Dorothy Dismukes Kemp
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Dismukes Kemp, 78, are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 at Humphreys County Funeral Home in Waverly. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 10 from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Interment icon will follow in Alsobrook cemetery in Erin.
Mrs. Kemp of Hoover, Ala., was born April 7, 1926 in Nashville. She resided in Ozark, Ala. for 30 years, Dickson and most recently Hoover, Ala. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.
Survivors include her son, Jim Kemp; daughter-in-law, Tammy; daughter, Karen Kemp Shuttleworth; son-in-law, Kelley; sister, Martha Lou Griesmer; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril B. Davidson and James Donaldson Dismukes; twin sister, Emma Jean Hunt; and sister, Marjorie Eloise Lee.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sean and Erik Shuttleworth and Stephen Kemp and nephews, Sanders Hunt, David Hunt, Steve Hunt, Jim Hunt, Dan Griesmer and Joe Lee.
Memorials can be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 12505, Birmingham, AL, 35202.

Montana Aaron Mote
Graveside services for infant Montana Aaron Mote are noon Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 at Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
Infant Mote died Monday, Aug. 23 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Survivors include his parents, Tracey Warren and Sonja Patricia Atchley Mote of Dickson; paternal grandparents, Lowell Mote of Hatton, Ala., and Linda Nance of Kingston Springs; maternal grandmother, Norma Haroldine Atchley of Joelton; sister, Savannah Mote of Dickson; and paternal great-grandmother, Annie Warren of Ashland City.

Annie Laurie Wiley
Graveside services for Mrs. Annie Laurie Wiley, 87, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Nashville with Rev. Roy West officiating. Services under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wiley, born in Covington County, Ala., to Sherman J. and Nina Isbell Jeffries Livings, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004 at NHC in Dickson. She was a retired librarian at Madison High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Nashville.
Survivors include her grandson, Tim Wiley of Naples, Fla.; great-grandson, Matthew Wiley; niece, Jeannie Beckham of Panama City, Fla.; two nephews, Harry Duke of Pensacola, Fla., and Tommy Duke of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Burnard Wiley.

Joshua Russell Allen
Funeral services for Joshua Russell Allen, 22, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel in Knoxville with Rev. Tim Frank officiating.
Mr. Russell, a native of Knoxville and Cookeville, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 in Cookeville. He was a member of Steven Street Baptist Church in Cookeville. He was a graduate of Bearden High School and a junior at Tennessee Tech University. He was active in AYSO and Club Soccer and a member of Campus Outreach.
Survivors include his father, Richard (Rick) Allen of Knoxville; brother, Mathew (Matt) Allen of Orange, Calif.; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Marion McNeilis of West Warwick, R.I.; special friend, Mary Owenby; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joshua was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle McNeilis Allen.

Zola Alberta Hayworth Crawford
Memorial services for Mrs. Zola Alberta Hayworth Crawford, 95, were 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004 from the United Methodist Church in Dickson with Rev. Phil Ross and Rev. Roy West officiating. Arrangements were handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crawford, born in Indiana to Alva Hayworth and Iona Olham Hayworth, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 at her home. She was a retired bookkeeper for Pico Petroleum in Nashville and a member of First United Methodist Church of Dickson.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Campbell of Dickson; brothers, Archie Hayworth of Columbus, Ind., and Ed Hayworth of Florida; sister, Bea Thompson of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Debbie Prater and Bryan Campbell of Dickson; great-grandchild, Krissy Prater of Dickson; and several nieces and nephews.

Sue Hand Loggins
Funeral services for Sue Hand Loggins, 67, are 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Roy West officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Loggins was born in Dickson County to the late William Claude Hand and Frances Suggs Hand. She was the wife of the late Jimmy Loggins. She was a secretary for the Dickson County High School for 33 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Loggins Greer of Nashville; sisters, Nell Frizzell of Rockwood and Rena Willey of Dickson; grandsons, Richard Dean Greer Jr. and Herold Linden “Hal” Greer.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004 from 10 a.m.-noon and 2 p.m.-8 p.m.

Virgil Lampley
Funeral services for Mr. Virgil Lampley, 84, are 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2004 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Thomas Sullivan and Brother Edgar Meek officiating. Interment icon will follow in Jack Lampley cemetery. Visitation will be Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Lampley of Burns was born in Dickson County. He died Aug. 30, 2004 at Baptist Hospital. He was a retired carpenter with Tennessee Equipment Supply Company. He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army from 1941-1946.
Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Gass and husband, Lyle of Burns; sons, Benny Lampley and wife, Bobbie of Dickson, Donald Lampley and wife, Martha of Bon Aqua, and Jimmy Lampley and wife, Dorothy of Fairview; brother, J. C. Lampley of Bon Aqua; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Walter Johnson Luther
Funeral services for Mr. Walter Johnson Luther, 71, were 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Lewis Bratton and Bro. Warren Medley officiating. Interment icon followed in the Luther Family cemetery in Dickson.
Mr. Luther, born in Dickson County to John Wesley and Dennie Irene Blanton Luther, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at his home.
He was the owner and operator of the former Luther’s Texaco in Dickson. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Dickson Masonic Lodge #468, Dickson York Rite Masonic Bodies, Al Menah Shrine Temple and Dickson Order of Eastern Star #291. He was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Luther of Dickson; son, Jay Luther of Nashville; daughters, Edna Faye Luther of Dickson, Debbie Ruf and her husband, Peter Ruf of Dickson, Kim Bartels and her husband, Brad Bartels of Nashville; brother, Charlie Luther of Dickson; sisters, Martha Tidwell of Bon Aqua, Dovie Qualls of Pleasantville, Linda Griffin of Hendersonville and Louise Bowker of Charlotte; grandchildren, Trey Steele, Whitney Smith, Morgan Bartels and Brayden Luther Bartels.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Bartels; parents, John Wesley and Dennie Irene Blanton Luther; brother, Bill Luther; and sisters, Bessie Buttrey and Freddie Lynn.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital or Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Doris M. Moore
Graveside services for Ms. Doris M. Moore, 84, are 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2004 at Union cemetery with Bro. John Farr officiating. Visitation is Sept. 3 from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at Dickson Funeral Home.
Ms. Moore of Stevensville, Mont., was born in Dickson County Oct. 21, 1919. She died Aug. 29, 2004 in Stevensville, Mont. She was a factory worker for H.I.S.
Survivors include her son, Patrick Moore and wife, Heidi of Gadsden; stepsons, Gaylon, Bobbie and Ronnie Moore; ex-son-in-law, Greg Kovacich; daughter, Cozette Kovacich and her partner, Greg Stueckrath of Stevensville, Mont.; and granddaughter, Katy of Gadsden.

Dianne Petty Spann
Graveside services for Mrs. Dianne Petty Spann, 62, were 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 at Rock Church cemetery with Bro. Joel Plunkett officiating. Arrangements were handled by Spann Funeral Home.
Mrs. Spann of Charlotte died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond L. (Froggy) Spann of Charlotte; daughters, Nancy Stanley of White Bluff and Maria Willett of Charlotte; son, John Spann of Charlotte; brother, Dale Petty of Parsons; sister, Nancy Kraus of Nashville; and eight grandchildren.

Bethel Eurene Cooksey
Funeral services for Mrs. Bethel Eurene Cooksey, 89, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Brooks and Bro. James Carrington officiating. Interment icon will follow in Cooksey cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
Mrs. Cooksey of Vanleer was born in Dickson County Nov. 11, 1914. She died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at Summit Medical Center. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Milton Cooksey and wife, Barbara of New Port Richey, Fla.; daughter, Carolyn Reilly of Nashville; grandchildren, Kimberly Barnes of Old Hickory, Brian Cooksey of Nashville and Chris Reilly of Atlanta, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Cooksey cemetery Fund.

Ellen Groves
Funeral services for Ms. Ellen P. Groves, 89, were 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Crews and Rev. Paul Sitton officiating. Interment icon followed in Rock Springs cemetery. Arrangements handled by Dickson Funeral Home.
Ms. Groves of Charlotte was born in Cheatham County Dec. 24, 1914. She died Aug. 27, 2004 at Gateway Hospital in Clarksville. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Etta Hatcher
Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Hatcher, 92, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004 at the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Joe McGaw officiating. Interment icon will follow in Lampley cemetery. Visitation will be Sept. 1 from 9 a.m. until the service.
Mrs. Hatcher of Fairview was born in Williamson County Nov. 11, 1911. She died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at NHC Health Care Center. She was retired from Washington Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include her son, Gene Hatcher and wife, Linda of Fairview; grandson, Tommy Hatcher and wife, Cynthia of Fairview; and great-granddaughter, Madison Rose Hatcher of Murfreesboro.
