MARY KATHRYN HARGIS

HUNTINGDON: Mary Kathryn Hargis, 84, died Tuesday, May 29 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday, May 31 at Dilday Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Atwood officiating. Burial was at Dunlap cemetery in Marshall, Illinois.
Mrs. Harris was born May 13, 1923 in Vigo County, Indiana to the late Charlie and Lydia Garner Mason. She was a member of Eastview Baptist Church and a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Fred S. Hargis; an infant daughter, Joan Kay Hargis; four brothers, Woodrow Mason, Raymond (Shirley) Mason, Paul (Hilda) Mason, and Charles Mason; three sisters, Rebecca (Glen) Hargis, Cora (James) Nicoson, and Nell (Tom) Schillaci; two grandsons, and a great grandson.
Survivors include: one son, Roy A. (Diane) Hargis of Gardner, Illinois; two daughters, Mary L. (Chuck) Shear, and Barbara J. (Byford) Kehrer, both of Huntingdon; one brother, Jason (Phyllis) Mason of Terre Haute, Indiana; two sisters, Lenora (Gene) Figg of Terre Haute, Indiana and Jean (Lee) Roach of Marshall, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

KEENAN HORATIO COLLINS
1990-2007
MCKENZIE: Keenan H. Collins, 16, died Sunday, May 27. Funeral services were Thursday, May 31 at Dilday Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Copeland officiating. Burial followed in St. Paul cemetery.
Keenan, a Huntingdon High School student, was born August 18, 1990 in McKenzie. He was very active in sports and was an outstanding baseball player. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Fred Cunningham and Prentice McClerkin; and grandmother, Elsie Cunningham.
Survivors include: his mother, Sucatus Lynn (Leon) Long; his father, Aaron (Lina B.) McClerkin; stepfather, Charlie (Mary Jane) Collins, Jr.; two brothers, Terry Wayne Weathers, Jr. and Sherman Nolen; and paternal grandmother, Fannie Mai McClerkin.

SHEILA DENORA EASLEY
1956-2007
LEXINGTON: Mrs. Sheila Denora Easley, 50, died Sunday, May 27 at Henderson County Community Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday, May 31 at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Shields officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Easley was born September 1, 1956 to Mary Jo Hart and the late Hobert Wayne Browning. She was an active member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Senior Choir. She was a former employee of Swan Hose Company and Wal-Mart.
Survivors include: three sons, Kenya Easley and Karreem Easley, both of Lexington, and Brandon Easley of Clarksburg; her mother, Mary Jo Hart of Clarksburg; two sisters, Valerie (Tim) Parker of Lexington and Kim (Eddie) Burley of Wildersville; three brothers, Allen Williams, Daron Williams, and Shaffer (Melinda) Williams of Clarksburg; and four grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

NELL CHANDLER
1915-2007
MCLEMORESVILLE: Nell Chandler, 92 died Saturday, June 2, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services were Sunday, June 3, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home, Huntingdon with Bro. Kevin Gallimore officiating. Burial followed in Union Academy cemetery.
Miss Chandler was born February 15, 1915 in Carroll County to the late Elmo Chandler and Alta Vivian (Hall) Chandler. She was a retired supervisor for the Henry I. Siegel Company and a member of the McLemoresville Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert B. Chandler, John E. Chandler, and George H. Barker; and one nephew, Reichle B. Chandler.
Survivors include: one niece, Diane Carroll of McLemoresville; three nephews, Phil B. Chandler of Hendersonville, Randall H. Chandler of Germantown, and James C. Barker of Kathleen, Georgia and several great nieces and nephews.

HOYT EDWARD WILSON
1930-2007
HENRY: Hoyt Edward Wilson, 76, died Friday, June 1 at his residence. Services were Monday, June 4 in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal and Bro. Alan Trull officiating. Burial followed in Henry City cemetery.
Mr. Wilson was born September 24, 1930 in Almo, Kentucky to the late Henry Edgar and Ruth Elkins Wilson. He was a member of Henry Baptist Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge and former truck driver for Houston Trucking. He served four years in the United States Air Force, became a commercial pilot and a certified flight instructor. He was a retired line service technician for the Henry County Airport and a former police officer for the Murray Police Department. At the time of his death he still had his FFA certificate. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Stephen, Randy and Marty Wilson.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary (Smith) Wilson of Henry; two stepdaughters, Julie Seymore (Mark Showers) of Allegan, Michigan and Kimberly (Ron) Keele of Clarksville; two stepsons, Phillip Wallace (Jane Hazlett) of McKenzie and Jimmy (Monica) Wallace of Lafayette, Indiana; three grandchildren, 20 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

ROSE MARIE HORTON
1948-2007
McKENZIE: Rose Marie Horton, 59, died Wednesday, May 30 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services were Sunday, June 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Johnson Temple CME Church in Mckenzie.
Mrs. Horton was born March 6, 1948 in McKenzie to John D. and Flossie Mae Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Horton, Sr.
Survivors include: two daughters, Shenneeka Horton and Sherry Robinson, both of McKenzie; two sons, Tommy Horton of McKenzie and David (Maggie) Jones of Huntingdon; stepchildren, Gwen (Randy) Horton-Pride and Michelle Horton-Carey of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Michael Curry of McKenzie; James Horton, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia; Michael (Georgia) Horton of California; four brothers, Ozell (Beatrice) Jones of McKenzie, John (Mae) Jones, Jr. of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Doug (Loraine) Jones of Columbus, Georgia and Joe (Freda) Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Fairybell Gilbert; seven grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Trinity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

DENECIA ANTOINETTE "POCAHONTAS" PASCHALL
1955-2007
TREZEVANT: Denecia Antoinette "Pocahontas" Paschall died Wednesday, May 30 at her residence. No funeral is planned. Her remains were cremated.
Mrs. Paschall was born February 9, 1955 in Houston, Texas to Rudolph, Sr. and Faye Burkley. She was preceded in death by her mother and several siblings.
Survivors include: her husband, Joel Paschall of Paris; three daughters, La'Shica Busby and La'Shanette King, both of Trezevant, La'Shonda Williams of McKenzie; her father, Rudolph Burkley, Sr.; one brother, Michael Burkley of Denver, Colorado; and three grandchildren.
Trinity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

KENNETH LAMBUTH, SR.
1934-2008
HENRY: Kenneth Lambuth, Sr., 74, died Saturday, August 9, at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday, August 12, at 4 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Jones officiating.
Mr. Lambuth was born March 4, 1934 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late John Henry Lambuth and Dorothy Viola (McCord) Lambuth. He was a retired truck driver for United Van Lines, a Korean War Veteran, member of the McKenzie VFW and Henry Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Jane Lambuth.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Lambuth of Henry; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Lambuth of Henry; five sons, Kenneth Eugene Lambuth and Gerold Leroy Lambuth, both of Goshen, Indiana, Kenneth Lambuth, Jr. and Darrel Wayne Lambuth, both of Huntingdon, and Kevin Austin Lambuth of Henry; three sisters, Dorothy Weaver of Elk Hart, Indiana, Florence Johnson of Monticello, Indiana, and Norma Jean Lambuth of Florida; two brothers, John Henry Lambuth, Jr. of Interlock, Florida, and Raymond Lambuth of the Florida Keys; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

CATHY BLACK
1945-2008
HUNTINGDON: Cathy Black, 62, died Saturday, August 9, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services are Saturday, August 16, at 1 p.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Humbles cemetery.
Mrs. Black was born September 13, 1945 in New York City, New York to the late John Henry Black and Irene Theresa (Crowley) Black. She worked in the office for Henry I. Siegel Company and was Christian by belief. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Black II; and one brother, John James Maguire.
Survivors include: one son, Richard Black III of Kansas City, Kansas; three brothers, Tom "Big Nasty" Maguire and Richard Ross Maguire, both of Huntingdon, and Edward Kramer Maguire of Largo, Florida; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Smyrna Baptist Church on Saturday, August 16, from 12:30 p.m. until time of services.
Chest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

EDNA PRUETT CLARK
1930-2008
ATWOOD: Edna Pruett Clark, 78, died Monday, August 4, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Wednesday, August 6, at 11 a.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with Mark Howell and Lance Cordle officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah cemetery in Atwood.
Mrs. Clark was born April 25, 1930 in Henderson County to the late V. M. Pruett and Roxie McKee Pruett. She was retired from I.T.T. Telecommunications and a member of Atwood Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Pruett.
Survivors include: her husband, Alton Phillip Clark of Atwood; two daughters, Judy (Charles) McGregor of Atwood and Phyllis (Charlie) Chandler of McKenzie; one sister, Mary Powers of Dyersburg; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Atwood Church of Christ, Atwood.

ELIZABETH SURBER TOLER
1923-2008
MEMPHIS: Elizabeth Surber Toler, 84, died Monday, August 4, in her daughter's home after a long illness. Funeral services were Thursday, August 7, at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mrs. Toler was born September 3, 1923 in McKenzie to the late Mays Surber and Julia Carroll. She retired from Union Planters National Bank after 38 years of service where she worked in the Transit Department and later the Commodity Loan Services Department as Assistant Manager. She was an Avon representative and was a long-standing member of the President's Club for decades. She worked in the Bank of McKenzie prior to moving to Memphis in 1946 with her husband. She was a member of Stratford Road Baptist Church and later The Happy Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Earl Toler, former owner of Earl's Barber and Antique Shop.
Survivors include: two daughters, Judy Toler of Memphis and Betty Rosenblatt of Hickory Withe; and one grandson
The family requests that any memorials be sent to Baptist Trinity Hospice of Memphis.

LARON TRAVIS BROOKS
1975-2008
CEDAR GROVE: Laron Travis Brooks, 32, died Monday, August 4, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday, August 7, at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Osborne officiating. Burial followed in Hickory Flatt cemetery.
Mr. Brooks was born October 29, 1975 in Huntingdon. He was a photographer and a member of Lavinia Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cleta Wiles.
Survivors include: his parents, Donald Brooks of Maryville and Diann Brooks of Cedar Grove; two half-sisters, Cammie Floyd of Clarksburg and Annette Brooks of Maryville; his grandfather, Laron (Bonnie) Wiles of Cedar Grove; and his grandmother, Julie Brooks of Destin, Florida.

BARBARA NELL AUTRY
1925-2008
CLARKSBURG: Barbara Nell Autry, 82, died Wednesday, August 6, at Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were Friday, August 8, at 2 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Boyd and Bro. Clint Ezell officiating. Burial followed in Davis Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Autry was born October 5, 1925 in Carroll County to the late Oscar and Maude (Butler) Anderson. She was a retired employee of Publix Shirt Corporation and member of the County Line Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Autry; one son, Richard Autry; and one brother, Calvin Anderson.
Survivors include: two sons, Wayne (Rosann) Autry of Hollow Rock and Paul (Martha) Autry of Clarksburg; three daughters, Carol (Danny) Rhodes of Clarksburg, Sylvia (Richard) Hodge of Huntingdon, and Kim (Ronald) Hampton of Clarksburg; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
