MIKE KING

HUNTINGDON - Mike King, 59, died Sunday, July 20, at his home. Graveside funeral services are Wednesday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at Carroll Memorial Gardens with Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating.
Mr. King was born April 9, 1949 in Jackson to the late Nevil and Beulah (Rink) Smothers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie King; and one brother, James D. King.
Survivors include: one son, Kevin (Alissa) King of Huntingdon; one stepson, Tracy Warman of McKenzie; one sister, Carolyn Camper of Lexington; one brother, Wayne King of Lexington; two half-sisters, Connie Tate and Teresa Jordan, both of Jackson; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

DENNIS "D-RAY" RAY NOLES
1956-2006
HUNTINGDON - Dennis "D-Ray" Ray Noles, 49, of Huntingdon died Monday, July 17, 2006 at his residence. Memorial services were held on Wednesday, July 19 at Dilday Funeral Home in Huntingdon.
He was born August 15, 1956 in Escondido, CA to the late William and Mytrie Boyd Noles. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War, and was a machinist for Fitzpatrick.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter Jessica Noles; and brother Robert Noles.
Survivors include: wife Frankie Noles of Huntingdon; sons Josh Noles and Malek Cannon of Huntingdon; daughter Jennifer Chesser Noles of Huntingdon; sister Judi (Mike) Murphy of Huntingdon; and three grandchildren.

MARY LOUISE STIGALL MARSH
1919-2006
GLEASON - Mary Louise Stigall Marsh, 87, died Sunday, July 23, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services were Tuesday, July 25, 11 a.m. in Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Carr officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell cemetery in Gleason.
Mrs. Marsh, a retired seamstress with Kellwood, was born March 23, 1919 to the late Frank Upchurch and Effie Miller Upchurch. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gleason. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arvel Stigall and Junior Marsh; one son, Wilburn Stigall; two brothers, Willie B. Upchurch and Louis Upchurch; and three sisters, Eva D. Stafford, Jessie Lee Akerson and Edna Cook.
Survivors include: one son, Billy Stigall of McKenzie; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

EDITH B. WIMBERLEY
1914-2006
McKENZIE - Edith B. Wimberley, 91, of McKenzie died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at McKenzie Health Care Center in McKenzie. Funeral services were held Monday, July 24 at McKenzie Church of Christ with Terry Joe Kee officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
She was born September 23, 1914 in Newbern, TN to the late Joe Bridges and Ada Huffstetler. She worked as a clerk at W.T. Woolworth Store and attended McKenzie Church of Christ.
Survivors include: son Joe K. Oliver of Tucson, AZ; step-son Ben Wimberley of Los Angeles, CA; daughter Glenna Sue Calderone of Phoenix, AZ; and nephews Harold Kee and Billy Joe Kee, both of McKenzie. Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield was in charge of arrangements.

CLYDE CLEVELAND BALL
1941-2006
GREENFIELD - Clyde Cleveland Ball, 64, of Greenfield died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Schmidt and Bro. John Martin officiating. Interment icon will follow in Marlowe cemetery in Fruitvale, TN. Visitation is scheduled for after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 25 and from 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, July 26 in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home.
Ball was born November 27, 1941 in Virginia to the late Cleveland Clyde Ball and Violet Louise (Comer) Ball. He was a retired certified nurse anesthetist, loved hunting, fishing, and golfing, and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include: wife Trannie Woodson Ball; daughters Ashley (John) Martin of Frankfort, KY and Jacquelyn D. Locker of Columbia; sons Clyde Nelson (Lori) Ball of Portland, OR, Paul E. Blenis of Texas, and John R. Blenis of Trezevant; sister July (Lester) Pelley of Pennsylvania; brothers Roger Ball of Maryland and Ernest (Gaye) Ball of North Carolina; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

ANGELA CAROL HOWINGTON
1966-2006
GLEASON - Angela Carol Howington, 39, of Gleason died Saturday, September 30 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 3 at Sandhill Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Griffin officiating. Burial followed in Sandhill Baptist Church cemetery. She was born October 19, 1966 in Martin. She was a daycare provider and a member of Gleason First Baptist Church. Survivors include: her parents, Donnie and Peggy Turner of Gleason and Burnis and Patsy Hodges of Dresden; her husband, Mike Howington; two sons, Jacob Howington and Jordan Howington, both of Gleason; one daughter, Jacqulin Howington of Gleason; two step-daughters, Lacey Howington of Nashville and Sheena Hazelwood of Humboldt; one brother, Keith Turner of Nashville; one grandchild; and six step-grandchildren. Gallimore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

HERSHEL MARK MERWIN
1956-2006
McKENZIE - Hershel Mark Merwin, 49, died Sunday, October 1, at the Henry County Medical Center in Paris after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 3, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Henry with Bro. Douglas Nash, Bro. Dennis Beal and Bro. Jimmy Allison officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Merwin was born October 13, 1956 in Covington. He was a graduate of Henry County High School and Union University with a Master's degree from the Memphis State University. He was formerly a District Director for the Human Services of Shelby County, an ordained minister, served as a music and youth director at Prospect Baptist Church in Hollow Rock, was pastor for Pleasant Site Baptist Church in Selmer, and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Henry.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jennifer Cooper (Patrick) of Fort Payne, Alabama; Jennifer's mother, Leigh Ann Merwin of Memphis; his father and mother, Paul "Bud" Merwin and Gwen "Tillie" Merwin of McKenzie; and one brother, Jerome Merwin (Debbie) of Lee's Summit, Missouri.

CARL ANTHONY TOWNES
1962-2006
McKENZIE - Carl Anthony Townes, 44, died September 29 after a car accident. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 5, 2 p.m. at Greater Enon Baptist Church with Bro. James Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Townes was born March 3, 1962 in McKenzie to Marshalene Fuqua Townes and the late U.L. Townes. He was a member of the Greater Enon Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Townes; his mother; two sons, Shannon Townes and Eric Gilbert, both of McKenzie; three stepchildren, Marcus Sneed of McKenzie, Landis Sneed of Paris, Texas and Michelle Sneed of Huntingdon; two sisters, Anita Newbill and Carol Townes, both of McKenzie; three brothers, Ewell Townes of Forrest City, Arkansas, Jessie Townes and Jimmy Townes, both of McKenzie; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12 to 2.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

REBECCA LOUISE PATE
1919-2006
McKENZIE - Rebecca Louise Pate, age 87, of McKenzie died Sunday, October 1, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, October 3, 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home, McKenzie. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery, McKenzie. Reverend Tony Janner officiated.
Mrs. Pate was born July 4, 1919 in Gleason to the late J.E. Castleman and Carrie Baldridge Castleman. She was retired from Sears and the Office on Aging and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, McKenzie. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Jane Pate; her parents; five brothers, Jack Stallcup, Howard Castleman, Curtis Castleman, J. Ned Castleman, Jerry Castleman; two sisters, Edna Scyster and Geneva Waller.
Survivors include: two sons, Byron (Sandra) Pate of McKenzie and Mike (Shirley) Pate of Barlett; three grandchildren, Doug Pate and Debbie Pate Medlock of McKenzie, and Carrie Gilmore of Virginia Beach.

DANNY (J-BOB) JOHNSON
1963-2006
McKENZIE - Danny (J-Bob) John son, age 43, of McKenzie died Friday, September 29 as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Greater Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie. Rev. James Stewart will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Mercer Brothers Funeral Home, 501 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Jackson. On Saturday, the body will lie in state at Greater Enon Church in McKenzie from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
He was the son of Ester Johnson of McKenzie and the late Joe Willie Johnson.
He was a member of Greater Enon Baptist Church.
Other than his mother, he is survived by his companion, Carol Townes; four sisters, Larleen Thomas, Gail (James) Diggs, both of McKenzie, Sandra (William) Jordan of Huntingdon and Judy Iturmedi (Luis) of Marrietta, Georgia; three brothers, Bobby Johnson, Lonnie Johnson, both of McKenzie, Gene (Joanne) Johnson of Bryan, Texas; one half-brother, Roy (Stephine)Curtis of Sommerville, Texas.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joellen Kees.

SIDDIE ELLENE GURLEY
1927-2006
YUMA - Mrs. Siddie Ellene Gurley, 78, died Tuesday, October 3, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Stewart and Bro. Tim Maness officiating. Burial will follow in the New Liberty cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 8:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
Mrs. Gurley was born October 4, 1927 in Carroll County to the late Charlie B. Kirby and Donnie (Douglas) Kirby. She was a retired teletype operator for the Sears Corporation and a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Kirby.
Survivors include: her husband of 62 years, Marshall H. Gurley; one daughter, Sandra K. Castleberry of Oak Ridge; two sons, Nickey L. Gurley of Cordova and Thomas H. Gurley of Memphis; one sister, Willie Rene Blackwell of Williston, Tennessee; one brother, H. G. "Pete" Kirby of Yuma; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

LORRAINE FRANKLIN STANDRIDGE
1954-2009
BRUCETON - Lorraine Franklin Standridge, 54, died Saturday, March 7, at her home. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 10, at Bruceton Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Oatsvall and Bro. Bobby Jordan officiating. Burial followed in Sandy Point cemetery.
Mrs. Standridge was born August 29, 1954 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to the late Leonard Franklin and Mandy Elizabeth Colley Franklin. She was a nurse's aide in nursing homes and attended Open Door Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Standridge; two brothers, Don Franklin and Verbon Franklin; and one sister, Doris Baker.
Survivors include: two sons, Matthew Standridge and Chad Standridge, both of Bruceton; four sisters, Juanita Stevens, Donie Brooks, Jan Myers and Ruby Heatley, all of Bruceton; and a very special Granny Heatley.

TIMOTHY LATIMER
1958-2009
JACKSON - Timothy Latimer, 50, died Monday, March 2, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday, March 5, at 10 a.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jackson with Rev. Terry Hunley officiating. Burial followed in Latimer cemetery in Waverly.
Mr. Latimer was born September 1, 1958. He was a graduate of Bethel College and the Cecil C. Humphrey's School of Law in Memphis. He was in practice with Utley & Latimer, P.C. for 25 years. He served on the Bethel College Board of Trustees. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Latimer; and one brother, Ronnie Latimer.
Survivors include: his wife, Dewana Latimer of Jackson; one son, Nicholas Latimer of Jackson; one daughter, Megan Latimer of Jackson; and two sisters, Linda Smith of McKenzie and Theresa Rinaldo of Waverly.
George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
