HUNTINGDON - Mark Dale Bradfield, 45, died Friday, March 9, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were Sunday, March 11, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Burton officiating. Burial followed in Davis Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Bradfield was born November 27, 1961 in Carroll County. Before he became disabled he was a forklift operator for the Kehr Plastic Company and was a member of the Faith in Christ Ministries Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Odell Washington Bradfield.
Survivors include: his mother, Annie Marie (Robinson) Bradfield of Huntingdon; one daughter, April Bradfield of McKenzie; one son, Kerry Hurt of Bruceton; three brothers, Steve (Brenda) Dickson of Bruceton, Mike (Barbara) Dickson of Memphis, and David (Cathi) Capley of Tucson, Arizona; and three grandchildren.

DORRIS ELIZABETH EDWARDS
1930-2007
HOLLOW ROCK - Dorris Elizabeth Edwards, 76, died Thursday March 8, at Portage Memorial Hospital in Portage, Indiana. Funeral services were Saturday, March 10, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Hollingsworth and Pastor Alton Vinson officiating. Burial followed in Hebron cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards was born June 18, 1930 in Madison County to the late Clarency Clyde Edwards and Nora Elizabeth (Hill) Edwards. She was a retired pressing operator for the Henry I. Siegel Company and a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Hollow Rock. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Edwards, and one grandson, Jonathan Edwards.
Survivors include: two sons, Jim (Kelly) Edwards of Portage, Indiana, and Dudley (Diann) Edwards of Huntingdon; one daughter, Marie (Frank) Beckham of Bruceton; one step-daughter, Wanda (Jerry) Turrentine of Huntingdon; one sister, Bernice; two brothers, Sonny and Gene; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

JESSE LEE "BUDDY" SMITH
1943-2007
McKENZIE - Jesse Lee "Buddy" Smith, 63, died Thursday, March 8. Funeral services were Monday, March 12, 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home, McKenzie with burial at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Smith, owner of an advertising agency, was born June 3, 1943 in Trezevant. He was a member of the 82nd airborne paratrooper. He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Smith.
Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Pinson Smith of McKenzie; his mother, Dell Smith Willis of Spring Hill, Florida; two daughters, Deanna (Tom) Cotton of McKenzie and Andrea (Tracy) Davis of Dyersburg; one son, Brad (Beverly) Smith of Kokomo, Indiana; one brother, Johnny (Judy) Smith of Gallatin; one sister, Kay Markunas of Clearwater, Florida; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

JOE BEN IRBY
1915-2007
McKENZIE - Joe Ben Irby, 91, of Memphis died Wednesday, March 7, at St. Frances Hospital in Bartlett. Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie. No visitation is scheduled.
He was born November 11, 1915. He was a retired professor at Memphis Theological Seminary and a Cumberland Presbyterian minister. He was an authority on the history of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had written numerous books on the subject. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Patterson Irby.
Survivors include: one son, David (Wende) Irby of Memphis; one sister, Elizabeth (Libby) Aden of Mt. Vernon, Texas; one brother, Paul Irby of Winnsboro, Texas; and four grandchildren.

RALPH ERNEST THORNE, SR.
1914-2007
BRUCETON - Ralph Ernest Thorne, Sr., 92, died Friday, March 9, at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were Sunday, March 11, at 3 p.m. at Bruceton First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Woods officiating. Burial followed in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Thorne was born September 29, 1914 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Albert C. and Mable Harrell Thorne. He was a member of Gideons International, former member of Bruceton Lions Club and past president of Tennessee Telephone Association. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Grooms.
Survivors include: his wife of 69 years, Evelyn Thorne of Bruceton; five daughters, Ruth Ann (Philip_ Dame of Chaffee, Missouir, Kay (Roy) Huddleston of Springdale, Arkansas, Joyce Wood of Memphis, Linda Rose of Bartlett, and Ida (Joel) Edwards of Bruceton; four sons, Ernest (Barbara) Thorne of Bruceton, Wayne Thorne of Mineral Wells, Texas, John (Lisa) Thorne of Memphis, and Ken (Lori) Thorne of Milan; one sister, Theresa Murray of Memphis; one brother, Thorwald Thorne of North Little Rock, Arkansas; 30 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

JULIA KATHRYN FORREST
1935-2007
ALLGOOD, TENNESSEE - Julia Kathryn Forrest, 72, formerly of Bruceton, died Wednesday, March 7, at her home. Funeral services were Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Ted Gentle officiating. Burial followed in Ebenezer cemetery in Hustburg, Tennessee.
Mrs. Forrest was born March 5, 1935 in Gibson County to the late Boyd Lee and "Tillie" Etna Azbell Edwards. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Roger Forrest.
Survivors include: one daughter, Patsy Ann Holland of Allgood, Tennessee; one son, Roger Forrest of Mobile, Alabama; five sisters, Dolly Edwards, Linda Hillard and Loretta Bomar, all of Bruceton, Polly Edwards of Crossville and Lucy Edwards of Paris; four brothers, Howard Edwards of Cave-in-the-Rock, Illinois, Kenneth Edwards of Camden, Charles Edwards and Jackie Edwards, both of Hollow Rock; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

ARTHUR SPARKS, SR.
1919-2007
MARTIN: Arthur L. Sparks, Sr., 87, died Sunday, March 4, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services were Wednesday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Martin Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mace Jett officiating. Burial followed in Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Sparks was born December 16, 1919 in McKenzie to the late Lonnie Thomas and Ethel (Cody) Sparks. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Bethel College and his master's degree from George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired professor of mathematics at the University of Tennessee at Martin and was a member of American Legion Post 69 in Martin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rev. George W. Sparks.
Survivors include: his wife, Nelle (Cody) Sparks; one daughter, Cynthia (Michael) Jarrett of Birmingham, Alabama; one sister, Margaret Mebane of McKenzie; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one great-grandson and one step-grandchild.
Murphy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

CARL MOORE PARHAM, JR.
1959-2007
HENDERSONVILLE - Carl Moore Parham, Jr., 48, died Tuesday, March 6, at his home. Funeral services were Friday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel in Gleason with Paul Winchester officiating. Burial followed in Travis Chapel cemetery in Dresden.
Mr. Parham, a contractor, was born February 26, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his mother, Reba Dell Winchester Parham.
Survivors include: his father, Carl Moore Parham, Sr.; two sons, Jimmy Parham and Carl Parham, both of Hendersonville; one daughter, Jennifer Parham of Hendersonville; one brother, Matt Parham of McKenzie; three sisters, Laura Parham of Gleason, Kim Parham of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Rhonda Tucker of McKenzie; and one grandchild.

JAMES OWEN BROTHERTON
1935-2007
BRUCETON - James Owen Brotherton, 71, died Sunday, March 11, at Huntingdon Health and Rehab in Huntingdon. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 13, at 3 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Abbott officiating. Burial followed in Mixie cemetery.
Mr. Brotherton was born June 3, 1935 in Madison County to the late Walter and Alberta Finch Brotherton. He was a forklift operator for Emerson Electric and an Army veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Wanda Nutting Brotherton of Bruceton; three daughters, Sherry (Johnny) Pardue of Hollow Rock, Wanda (Randy) Butler of Westport, and Caroline (Tim) Baker of Huntingdon; five sons, James (Jennifer) Brotherton of Camden, Thomas (Angela) Rogers and Bobby (Janna) Brotherton, both of Hollow Rock, Tony (Denise) Brotherton of Bruceton and Mike Brotherton of Huntingdon; one sister, Mary Frances Salierno of Twin Falls, Idaho; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

ALLEAN CLARK
1934-2007
HUNTINGDON - Allean Clark, 72, died Friday, March 9, at her home. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 15, at 1 p.m. at Clark Street Baptist Church with burial in Humbles cemetery.
Mrs. Clark, a homemaker, was born April 11, 1934 in Carroll County to the late Lucian and Alvernia Williamson Williams. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurlis Clark.
Survivors include: one sister, Irene Moore of Huntingdon.
Dilday Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

GEORGE MCCORMICK II
ATWOOD - George Daniel McCormick, II, 35, died Saturday, March 10, at Milan General Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in Pisgah cemetery.
Mr. McCormick was a truck driver for Milan Express and a member of Atwood Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his wife, Vicki Boane McCormick; his parents, Dan and Brenda McCormick of Atwood; one son, Derick Bynum of Atwood; one daughter, Kayce McCormick of Atwood; his grandmother, Ramelle Todd of Atwood; and two sisters, Marian (Terry) Herndon and Margaret (Shawn) Moran, both of Atwood.
Memorials may be sent to the Atwood Church of Christ Building Fund, P.O. Box 515, Atwood, TN 38220.

MARJORIE A. HOLT
1934-2007
URBANA - Marjorie A. Holt, 72, died Sunday, March 4, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Graveside services will be at Palmer Shelter cemetery in Huntingdon at a later date.
Mrs. Holt was born August 10, 1934 in Urbana to the late Daisy and Harold Stateler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Holt.
Survivors include: two sons, Jimmie Holt of Urbana and John Holt of Byhalia, Mississippi; two daughters, Brenda Pembor of Urbana and Betsy Davis of Olive Branch, Mississippi; one sister, Ruth Stanley of San Antonio, Florida; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Dilday Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JAMES ROBERT "BOB" EDWARDS
1913-2008
HENRY - James Robert "Bob" Edwards, 95, died Saturday, July 5, at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services were Monday, July 7, at 3 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Graham and Bro. John Dale officiating. Burial followed in Palestine cemetery.
Mr. Edwards was born May 2, 1913 in Henry County to the late Guy M. Edwards and Nancy Phelps Edwards. He was a WW II Army veteran, a retired farmer and member of the Henry Church of Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Montie Mae Dinkins, Mary Faye Lankford and Mildred Dale; and seven brothers, Roy, Ray, Ralph, Guy L., John, Charles and David Edwards.
Survivors include: his wife, Jimmie Sue Robertson Edwards; and a number of nieces and nephews.
