Margaret Owen
Funeral services for Ms. Margaret E. Owen, 91, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Lankford and Rev. Max Lankford officiating. Interment icon followed in the Duggan cemetery.
Ms. Owen of Dickson died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 at her home.
Survivors include her stepbrothers, James Greer of Fairview and Joe Greer of Eddyville, Ky.; sister, Roberta Robertson of Versalles, Ky.; special friends, Wilma and Tommy Cunningham of Dickson; and several nieces and nephews.

Ollie Parker
Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie S. Parker, 91, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with James Hinckle officiating. Interment icon will follow in Mt. Zion Methodist Church cemetery in Montgomery County. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 1 at Sykes Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parker of Cumberland Furnace was born in Dickson County Aug. 22, 1913. She died Aug. 29, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. She was a homemaker and a member of Dunns Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Archie Glenn Parker of Huntsville, Ala., and Doug Parker of Cumberland Furnace; daughter, Dorothy Ann Gilliland of Charlotte; sisters, Mamie Smith of Dickson; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Henry Spann and Nannie Elizabeth Gafford Spann; and husband, James Hershell Parker.
Pallbearers were Casey Boice, Shane Carroll, Michael Gilliland, Brian Ivey, Larry Ivey, Keith Jordan, Kyle Parker, Terry Parker, Tracy Parker and Keat David Pittman.

Wanda Jean Pewitt
Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Jean Pewitt, 69, were 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 at the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Buttery officiating. Interment icon followed in Hudgins cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Williamson Funeral Home in Franklin.
Mrs. Pewitt of Fairview was born in Putnam County. She died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at Alive Hospice. She was a retired machine operator at Tennessee Tufting and a member of Liberty Lincoln Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Leland Pewitt of Fairview; son, David White and wife, Perri of Brentwood; sister, Georgie Allen and husband, Harold of Cookeville; granddaughter, Dailyn White; stepdaughter, Tracy Mayo of Fairview; and two step-grandchildren.

Lawrence Eugene Stiltner
Funeral services for Mr. Lawrence Eugene Stiltner, 60, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Blankenship officiating. Interment icon followed in Bakers cemetery.
Mr. Stiltner of Dickson was born in Buchanan County, Va. He died Aug. 29, 2004 at his residence. He was a disabled construction worker. He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army from 1959-1966 and a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Cude Stiltner of Dickson; brothers, Jack Stiltner of Bon Aqua, Leonard Stiltner of Gray and Fred Stiltner of Grundy, Va.; sisters, Leon Sphar Sphar, Alice Yates and Julie Poland, all of Grundy, Va., Lucy Dudley of Dickson, Brenda Crawford of Dickson and Rachel Clark of Clawson, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

John William Bradford
Funeral services for Mr. John William Bradford, 88, were 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating. Interment icon followed in Weems cemetery.
Mr. Bradford of Dickson was born in Dickson County April 2, 1916. He died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was a retired painter at the University of Michigan and served his country in World War II.
Survivors include his son, Douglas Bradford and wife, Deanna of Howell, Mich.; daughters, Sara Hoskins of Ypsilanti, Mich., Margie Honeycutt of Westland, Mich., and Betty Lily of Lake City, S.C.; sister, Lillian Elliott of Nashville; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville.

Ruth Louise Hardin Crafton
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Louise Hardin Crafton, 73, were 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Dudley Davis officiating. Interment icon followed in Holt cemetery in Franklin.
Mrs. Crafton of Dickson was born in Williamson County June 10, 1931. She died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Euless Lavoid Crafton of Dickson; sons, Dwight Lee Hardin and wife, Debi of Madison, Michael Hardin and wife, Cathie of Dickson, Billy Lloyd Hardin and wife, Kim of Bedford, Ind., Gary Wayne Hardin and wife, Debra and Roger Dale Hardin, both of Dickson; daughters, Donna Faye Burdette and husband Bill, Debbie Louann Horne and Tina Marie Crabtree and husband, Donald, all of Bon Aqua,; brothers, Jefferson Johnson and Bennie Johnson Jr., both of Dickson; sister, Essie B. Williams of Franklin; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Helen Rita Wilson Flaherty
Helen Rita Wilson Flaherty, 76, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Her remains were cremated. Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson handled arrangements.
She was a home care nurse. She was a member of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her sons, Dennis Clemons of Dickson and James Wilson of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Kenny Wilson of Springfield, N.Y.; and sister, Etta Wilson.
A native of Langford, N.Y., she was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Flaherty and her parents, John McGilvery and Angela Schneider Wilson.

James Elige Gentry
Funeral services for Mr. James Elige Gentry, 84, were 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 from the White Bluff Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Nelson officiating. Interment icon followed in Williams cemetery in White Bluff.
Mr. Gentry of Dickson was born in Dickson County Nov. 3, 1919. He died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. He was a carpenter and served his country in World War II with the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his sons, Randy Lee Gentry and wife, Luci and Larry Gentry, all of Dickson; daughter, Martha Sue Borell and husband, Pat of Hammond, Ind.; sister, Grace Albert of Dickson; special niece, Dorothy “Penny” Blazevich of Nashville; several other nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren.

Walter Dale Gray
Funeral services for Mr. Walter Dale Gray, 56, are 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 from the White Bluff Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Tholen officiating. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Mr. Gray of White Bluff was born in Dickson County Dec. 24, 1947. He died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at Horizon Medical Center. He was an architect.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Faye Gray of White Bluff; son, Ricky Gray and wife, Melissa of White Bluff; daughters, Tonya King and Melissa Bowker, both of White Bluff; brothers, Ricky Gray and wife, Betty Ruth, Jimmy Gray and wife, Sandy, Gerald Gray and wife, Joyce, all of Bon Aqua and Danny Gray of Cuba Landing-Waverly; sisters, Christine Brown and husband, Melvin of Burns and Lorene Brown of Dickson; and nine grandchildren.

Bonnie Jean Hood
Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Jean Hood, 72, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Rev. Tom Herring officiating. Interment icon followed in Warf cemetery in Centerville.
Mrs. Hood, born in Stoney Ridge, Ohio, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2004 at Centerville Health Care Center. She was a housekeeper. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Richina Renfrow of Franklin; sister, Deloris Henry of Elmore, Ohio; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hood; and parents, Russell Sandwich and Agnes Snider Sandwich.

Patricia Ann Martin Polk
Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Martin Polk, 66, were 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Jeff Keele and Bro. Don Helton officiating. Interment icon followed at Woodlawn cemetery in Nashville.
Mrs. Polk, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004 at Christian Care Center in Cheatham County. A graduate of the Great Commission School with honors, she was a Bible School teacher for over 30 years. She was a leader of Brownie and Girl Scout troops, a devoted sports mom and former president of the Locust Creek Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of the New Spring Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Polk of Bon Aqua; daughters, Donna Burroughs of Nolensville and Angie Lococo of Clarksville; sons, Monty Polk of Bloomington, Ill., and John Polk of Bon Aqua; father, J. T. Martin of Brooksville, Fla.; sister, Sherry McCormick of Soddy Daisy; brothers, Ronnie Martin and Billy Martin, both of Brooksville, Fla.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Gail McClure; and mother, Margaret Elizabeth Harding Martin.
Memorials may be made to New Spring Church of Christ.

Dorthulia “Dot” Spicer
Memorial services for Dorthulia C. “Dot” Spicer, 81, were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 from Maricamp Road Church of Christ in Ocala, Fla., with Jack D. Duty officiating. Services were under the direction of Hiers Funeral Home in Ocala, Fla.
Mrs. Spicer, a native of Burns, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004 in Ocala, Fla. She was a member of the Maricamp Road Church of Christ and a member of Christian Home and Bible School in Mt. Dora, Fla.
Survivors include her husband, Paul J. Spicer of Ocala, Fla.; daughters, Suzanne Henley of Colleyville, Texas, and Nancee Bryant of Nashville; six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Wyburn.
Memorials may be made to Christian Home and Bible School, 301 West 13th Ave., Mt. Dora, FL, 32757.
