peterson Farrar.

Roy Paul Fleeman
Graveside services for Roy Paul Fleeman, 61, were 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2004 from Middle Tennessee Veterans cemetery with Jim O’Neill and Bob White officiating. Arrangements were handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
Mr. Fleeman, a dental technician, born in St. Louis, Mo., died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He was a Vietnam War U.S. Navy veteran. He was Eleventh District Commander of V.F.W. Post #4641.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Chmalies Fleeman of Dickson; son, Terry Brown of Coatopa, Ala.; daughters, Beverly McDaniel of Eugene, Ore., Denise Bojorques of Winslow, Ariz., and Kimberly Hunter of Pegram; brothers, Billy Fleeman of Bloomsdale, Mo., and Johnny Fleeman of St. Louis, Mo.; sisters, Delores Ditch of Bloomsdale, Mo., Katie Ditch of St. Louis, Mo., and Shirley Fleeman of Texas; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Ben, Rob, Jessica, Shayna, Courtney and Brennen; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzi and Rosie Haddock Fleeman.

Sarah Alice Luke Gilliam
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Alice Luke Gilliam, 88, were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Melissa Derseweh and Rev. Ron Kleine officiating. Interment icon followed in Dickson Union cemetery.
Mrs. Gilliam, a retired employee with the former Henry I. Siegel Company and retired teacher’s aid with the Dickson County Board of Education (special education) died Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.
Survivors include her sons, Ray Gilliam and wife, Sandy of Charlotte, James Gilliam and wife, Judy of Austin, Texas, and Randall Doug Gilliam and wife, Linda of Metamora, Mich.; sister, Nettie Lassiter of Nashville; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice “Kitten” Gilliam; and parents, James Thomas and Florrie Bowker Luke.
Memorials may be made to Charlotte Fagan United Methodist or Meals on Wheels of Water Street Church of Christ.

Ian Lawrence Sinclair
Ian Lawrence Sinclair, 21, died at his home July 1, 2004. Memorial services were 3 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2004 at D.W. Newcomer’s & Sons White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone, Mo.
Ian was born January 18, 1983 in Fayetteville, N.C., to Walter and Kim (Hood) Sinclair. He was an accomplished musician having lettered in band at Winnetonka High School as well as performing with their jazz band. He also enjoyed amateur sports and playing video games.
Survivors include his mother, Kim Hood; father and stepmother, Walter and Dee Sinclair; fiancé, Rebecca Witherow; brothers, Morgan, Storm and Walter Sinclair III; stepbrother, Jessie Puyear; stepsisters, Makenzie and Karlee Puyear; paternal grandparents, Thomas W. and Arlene Berryman; four uncles, two aunts; great grandmother, Wilma Wilson; and several cousins in Tennessee and England.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Albert Hood.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Morgan Sinclair, in loving memory of his brother, Ian.

Elsie Marie Tidwell Thompson
Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Marie Tidwell Thompson, 77, were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2002 at Dickson Funeral Home with Joe McGraw and Dan Tholen officiating. Interment icon followed in Old New Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson of Burns died Friday, July 1, 2004 at her home. She was born Oct. 27, 1926 in Dickson County. She was a homemaker and retired from the state of Tennessee.
Survivors include her son, Tommy (Kay) Clifford Thompson of Dickson; daughter, Brenda Sue (Lawrence “Buddy”) Harrison of Burns; grandchildren, Laura (Dan) Tholen, Nancy (Brian) Lee, Stephen Harrison, Jennifer (John) Davis, Bethany Thompson and Charlie Thompson; great-grandchildren, Brady and Bailey Davis, Jennika Tholen and Chloe Lee; aunt, Leta White of Nashville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend, Martha Pullum; and sister-in-law, Inez Tidwell of Dickson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Dewitt Thompson; infant son, William Edgar Thompson; sisters, Nola Gentry and Dorothy Brown; and brother, Paul Tidwell.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Hospice, Cancer Society and Heart Association.
