Funeral services for Mrs. Frances S. Yusk, 94, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Dickson, are 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Roy West officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment
will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Yusk, a cherished educator and librarian prior to her retirement in 1974, died July 2, 2004 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky. Mrs. Yusk was born April 2, 1910 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Survivors include her son, Dr. John F. Yusk of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Mrs. Laura Chavez of Albuquerque, N.M.; Mr. John D. Yusk of Nashville; Dr. Lisa A. Yusk of Chicago, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Cambria Chavez and Alexander Yusk.
Mrs. Yusk was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Stanley Yusk and a son, Dr. Robert Yusk.
Everyone that knew her loved her smile. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Nonie A. Crues
Funeral services for Mrs. Nonie A. Crues, 95, will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating. Interment
will follow in St. Paul cemetery.
Crues of Charlotte died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Vanco Manor in Goodlettsville.
Survivors include her sons, Robert G. Crues of Old Hickory and Joseph F. Crues of Greenville, S.C.; daughters, Mamie Davidson of Goodlettsville, Fairsie Jackson of San Diego, Calif., and Mai Morgan of Dickson; half-sister, Carrie Mae Jones of Smyrna; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Crues.
Robert Ray Smalley
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Ray Smalley, 62, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Batson cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 2 from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday, July 3 from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Smalley of Clarksville died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Gateway Hospital in Clarksville.
Survivors include his sons, Randy Smalley Downey of Cumberland Furnace, Jeff Smalley Downey of Clarksville, Bobby Smalley of Dickson and Michael (Amy) Smalley of Dickson; brothers, David (Annie) Smalley of Cumberland Furnace and Paul Smalley of Clarksville; sisters, Mary Blackwell of Southside, Rosie (Elbert) Ferrell of Cumberland Furnace, Faye (Hurley) Parker of Cumberland Furnace and Eva Jean (Lester) Lee of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mattie Sinks Smalley; and brother, Robert Brake Smalley Jr.
James William Baker

Mr. Baker of Dickson died Saturday, June 27, 2004 at NHC in Dickson.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Reynolds Baker of Dickson; brother, Glenn Ray Baker of Dickson; three brother-in-laws, Virgil Reynolds of Dickson, Morris Reynolds of Waverly and Horace Reynolds of Bon Aqua; and 13 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Vesta Baker; and nephew, Bobby Baker.
Dimple Aleene Faulkner
Funeral services for Mrs. Dimple Aleene Faulkner, 86, of Lorton, Va., were 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Randy Franklin officiating. Interment
followed in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Faulkner, a homemaker, was born in Dickson County. She died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Springfield Health Plex in Lorton, Va. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Woodbridge, Va.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Charles O. Faulkner of Lorton, Va.; son, Ronald O. Faulkner and his wife, Cheryl, of Lorton, Va.; two brothers, J.B. Stewart and Johnnie Stewart, both of Dickson; two sisters, Bettye Kinnie and Mai Eads, both of Nashville; granddaughter, Kellye Faulkner; and grandson, Eric Faulkner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Blake and Hallie Vetters Stewart; and sisters, Christine Edwards, Birdie Pruitt and Marie Presley.

Malcolm L. Fielder

Mr. Fielder, a painting contractor, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his son, Steve Fielder and his wife, Carolyn, of Dickson; two grandchildren, Kristin Ann Fielder and Ashley Brook Fielder, both of Dickson; and mother of his son, Margaret Fielder of Dickson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Valley Donegan Fielder.
Kenneth Michael Hafner Sr.

Mr. Hafner, born in Dickson County to Joe B. and Hazel Baggett Hafner, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004. He attended White Bluff Church of Christ. He was a tool and die setter with Interstate Packaging.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Marie Spicer Hafner of White Bluff; sons, Kenneth Michael Hafner Jr. and his wife, Michele, Roger Hafner and his wife, Rhonda, Dylan Hafner and Larry Jones, all of White Bluff, and Steven Jones of Nashville; daughters, Michelle Birt and her husband, Ronnie, of Dickson, and Jody Davis and her husband, Gary, of Waverly; mother, Hazel Baggett Hafner of Charlotte; brother, Robert Hafner and his wife, Sandy, of Charlotte; nine grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Courtney, Adrienne, Hailey, Joshua, Jonathan, Samuel and Whitney; three nieces; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe B. Hafner.
Victoria Michelle Kennedy

Kennedy died Thursday, June 24, 2004 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Survivors include her parents, Tim and Rebecca Glass Kennedy of Dickson; brothers, Tristyn Kennedy and Michael Kennedy, both of Dickson; sisters, Mallory Kennedy, Taylor Kennedy and Sara Kennedy, all of Dickson; paternal grandparents, Teresa and Matt Boner of Fairview; maternal grandparents, Marian and Randy Sharp of Dickson; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Mike Glass.
Robert L. Moore

Mr. Moore, a retired steel worker with Nashville Bridge Company and farmer, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Dickson County Nursing Home. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Rachel Virginia Spann Moore of White Bluff; brother, James Moore of Burns; sisters, Myrtle Ruth Stewart and Dorothy Fussell, both of Dickson; and several nieces and nephews.
Charles Robert Woods
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Robert Woods, 67, were 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2004 from the White Bluff Chapel in White Bluff with Bro. David Peeler officiating. Interment

Mr. Woods, born in Dickson County to John Columbus and Mattie Mae Romines Woods, died Saturday, June 26, 2004 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was a retired self-employed roofer.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ladd Woods of White Bluff; sons, Charles Wilbur Woods of Hermitage and Christopher Robert Woods of Benton, Ky.; daughters, Carrie Lynne Breauchy of White Bluff, Cheryl Faye Hagler of White Bluff and Carol Nanette Woods of Charlotte; sister, Joan Baker of McEwen; and 10 grandchildren.
James Robert Gibbs
Funeral services for Mr. James Robert Gibbs, 57, were 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Brock officiating. Interment
followed at Union cemetery.
Mr. Gibbs of Pegram was born in Dickson County October 16, 1946. He died Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was a manager for Sessions Sealing Company, served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970, served as chairman of deacons at First Baptist Church of Pegram and was a member of the Gideons International.
Survivors include wife, Shirley Crowe Gibbs of Pegram; son, James Robert Gibbs Jr. and wife, Pamela, of Pegram; mother, Edna Mae Gibbs of McEwen; sister, Gayle Winstead and husband, Garland, of McEwen; one niece; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent L. Gibbs.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Gideons International.
James Harold Goodson
Mr. James Harold Goodson, 68, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. Dickson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. No visitation or services are planned at this time.
Mr. Goodson of Lyles was born in Asheville, N.C., January 25, 1936. He worked in the shipping department at a lumber company in Oregon and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Merrillyn Jan Goodson of Lyles; son, Todd M. Goodson and wife, Inge, of Bon Aqua; daughter, Jan Kathleen Dosser of Lyles; and grandson, Chaz Tyler Goodson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. Goodson and Pauline C. Searcy Goodson.
