Funeral services for Mr. Landis Stanley Dill, 56, were 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Enoch Lankford officiating. Interment
followed in Jackson’s Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Dill, born in Nashville to William and Geneva Dill, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004 at his home. His last place of employment was Quebecor. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Curtis Dill of Dickson; sons, Chris Dill of Dickson, Todd Dill of McEwen and Kevin Dill of Waverly; brothers, Bill Dill of Ashland City, Randall Dill of Virginia, Gordon Dill and Kenneth Dill, both of Dickson; sisters, Linda Sesler and Pam Wells, both of Charlotte; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Geneva Dill.
Annie Lankford Glass
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lankford Glass, 88, were 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home in Dickson. Bro. Steven Reeves and Sanders Peeler officiated. Burial was in Union cemetery.
Mrs. Glass of Dickson passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004 at NHC Healthcare Center. She was born in Dickson County. She was a retired supervisor for the Henry I. Siegel plant and a member of Oak Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Elmer Glass and his wife, Wanda, of Dickson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mineva Tidwell Lankford; her husband, Harvey Glass; brothers Willie, Elton, Elmer, Donald, Clayton, Graydon, Huey, Basil, Odelee and Parker Lankford; sisters Myrtie Autenrieth, Mai Hogin and Ruby Fussell Norman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cassie Ann Moore
Funeral services for Mrs. Cassie Ann Moore, 98, were 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004 at Dickson Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Bratton and Dr. Jim Chatham officiating. Interment
followed in Union cemetery.
Mrs. Moore of Dickson was born in Dawson Springs, Ky., Nov. 17, 1905. She died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004 at her residence. She was a schoolteacher and employee at HIS and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dickson for 86 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Morris and husband Bob of Dickson; sister, Jane Smith and husband, Melvin of Dickson; grandchildren, Charles Burgess, Janice Cauthern and husband, Dan, Jim Bob Morris and Barbara Holloway, all of Dickson, Mike Morris of Lawrenceburg, Julie Welch and husband, Rollow of Adams, Sharon Clearwater and husband, John of Ft. Irwin, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Russell Smith and wife, Shauna, Jennifer Thomas and husband, Michael, and Jeremy Holloway, all of Dickson, Troy Morris of Lawrenceburg, Cassie and Cole Welch of Adams and Angela and Rose Clearwater of Ft. Irwin, Calif.; and great-great grandchildren, Cameron Smith and Jordan Smith of Dickson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert and Charlie Ely Hagood; husband, Wade Moore; daughter, Ann Burgess; son-in-law, Paul Burgess; sisters, Madge Hagood Daniel and Lula Page Holloran; and brothers, Hardy Hagood and Charles Hagood.
Shawn Moriarty
Shawn T. Moriarty, 39, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004 at his home in Jacksonville, Fla.
He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Clara Moriarty of Dickson; brother, Carl Moriarty; and sister, Tracy Meade and husband, Dennis.
The family will have a private service at a later date. Town and Country Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fla., handled arrangements.
Arthur Turner Reynolds
Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Turner Reynolds, 75, were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004 from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Batson officiating. Interment
followed in Jackson Chapel cemetery in Charlotte.
Mr. Reynolds of Clarksville died at his home Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004. He was a retired building contractor and a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Jane Reynolds of Clarksville; sons, Arthur Reynolds Jr. and wife, Verisa of Clarksville, Ricky Reynolds and wife, Diane of Clarksville, Tim Reynolds and wife, Ali of Charlotte and Mark Reynolds and wife, Paula of Clarksville; daughter, Janice Arms and husband, Kenny of Memphis; brother, Billy Reynolds and wife, Gail of Clarksville; sisters, Marjorie Osborne and husband, Harold of Clarksville and Ailene Christy of Clarksville; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Samuel Reynolds and Rosie Mae Hollis Reynolds; and son, Kenneth Reynolds.

Birdie Louise Tatum

Mrs. Tatum of Lyles was born in Nunnelly Nov. 23, 1921. She died Aug. 14, 2004 at NHC of Dickson. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her uncle, Ivy (Allene) Armstrong of Dickson; nephew, Brandon Lawson of Texas; and aunt Irene Gidcomb of Denver, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar Tatum; father, Lemmie Lea Lawson; mother, Fannie Bell (Armstrong) Lawson; brother, John Earl Lawson; and sister, Lillian Deere.
Samuel Kermit Totty

Mr. Totty of Nashville was born in Dickson County June 21, 1916. He died Aug. 11, 2004 in Nashville. He was retired in transportation with T.V.A.
Survivors include his wife, Erla Buchanan Totty of Nashville; son, Howard Totty and wife, Sharon of Nashville; daughter, Sammie Fulton and husband, Dick of Nashville; grandchildren, Wade Fulton, Tracie Forbes and James Totty; and two great-grandchildren, Russell and Amanda Forbes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William S. and Nettie Brown Totty; and sisters, Lois Borchert and Lera Luther.
Dottie Davidson Wall

Mrs. Wall of Dickson died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004 at Baptist Hospital.
Survivors include special nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.
Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wall.
The family requests that donations be made to the Mid-Cumberland Meals on Wheels where she served as a nutrition site aide.

Lorena Ray Potts
Funeral services for Mrs. Lorena Ray (Lo) Potts, 79, are 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2004 from the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy West and Rev. Phil Ross officiating. Interment
will follow in the Fuson addition of Dickson Union cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
Visitation is Friday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Mrs. Potts, a loving and caring mother and homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004 at her home. A native of Dickson County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Mabel Watts Ray.
She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Book Review Club of Dickson. She loved the game of bridge and all the Bridge Club members.
She was a graduate of Dickson High School, where she was a majorette and later attended the Ward-Belmont College in Nashville. She was married
for 56 years to William A. (Bill) Potts, who died a week prior to her death on Aug. 3, 2004.
Survivors include her daughters, Ann Potts Sechser and her husband, Don of Franklin and Carol Potts Sensing and her husband, Barry of Franklin; grandchildren, Martha Tidwell, Will Tidwell, John Sensing, Ann Sensing and Lindsay Sechser; sisters, Mrs. Virginia Ray Hayes of Dickson and Mrs. Aletha Ray Mayes and her husband, Jack of Dickson.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Dickson County.
