DOUG BELL

HOLLOW ROCK - Doug Bell, 46, died Thursday, January 17, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, January 19, at 11 a.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Bryant officiating. Burial followed in Robertson cemetery near Tennessee City.
Mr. Bell was born February 17, 1961 in Dickson to the late Charles Henry Bell, Jr. and Mary Frances Phillips Bell.
Survivors include: five sisters, Janice Reynolds and Diane Forrest, both of Hollow Rock, Peggy Taylor and Patsy Agy, both of Greenville, and Denice Doss of Waverly; and three brothers, Paul Bell of Dickson, Earl Bell of Tiptonville and Wayne Potter of Alton.

BROOKSIE PENDERGRASS MCDANIEL
1928-2008
CLARKSBURG - Brooksie Pendergrass McDaniel, 79, died Saturday, January 19, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Joint funeral services for her and her brother, James Adron Pendergrass, were Monday, January 21, at 2 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Halter, Bro. Andrew Stokes and Bro. Marshall Gurley officiating. Burial followed in Clarksburg cemetery.
Mrs. McDaniel was born January 23, 1928 to the late Jessie L. Pendergrass and Florence E. (Douglas) Pendergrass. She was a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church, a homemaker and gardener. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nita Lovell; and her brother, who passed away on the same day, James Adron Pendergrass.
Survivors include: her husband of 58 years, Tom McDaniel; one son, Jerry (Fay) McDaniel of Clarksburg; one daughter, Donna McDaniel of Smyrna; two sisters, Willie Mae (James) Scott and Joyce (Tommy) Altom, both of Clarksburg; and one brother, Cecil A. (Eunice) Pendergrass of Cedar Grove; and three grandchildren.

JAMES ADRON PENDERGRASS
1922-2008
CLARKSBURG - James Adron Pendergrass, 85, died Saturday, January 19, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Monday, January 21, at 2 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Halter and Bro. Marshall Gurley officiating. Burial followed in Clarksburg cemetery.
Mr. Pendergrass was born July 12, 1922 to the late Jessie L. Pendergrass and Florence Eron (Douglas) Pendergrass. He was a merchant and farmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nita Lovell and Brooksie McDaniel, who passed away on the same day.
Survivors include: one brother, Cecil A. (Eunice) Pendergrass of Cedar Grove; and two sisters, Willie Mae (James) Scott and Joyce (Tommy) Altom, both of Clarksburg.

LARUE ANN BEAM
1942-2008
GLEASON - Larue Ann Beam, 65, died Monday, January 7, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Graveside services were Friday, January 11, at 2 p.m. at Hopewell cemetery with Rev. Gene Price officiating.
Mrs. Beam, a retired nurse, was born September 26, 1942 in Apollo, Pennsylvania to the late Paul Curtis and Violet Burnett (Wilson) Shirey. She was a member of Tumbling Creek Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Beam.
Survivors include: her husband, John Leroy Fulton Beam, Jr.; three sons, Damian Beam of Gleason and David Shirey of Dundee, Illinois; four daughters, Gretchen Arneson of Gleason, Robin Ogtrum of Elgin, Illinois, Amanda Shirey and Jennifer Shirey, both of Pennsylvania; one sister, Gladys Shellhammer of Murfreesboro, Georgia; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

PAULINE GILLIAM
YUMA - Pauline Gilliam, 86, died Sunday, January 20, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 22, at Reed's Chapel in Lexington with Bro. Howell Gossett officiating. Burial followed in Beech River cemetery.
Mrs. William was the daughter of the late John and Bertie (Duke) Wooley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Gilliam; three brothers, John L., Ray and Aubrey Wooley; and one sister, Ruby Moore.
Survivors include: one daughter, Frances Barker of McKenzie; two sisters, Sarah Watson of Lexington and Mary Spencer of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Jessie Wooley of Eads and Roy Wooley of Lexington; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

THOMAS RANDALL WALLS
1955-2008
LAVINIA - Thomas Randall Walls, 52, died Friday, January 18, at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 22, at 11 a.m. at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with Rev. Robert Barger and Rev. George McMinn officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell cemetery in Lavinia.
Mr. Walls was born November 23, 1955 in Gibson County. He was a retired employee of D&L Corporation. He was a Baptist and attended Hopewell Baptist Church in Lavinia. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Walls; two brothers, Ricky Walls and Mark Anthony Walls; and one sister, Lisa Carol Walls.
Survivors include: his mother, Betty Jean Walls of Lavinia; three sons, Randy Michael Walls, Scott Randall Walls and Anthony Glenn Walls, all of Lavinia; one half-brother, Doug Walters of Humboldt; two sisters, Pamela Williams of Atwood and Kimberly Mayberry of Trezevant; and three grandchildren.

LOUELLEN PORTER
1921-2008
HENRY - Louellen Porter, 86, died Saturday, January 12, at Henry County Healthcare Center. Funeral services were Thursday, January 17, at 2 p.m. at Walton Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Darrell Albea officiating. Burial followed in Caylon Springs cemetery.
Ms. Porter was born March 24, 1921 in Henry to the late Hommer and Emma Porter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lena Puckett; and one brother, Charlie Porter.
Survivors include: nieces and nephews.
Rawls Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

HAROLD PERRY, SR.
1926-2008
HENRY - Harold Perry, Sr., 81, died Saturday, January 19, at Regional Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services were Monday, January 21, at 2 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bobby Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris.
Mr. Campbell was born October 8, 1926 in Henry to the late Henry Smith "H.S." Perry and Iva Pearl Tucker Perry. He was a member and deacon at Central Point Baptist Church, retired after many years at Holley Carburetor Plant and helped on the family hog farm. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Morris Perry; one brother, Butler Perry; and two sisters.
Survivors include: one son, Henry H. "Hal" (Maureen) Perry, Jr. of Henry; one sister, Ruth Fridenstine of Murfreesboro; and four grandchildren.

GLENN D. SCOTT
1912-2008
HENRY - Glenn D. Scott, 95, died Friday, January 18, at Henry County Healthcare Center. Funeral services were Sunday, January 20, at 3 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Roger Graham and Rex Buford officiating. Burial followed in Henry City cemetery in Henry.
Mr. Scott was born August 27, 1912 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to the late Thomas Jasper Scott and Aussie Blount Scott. He was a member and former song leader at Henry Church of Christ, served in the CCC, retired after 30 years at Holley Carburetor Plant where he worked as a mechanic, pipefitter and welder. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Maurine Alexander Scott; one stepson, Connie Greer; four sisters, Blanche and Bernice Harmon, Eunice Easley and Josephine Walker; and one brother, Raymond Scott.
Survivors include: his wife, Estelle McClain Greer Scott of Henry; two sons, Bob Scott of Franklin and Bill (Linda) Scott of Kingston; one stepdaughter, Judy Ridgway of Martin; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

PATTY L. ROBISON
1933-2008
CEDAR GROVE - Patty Lou Robison, 74, died Saturday, January 19, at Jackson Madison General Hospital. Funeral services were Monday, January 21, at 2 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Payne officiating. Burial followed in New Independence cemetery.
Mrs. Robison was born September 29, 1933 to the late Ed and Mary L. Latham Bullington. She was a member of Christ Community Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Robison; and one sister, Wanda Lynn Kee.
Survivors include: three daughters, Vicki (Danny) Miller of McKenzie, Kay Robison (Ricky Privett) of Cedar Grove and Brenda (Stevie) Towater of Cedar Grove; one son, Michael Robison of Cedar Grove; two brothers, Everett (Bea) Bullington of Cedar Grove and Darrell (Monika) Bullington of Germany; one sister, Norma (Robert) Martin of Cedar Grove; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

HENRY OTIS NUNLEY, SR.
1943-2008
HUNTINGDON - Henry O. Nunley, Sr., 64, died Thursday, January 17, at his home. Funeral services were Saturday, January 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with burial in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Nunley was born April 28, 1943 in Carroll County to the late Henry A. and Virginia Thompson Nunley. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Nunley; one daughter, Tina Nunley; and one brother, Thomas Nunley.
Survivors include: his life long companion, Anne Flowers; one son, Henry O. Nunley, Jr. of Huntingdon; one daughter, Peggy Jo Hillard of Huntingdon; two brothers, Jackie Nunley and Marty Nunley; one sister, Billie Pearson; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

GEORGE J. SIBLEY, JR.
1936-2008
HORNBEAK - George J. Sibley Jr., 71, died Friday, January 18, at his home. Memorial services are Friday, January 25, at 11 a.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Father John Pecoraro officiating.
Mr. Sibley was born December 27, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George J. Sibley, Sr. and Marie (Conrad) Sibley. He was a retired maintenance worker for Weber Core.
Survivors include: one brother, Robert Sibley of Glendale, Illinois; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie (George) Bucy of Atwood.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

VIRGIE LEE PIERCE
1926-2008
WEATHERFORD, TEXAS - Virgie Lee Pierce, 81, formerly of Huntingdon, died Thursday, January 17, at Weatherford Health Care. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 22, at 11 a.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Dr. Matthew Tomlin officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Pierce was born November 19, 1926 in Carroll County to the late Homer Carroll and Roxie (Smothers) Carroll. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Adrian Carroll, Billy Carroll, Avery Carroll, and Gordon Carroll.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kathy (David) Wills of Weatherford, Texas; one sister, Venita (Joe) Laws of Huntingdon; one brother, Ralph Carroll of Cedar Grove; and one granddaughter.

REV. ALVANDON "JACK" TAYLOR
1921-2008
McKENZIE - Rev. Alvandon "Jack" Taylor, 86, died Thursday, January 17, at his home. Funeral services are Thursday, January 24, 1 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church in Puryear with Rev. Leroy Brent officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove cemetery.
Rev. Taylor was born July 5, 1921 in Tipton County to the late Noah L. Taylor and Anna Pearl Reynolds Bell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Strayhorn Taylor; his stepfather, Judge Bell; four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include: one son, Rev. Calvin (Jewelean) Taylor of McKenzie; two brothers, Thomas (Artensia) Taylor of Chicago, Illinois and Noah L. (Sarah) Taylor of Clarksville; one sister, Florence (Harold) Connor of Martin; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church in McKenzie and Thursday from noon until time of service at Union Grove Baptist Church in Puryear.
Rawls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
