ERA MAE ESPEY
1910-2006
HUNTINGDON: Era Mae Espey, 96, died Friday, September 29, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Sunday, October 1, 2 p.m. at Liberty All Methodist Church with Bro. Don Williams and Bro. Buddy Chandler officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Espey was born April 10, 1910 in Benton County to the late Tom and Emma Moore Allen. She was a member of the New Crossroads Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Espey; one son, Billy Espey; and one brother, Oneal Allen.
Survivors include: one daughter, Carolyn (Sammy) Holland of McLemoresville; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Espey of Huntingdon; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

FRANCES L. WEBB
1919-2006
MCKENZIE: Frances L. Webb, 86, died Tuesday, July 18, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Funeral services were Friday, July 21, 10 a.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Webb, a homemaker, was born October 17, 1919 to the late O.V. Martin and Bertie Grissom Martin. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Webb, and two sons, Robert Webb and Jerry Brent Webb.
Survivors include: one daughter, Janice (Richard) Harrington of Smyrna; grandchildren including Cathy Swenson and Christine Anderson; and five great-grandchildren including Brandon Swenson.

JAMES AARON FUCHS
1948-2006
HUNTINGDON: James Aaron Fuchs, 57, of Huntingdon died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at his home. Funeral services were Friday, July 21, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Huntingdon with Bro. Fred Ward officiating. Burial followed in the Gibson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fuchs was born July 21, 1948 in Milan. He was a Modern Woodman of America District Representative and Manager and a member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. He was preceded in death by his father, James Rudolph Fuchs.
Survivors include: his wife, Karen Fuchs; his mother, Flossie Marie Wheeler Fuchs of Milan; six daughters, Becky (Mike) Adams of Camdenton, Michigan, Laura (Joe) Glasgow of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, Kim (Casey) Westenrieder of Duncanville, Texas, Heather (Brian) Dieckmeyer of Henderson, Tessa (Stephen) Neely of Huntingdon, and Patricia Fuchs of California; one stepdaughter, Kara (Dan) Williams and one stepson, Shane Spears, both of Huntingdon; and seventeen grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

JANICE CARLENE NELSON
1942-2006
CAMDEN: Janice Carlene Nelson, 64, of Camden died Friday, July 14, 2006 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16 at Oakdale Funeral Home with Bro. David Prince officiating. Burial followed in Ramble Creek cemetery.
Nelson was born on June 9, 1942 in Benton County. She was a licensed funeral director and administrative manager at Oakdale Funeral Home for 13 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carlyle Stagner and her mother-in-law, Marie Nelson.
Survivors include: her husband, Bobby Nelson; daughter Jeanna (Don) Bush of Huntingdon; mother Lillian Stagner of Camden; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and father-in-law H.W. (Daisy) Nelson of Camden.
Oakdale Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

DETRIS DAVON WILLIS
1989-2006
HUNTINGDON: Detris Davon Willis, 17, of Huntingdon died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Camden General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home in Huntingdon with Bro. Steve Freddrick officiating. Interment icon followed in Humbles cemetery.
Willis was born January 19, 1989 in Huntingdon. He was a student at Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School, where he was a starting football player. His hobbies included playing PlayStation II with family and friends, swimming, basketball, and more.
He was preceded in death by: sister Vallery Ann Anderson; grandfather Homer Willis; step-grandfather J.D. Blankenship; aunt Lorrie Nell Willis Hampton; and uncle Joe Willis.
Survivors include: parents Ernest (Amanda) Willis and Loretta Anderson; foster parents Dennis and Tasha Jordan; social worker Patti Taylor; brothers Patrick Willis of Oxford, MS, Orey Willis of Bruceton, Derrick Willis and Daniel Willis, both of McKenzie, and Ashton Willis; sisters Ernicka Willis and Ashley Willis, both of Huntingdon; foster brothers Chad Jordan and Chandler Jordan, both of Huntingdon; foster sister Phenique Posey of Huntingdon; paternal grandmother Mary Louise Willis Blankenship of Huntingdon; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other relatives.

LOLA MAE VANCLEAVE
1921-2006
PARIS: Lola Mae VanCleave, 85, of Paris died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 22 at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris.
She was born July 14, 1921 in Ashland, KY to the late Frank Ross and Nan Montgomery Ross.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Lucian VanCleave; son James "Pat" Walters; brothers Eugene and Glen Ross; and sisters Helen Talbot and Margaret Brooks.
Survivors include: nieces Shirley Alisa of Oak Park, MI and Judy (John) Davis of Dover; great-nieces Derrinda (Randy) Thomas and Lesa Foust, both of McKenzie, and Dana (John) Chango of Clarksville.
Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris was in charge of arrangements.

A.C. GILL
1935-2006
MCKENZIE - A.C. Gill, 70, of McKenzie died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at McKenzie Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Monday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Obion River District Association in McKenzie with Rev. Eddie L. Burnett officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
He was born July 26, 1935 in Jackson to the late Nathaniel Gill and Lizzie Mae Morgan Gill.
Survivors include: wife Hester Milton Gill of McKenzie; children Charles (Debra) Walker, Sr., Robbie Curry, Daphne Gill, Denise Hudson, and Alfred Charles Gill, Jr., all of Humboldt; sister Rillae Mae Burnett of Humboldt; half-sister Faye Ballard of Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Trinity Funeral Home in Paris was in charge of arrangements.

ROGER WILLIAM ROUTON
1921-2009
HENRY: Roger William Routon, 87, died Monday, January 5, at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas in Nashville. Funeral services were Thursday, January 8, at 1 p.m. at Henry Church of Christ with Roger Graham and Rex Buford officiating. Burial followed in Bevil cemetery with military rites.
Mr. Routon was born November 15, 1921 in Routon to the late Everett William Routon and Nona Bucy Routon. He entered the U.S. Army in 1942 serving during WW II serving 18 months in Alaska working on the Alaska Highway. He was a former grocery store owner and operator at Routon, farmer in the Routon Community, substitute rural mail carrier, former member of the Henry County Court, past Chairman of the Henry County Nursing Home and served on the Budget Committee. He was a retired school bus driver for Henry County Board of Education and member of Henry Church of Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Frances Hill Routon.
Survivors include: three daughters, Carolyn (Carey) Goodman of Henry, Marilyn Routon Baker of Memphis and Angie Routon Cooper of Paris; one brother, John B. (Lavesta) Routon of Milan; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Bevil cemetery Roger Routon Road Fund, c/o Lucille Claxton, 300 Paris Harbor Drive, Paris, TN 38242.

JAMES E. HICKERSON
1915-2009
MCKENZIE: James E. Hickerson, 93, died Saturday, January 10, at Paris Manor Healthcare and Rehab Center. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 13, at 11 a.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Bob Hull officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens near McKenzie.
Mr. Hickerson was born October 22, 1915 in the Hico Community to the late Benjamin Hickerson and Nova Barksdale Hickerson. He was a retired manager for McLean Lumber Company. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Hickerson; and one sister, Emily Hickerson.
Survivors include: one daughter, Judy (Bill) Davis of Naples, Florida; two sisters, Virginia Gillenwater of Chattanooga and Evelyn King of Benton, Kentucky; and one grandson, Eric Davis of Felton, California.

CHESTER "CHUCK: PAUL DEVAUL
1925-2009
HUNTINGDON: Chester "Chuck" Paul DeVaul, 83, formerly of Bezetta, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 6, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. DeVaul was born January 25, 1925 to the late Fred DeVaul and Sophia Mitan DeVaul. He was a World War II Army Veteran, retired from Republic Steel Company as a carpenter, and moved from Ohio to Carroll County in 1982. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Harry DeVaul and James Allen DeVaul; and one sister, Shirley DeVaul.
Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Jackie DeVaul; one daughter, Cathie (Charlie) McFarland of Huntingdon; two sons, Don DeVaul and Rod DeVaul, both of Westport; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

JESSIE MAURINE HAMILTON
1927-2009
GLEASON: Jessie Maurine Hamilton, 81, died Tuesday, January 6, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon. Funeral services were Friday, January 9, at 2 p.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Roberts officiating. Burial followed in New Valley cemetery.
Mrs. Hamilton, a homemaker, was born August 5, 1927 in Lexington to the late Robert L. and Ora (Pitts) Darby. She was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Hamilton.
Survivors include: one son, Johnny (Joyce) Hamilton of McKenzie; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

MALEIGHA ALYNN JAMISON
INFANT
HUNTINGDON: Maleigha Alynn Jamison, infant daughter of Zachary Lamon Jamison and Chelsea Joyce Fowler, died Wednesday, January 7, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Graveside services were Friday, January 9, at 11 a.m. at Humbles cemetery.
Survivors include: her parents; one brother, Dontavious Lamon Fowler; maternal grandparents, Charlotte Haynes and Tony Haynes, both of Clarksburg; paternal grandparents, Sharon and Marvin Gordon of Huntingdon and great-grandmother, Brenda Webb of Illinois.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
