SANDRA DEE GARRISON

HUNTINGDON: Sandra Dee Garrison, 44, of died Monday, September 25, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, September 28, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Olive Branch cemetery.
Mrs. Garrison was born July 7, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois. She worked as a seamstress in Double Springs, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Clarabell (Galusha) Hunter; one sister, Teresa Ann Hunter; and one brother, Ronald James Hunter.
Survivors include: her father, Robert Hunter of Huntingdon; one son, Anthony Garrison of Huntingdon; one sister, Judy Brown of Tuscumbia, Alabama; and four brothers, Alan Hunter and Robbie Hunter, both of Huntingdon, Gary Hunter and Eddie Hunter, both of Paris.

DORIS JEAN SIMPSON ROGERS
1935-2006
TREZEVANT: Doris Jean Simpson Rogers, 70, died Monday, September 25, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 27, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating. Burial followed in the Howse cemetery.
Mrs. Rogers was born November 4, 1935 in Camden to the late Jessie and Bessie (Arnold) Davis. She was a retired seamstress, homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Trezevant, the RSVP singing group, and active in the picking and grinning in Paris. She was preceded in death by one sister, Beulah Sauls; and three brothers, Cleveland Davis, Monroe Davis, and Joe Davis.
Survivors include: her husband, Herbert E. Rogers; two sisters, Alma Oatsvall (Carnell) of Camden, Ruby Rachus (Tony) of Illinois; two grandsons; one great-grandson, five step-children, and several nieces and nephews with special honors to Carol Martinez.

MARILYN DENISE LOVE
1963-2006
CAMDEN: Marilyn Denise Love, 43, died Monday, September 25, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services were Wednesday, September 27, at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill cemetery with Bro. Tommy Oatsvall officiating.
Ms. Love was born March 3, 1963 to Roby Autry who survives and the late Faye Patterson Phifer. She was preceded in death by one sister, Robbie "Susie" Rhodes.
Survivors include: her significant other, Terry Birdwell of Camden; two sons, James Wesley Love and Roy Love, both of Camden; six sisters, Debbie Peach and Kimberly Taylor, both of Camden, Peggy Lawton, Rita Norris and Serina Bell, all of Bruceton, and Regina Simpson of Westport; one brother, Alex Autry of Vale; and her grandmother, Opal Patterson of Camden.
Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

KIMBERLY PRUITT BOYD
1963-2006
MCKENZIE: Kimberly Pruitt Boyd, 43, died Tuesday, September 26, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were Thursday, September 28, at 2 p.m. at McKenzie Funeral Home with burial in Enon cemetery.
Ms. Boyd was born June 28, 1963 in Carroll County to the late Edward Lee Pruitt and Doris Pruitt Dill.
Survivors include: one son, Anthony Simmons of Lexington; one brother, Keith Pruitt of Henry; and three sisters, Marilyn Paschall of Buchanan, Theresa Bottoms of Selmer and Carole Blassingame of Gleason.

JAMES PHERON MCARTHUR
1923-2006
ATWOOD: James Pheron McArthur, 83, died Tuesday, September 26, at Milan Healthcare. Funeral services were Friday, September 29, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with burial in Pisgah cemetery.
Mr. McArthur was born March 1, 1923 in Carroll County to the late Johnie B. and Willodean Warbritton McArthur. He was a retired government inspector for the Defense Department and a member of First Baptist Church in Atwood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Mai McArthur; one brother, Joe T. McArthur; and three sisters, Vonita Crews, Reba Campbell and Brenda Kay McArthur.
Survivors include: one son, Garry (Cheri) McArthur of Atwood; and one brother, Lois Wayne McArthur.

NELLIE HENRY RHODES
1919-2006
HUNTINGDON: Nellie Henry Rhodes, 87, of Huntingdon died Wednesday, September 27 at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 30 at Chase Funeral Home in Huntingdon with Bro. Darrell Pollock officiating. Interment icon followed in Parker's Crossroads cemetery.
She was born January 20, 1919 to the late John E. Meggs and Amanda Bowman Meggs. She was a homemaker and a member of Popular Corner Pentecostal Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Mack Rhodes, three sisters, and four brothers.
Survivors include: one daughter, Frances Helen (Edgar) Carroll of McLemoresville; one son, Henry Galen (Rosa) Rhodes of Deland, FL; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

PATRICIA ANN AKINS
1943-2006
MCKENZIE: Patricia Ann Akins, 62, of McKenzie died Wednesday, September 27 at Milan General Hospital in Milan. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 30 at Trezevant Church of Christ in Trezevant with Bro. John Forgy officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove cemetery in Trezevant.
She was born November 29, 1943 in Bolivar to the late Oklahoma "Homer" Russell and Hesta Brandon Russell. She was a member of Trezevant Church of Christ and was a retired EMT for Gibson County. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Willie Brandon Russell, and four sisters, Pansy Anderson, Nell Marie Russell, Carolyn June Myracle, and Telitha Sue Rust.
Survivors include: her husband, Albert Harold Akins of Trezevant; two sons, Richard H. Akins and Keith Akins, both of Trezevant; two sisters, Nancy Hart of Paducah, KY and Sandra Cross of Westport; and two grandchildren, John Robert Akins and Jessica Ryan Akins.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MARY E. FRANKLIN BERRY
WADSWORTH, OH: Mary E. Franklin Berry, 86, of Wadsworth, OH died Monday, September 4. Funeral services were conducted at Wadsworth United Methodist Church in Wadsworth. Interment icon followed in Ohio Western Reserve National cemetery.
She was born in Lexington and reared in Bruceton, residing in Pittsburgh, PA her adult life and in Wadsworth the past five years. She served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II, was a retired film librarian and accomplished seamstress, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and Swissvale AARP. She was also an active member of the Swissvale United Methodist Church, where she served as Lay Leader. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 60 years, William D. Berry; her parents, John D. and Allie Franklin; and four brothers, Tommy, Johnnie, Belton, and Ben Franklin.
Survivors include: one daughter, Karen (Thomas) Babyak of Wadsworth; three special nieces; two grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Hilliard-Mullaney-Rospert Funeral Home in Wadsworth was in charge of arrangements.

WANDA SUE KEITH
1934-2006
BRUCETON: Wanda Sue Keith, 72, died Saturday, September 30, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, October 3, 2 p.m. in Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Woods officiating. Burial followed in Henry County Tabernacle cemetery.
Mrs. Keith was born February 18, 1934 in Finger to the late Edgar Bivins and Betty Plunk Bivins. She was a retired operator of Dave's Bar-B-Que and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. David M. Keith; one son, Billy Ray Keith; four sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include: three daughters, Jeanette Keith of Slidell, Louisiana, Betty Haskins of Hollow Rock and Barbara Hausbeck of Bruceton; two sons, David Glen Keith of Bruceton and Michael Wayne Keith of Hollow Rock; two sisters, Wilma Miller and Flossie Shirley; two brothers, Johnny Bivins and Richard Bivins; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

JOHN ED COLE
1970-2007
MCKENZIE: John Ed Cole, 37, died Tuesday, May 29, at his residence. Graveside services were Thursday, May 31, at 10 a.m. at Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cole was born April 24, 1970 in Paris to the late James Samuel and Pat Cole.
Survivors include: one sister, Tammy Cole of McKenzie.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
McKenzie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

CATHRYN OEDA JACKSON CRAWFORD
1918-2007
MCKENZIE: Cathryn Oeda Jackson Crawford, 89, died Tuesday, May 29, at her residence. Funeral services were Friday, June 1, at 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in McKenzie with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Crawford, a retired accountant, was born March 22, 1918 in Henry County to the late Charlie Jackson and Willie Crawford Jackson. She served as McKenzie city clerk for six years from 1976 until 1982. She was active in First Baptist Church, local PTA, and served as past president of Business and Professional Women's Club. She served for many years as a volunteer with Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. She was noted for her chocolate turtles sold annually at the Carroll North American Cancer Society Bake Auction.
Survivors include: two sons, Larry D. (Sandra Deck) Crawford of Paris and Jerome J. (Diana Morris) Crawford of McKenzie; three grandchildren, Kim (Sam) Cox, David Crawford and Jessica Crawford; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Cox and Wesley Cox.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

EMMER L. BOND
MCKENZIE: Emmer L. Bond, 87, died Thursday, May 24, at Bells Nursing Home in Bells. Graveside services were Saturday, May 26, at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie with Rev. Larry Koonce officiating.
Ms. Bond was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II.
Survivors include a special niece, Margaret White, who cared for her.
Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

VERA MAY BOGLE
1925-2007
ATWOOD: Vera May Bogle, 82, died Sunday, May 27, at NHC Healthcare. Funeral services were Wednesday, May 30, at 2 p.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in Howse cemetery in Atwood.
Mrs. Bogle was born February 14, 1925 in Gibson County to the late Clarence Dodson and Jennie Jordan Dodson. She was a retired LPN. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. "Gene" Bogle.
Survivors include: one daughter, Teresa Bogle of Trenton; one son, Jackie (Lynn) Bogle of Trenton; one brother, Lynn Dodson of Milan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
