Mark Hall Fielder

A memorial service for Mark Hall Fielder, 50, of West Hollywood, Calif., will be held Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson. His remains were cremated and will be interred in Dickson Union cemetery following the service.

Mr. Fielder, who was born in Kansas City, Mo., to Billye Ford and Ruth Christine Hall Fielder, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 in Hollywood, Calif. He was an actor with the Screen Actor’s Guild.

Survivors include his brother, Phillip Fielder of San Diego, Calif.; aunts and uncles, Anne Hall Weems and her husband, Garland of Dickson, Dan Hall and his wife, Emma of Burns, Julian Fielder of Nashville, Rebecca Fielder of Bowling Green, Ky., and Bernard Fielder of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Fielder; and sister, Onita Fielder.

Edna Jane Fields

Funeral services for Edna Jane Fields, 70, of Northville, Mich., are 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005 from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Rev. Bernie Harris officiating. Interment icon will follow in Bon Aqua Methodist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Fields died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia, Mich. She was a former resident of Bon Aqua.

Survivors include her husband, Everett Fields of Northville, Mich.; mother, Bessie Green Terrell of Bon Aqua; stepfather, Neil Terrell of Bon Aqua; daughter, Jill Sweeney and her husband, Chris and granddaughters, Samantha and Ashley Sweeney, all of Northville, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Green; and brother, Bill Green.

Harding Roosevelt Daugherty

Funeral services for Mr. Harding Roosevelt Daugherty, 84, were 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005 at New Hope Baptist Church in Bon Aqua with Bro. James Parham officiating. Interment icon followed in New Hope-Tidwell cemetery. Services were under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson.

Mr. Daugherty was born in Williamson County. He was an auto mechanic instructor with the State of Tennessee at Turney Center. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school director and deacon. He was a past member of the Fairview Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Jewell Tidwell Parker Daugherty of Bon Aqua; two sons, Tony Daugherty and his wife, Cheryl of Murfreesboro and Michael Daugherty of Arrington; three brothers, Albert Daugherty of Nashville, Leslie Daugherty of Smyrna and Wesley Daugherty of Indiana; three sisters, Eula Hutcheson of Nashville, Beatrice Lindsley and Estleene Tidwell, both of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin and Elizabeth Sullivan Daugherty.

Sara Nell Dickey

Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Nell Dickey, 85, of Lyles were 3 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Wrigley Baptist Church with Jerry Milam officiating. Burial was in Wrigley Methodist cemetery. Arrangements were handled by McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville.

Mrs. Dickey died March 23, 2005 at NHC in Dickson. She was born July 9, 1919 in Auburntown, Tenn. She was a homemaker and member of Wrigley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Allen Reid Dickey of Lyles; daughters, Jodey Ann King of Bon Aqua and Sara Alice Nash of Brentwood; brothers, Winfred Gaither of Auburntown and Jerry Gaither of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, D. Allen Dickey; and parents, Jesse Gaither and Jodey Hawkins Gaither.

James Willard Gray

James Willard Gray, 62, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. His remains were cremated. Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gray was owner of Graymont Inc., a medical consultant business. He was born in Corinth, Miss. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Memphis and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Melba Nelson Gray of Charlotte; two sons, Chris Gray of St. Louis, Mo., and David Gray of Dickson; sister, Henrietta Davis of Memphis; and four grandchildren: Jonathan Gray, Garrett Gray, Emily Morrow and Chad Morrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clyde and Ruth Strickland Gray.

William Howard Irwin

Graveside services for Mr. William Howard Irwin, 76, of Madison, Ala., were 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans cemetery. Arrangements were by the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home.

Mr. Irwin died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 in Huntsville, Ala. He was born April 1, 1928 in Humphreys County. He was a retired staff sergeant from the U.S. Air Force and was a barber for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Marjory Irwin of Madison, Ala.; son, David R. Irwin of Hazel Green, Ala.; brother, Curtis Irwin and his wife, Mary of Fairview; sister, Debra A. Jeffers and her husband, Kevin of Rangoul, Ill.; two grandchildren, Erica Jeffers and Sherry Pine, both of Rangoul, Ill.; and a great-grandchild, Aiden Pine of Rangoul, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rainey Clevie Hood Irwin and George Washington Irwin.

Mayra Adan Navarette

Mayra Adan Navarett, 23, of Dickson died Friday, March 25, 2005 in Bon Aqua. Her remains were cremated. Visitation with the family was held Tuesday, March 29, 2005 in the chapel of the Memorial Crematory in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson.

Born in Mexico, she was the daughter of Balfre Adan Romero and Cecelia Navarette of Dickson. She was an assembly line worker at Fiesta Gas Grills in Dickson.

Survivors include her daughter, Imperio Adan Navarette of Dickson, her parents; her sisters, Marina Adan Navarette of Mexico and Cecelia Adan Navarette of Dickson.

Marion Klyce Nolen Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Marion Klyce Nolen Jr., 62, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Brother William Gray and Brother Jimmy Moize officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Cumberland Furnace cemetery.

Mr. Nolen, who was born in Cumberland Furnace, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Mr. Nolen was an iron and metal worker and a former employee at Tennessee Casting Co. and Tennsco. He was a graduate of Charlotte High School and a member of the Sylvia Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and song leader.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Streetman Nolen of Charlotte; a son, Marion Klyce Nolen III of Charlotte; a daughter, Amy Nolen of Dickson; three brothers, Bill Nolen of Dickson, L.C. Nolen and his wife, Barbara of Dickson, and Mark Nolen and his wife, Heidi of Clarksville; three sisters, Helen Braddy of Dickson, Glenda Dawson and her husband, Norman of Cumberland Furnace and Denise Nolen of Centerville; and two grandchildren, Davin Nolen and Anthony Weaver.

Mr. Nolen was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Klyce Nolen Sr. and Dixie Irene Christy Nolen.

Virginia Jean Canady Parker

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Jean Canady Parker, 79, were 3 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2005 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson with Bro. Sanders Peeler officiating. Interment icon followed in Memory Gardens in Hickman County.

Mrs. Parker died Friday, March 25, 2005 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. She was born in Hickman County to the late Clarence D. and Sarah E. Plunckett Canady. She was a retired supervisor with the Department of Motor Vehicles for the State of Tennessee. She was a member of Oak Ave. Church of Christ and Dickson Business and Professional Women’s Club.

Survivors include her son, John Nathan Parker of Cottontown; brothers, Ralph Canady of Kinston, N.C., and Douglas Canady of Centerville; sisters, Shirley Mohon of Dickson and Carol Clahane of LaVergne; three grandchildren, Bret Parker, Courtney Parker and Kyle Parker; great-grandchild, Nikki Parker; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Ray Parker.

Alma Ruth Jones Travis

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Ruth Jones Travis, 92, of Charlotte were 2 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Dickson Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Cullom and Bro. Mike Richardson officiating. Burial followed in Jackson Chapel cemetery.

Mrs. Travis died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Hillcrest Healthcare in Ashland City. She was born April 10, 1912. She was a certified nursing assistant.

Survivors include her sons, Howard Travis and his wife, Iye of of Dickson, Bobby Travis and his wife, Ann of Fairview, W.A. Travis Jr. and his wife, Ann of Charlotte, and Jimmy Travis and his wife, Diane of Dickson; daughters, Helen Wall and her husband, Bill of Charlotte, Roberta Sutton and her husband, Phillip of Southside, and Diane Hayes and her husband, Billy of Dickson; sister, Alice Booker of Dickson; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Lillian Richardson Jones; husband, William Albert “Dude” Travis; son, Raymond Nelson Travis; granddaughter, Wendy Dawn Travis; grandson, Gary Neil Travis; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Seals.

Michael Caserta

Funeral services for Michael P. Caserta, 85, are 10 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 at St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church in Gates Mills, Ohio. Entombment to follow in All Souls cemetery in Chardon Township. Arrangements by DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home in Maysfield Heights, Ohio.

Mr. Caserta, a former resident of Dickson and a self-employed builder, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 in The Liberty Assisted Living at Heather Hill Skilled Nursing Facility.

Survivors include four sisters, Lena Centracko, Laura Carcioppolo, Albina Kenney and Virginia Getman; and several nieces and nephews and good friends.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Steele, Ida Hrusch and Mary Scicolone; and four brothers, Albert, Albino, Willie and Eugene Caserta.

Rose Holloran Baker

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose W. Holloran Baker, 89, of McEwen were 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2005 at St. Patrick Church in McEwen with Rev. John Sims Baker officiating. Interment icon was in St. Patrick cemetery. Luff Bowen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Baker died Friday, March 18, 2005 at NHC in Dickson. She was a retired seamstress for Henry I. Seigel Co. in Dickson.

Survivors include her son, John C. Baker and his wife, Karen of Franklin; three grandchildren, Ashley Alexander, J.T. Baker and Brandon Bass; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie G. Baker; and parents, John and Ann Tarpy Holloran.

Jimmy Neil Bentley

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Neil Bentley, 66, of Lyles are 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville with Tony Hill officiating. Interment icon is in Hilltop cemetery.

Mr. Bentley died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. He was born May 14, 1938 in Centerville. He was a grinder at Lasco and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Annie (Turman) Bentley of Lyles; son, Randy Bentley of Lyles; brothers, Jerry Bentley of Nashville, Larry Tidwell of Lyles, Tommy Tidwell of Lyles, Ricky Bentley of Dickson and Tommy Bentley; and sisters, Billie Hill of Lyles, Gail Tidwell of Lyles and Monecia Malady of Lyles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny Bentley and Mildred (Martin) Bentley.
