Mary F. Bush
FORT WAYNE, INDIANA: Mary F. Bush, 81, died Monday, October 17, at University Park Nursing Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Graveside services were held October 21 at Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Bush was a retired beautician and a member of Southwinds Church of Christ and Ladies Associates of Camp Indogan Christian Youth Camp.
She is survived by one son, Eddie Glenn Bush of Royal Oak, Michigan; three daughters: Katherine Dimarzio of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Marie Clary of Springfield, Illinois; and Mary Pfeifer of Fargo, North Dakota; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie G. Bush.
Memorials may be sent to Camp Indogan Christian Youth Camp, P.O. Box 1028,
Angola, IN 46703-8673 or visiting nurse service hospice of N.E. Indiana, 5910 Homestead Road Fort Wayne 46814.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ruth Louise Spears
1918-2005
DRESDEN - Ruth Louise Spears, 87, died Saturday, October 15, at Weakley County Nursing Home. Services were conducted October 17 at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wendell Jellison officiating. Burial followed in Liberty cemetery.
Mrs. Spears was a homemaker and a member of Greenfield Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by two sons, Sonny Spears of Gleason and Jerry Spears of Bolivar; two daughters, Naomi Damesworth and Jeannie McDonald, both of Gleason; one brother, Glynn Cherry of Joelton, Tenn.; three sisters: Nell Stiles of Cherry Valley, California, Ann Hayes of Woodlawn, Tenn., and Ester Baggett of Slayton, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cecil Spears; one son, Paul Spears; and one daughter, Faye Tucker.
Gallimore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Janice Carol Pryor
1948-2005
McKENZIE - Janice Carol Pryor, 56, died Wednesday, October 12, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services will be October 22 at noon in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Bro. Tim Coleman will officiate the service.
Mrs. Pryor was born October 24, 1948, in Gibson County, to the late James Bryant Nelson and Emma Lorlene (Evans) Nelson. She was a homemaker and a member of Concord Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Pryor; one daughter, Lisa (Andy) Prost of Biloxi, Mississippi; one son, Roy H. Wilhite Jr. of McKenzie; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Erin Celeste Jones
LAVINIA - Eric Celeste Jones, 12, died Saturday, October 15, in Milan. Funeral services were held Monday, October 17, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in Trezevant cemetery in Trezevant.
Erin was a student at Milan Middle School and a member of the Student Government Association.
She is survived by her parents, Ricky Porter Jones and Stephanie Bateman Jones of Lavinia; one brother, Matt Jones of Lavinia; maternal grandparents Clyde and Peggy Bateman of Trezevant; paternal grandparents Mack and Evelyn Jones of Cedar Grove; maternal great-grandfather, Ray Baker of Trezevant; and paternal great-grandparents, Walter Jones of Cedar Grove and Ruby Jones of Lexington.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Bodkin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Edward Lee
1926-2005
PARIS - Services for Charles Edward Lee, 78, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris on Wednesday, February 23, with Dwight Turner officiating. Interment icon will follow in Shiloh cemetery in McKenzie. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 22, from 4:00-8:00 p.m and on Wednesday after 11:00 a.m.
Mr. Lee, a mechanic and former car salesman, died on Monday, February 21, in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born September 30, 1926, to the late Barney Ray Lee and Clara Opal Shell Lee. He was preceded by a stepson, Ricky Laster, two sisters, Christine Sanders and Shirley Ann Gaskins, and a brother, Willie Ray Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Marie Ward Lee; one son, Charles David 'Blue' Lee; two daughters, Joanie Moody of Henry and Linda Hicks of McKenzie; one stepson, Danny Lester of McKenzie; one stepdaughter, Gail Sutterlund of Memphis; three sisters, Dorothy Harper and Deloris Edwards, both of Henry, and Robbie Jean French of Paris; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Debra Ann Pruitt
1956-2004
HUNTINGDON - Memorial services for Debra Ann Pruitt, 48, were conducted on Tuesday, February 22, at 4:00 p.m., in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Hollingsworth officiating.
Ms. Pruitt, a homemaker, died Saturday, February 19, at her home.
She was born November 18, 1956, in Gary, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her mother, Luzetta Loveless Pruitt; one brother, Terry Pruitt; and a granddaughter, Etta Grace Miller.
Survivors include two daughters, Brandy Boyd Slaybaugh of Knoxville and Heather Boyd Miller of Louisville, Kentucky; her father, James E. Pruitt of Paris; one sister, Cindy Doles of Huntingdon; two brothers, Larry Pruitt and Jamie Pruitt, both of Jackson; one grandson; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

KENNETH WILDON OLIVER
1937-2007
TREZEVANT - Kenneth Wildon Oliver, 69, of Trezevant died February 16 at Milan General Hospital. Services were held February 19 at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with Rev. Malcolm Norton officiating. Interment icon followed in the Pleasant Hill cemetery in Lexington.
Mr. Oliver was born November 2, 1937 to the late William Carthel and Jettie Bob Sadler Oliver in Gibson County. He was retired from ITT.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Oliver, and one stepson, Henry Harold Butler. He leaves his son, Dale Oliver of Trezevant; two stepsons, Randy Butler of Trezevant and Steve Butler of Shelbyville; two stepdaughters, Teresa Butler of Trezevant and Vickie Moss of Champagne Illinois; two grandsons and six step-grandchildren.

OSCAR LEROY GILBERT
1928-2007
McKENZIE - Oscar Leroy Gilbert, 78, died February 15 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Services were held February 19 at Johnson Temple C.M.E. Church with burial following in Greenwood cemetery in Paris.
He was born December 14, 1928 to the late Elmore and Ida Gilbert and was married to Fairy Bell Gilbert.
Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jennie and Laura Mae Gilbert, Josephine Dobbins, Georgia Adkisson; and brothers, Charlie Boy and Fred Gilbert.
He is survived by his wife, Fairy Bell; children, Fairy Simmons, Mary Sue Gill, Roger Lee Gilbert, Cleve Alec Gilbert, Ricky Gilbert, Geneva Carter, Donna Lisa Gilbert; nine grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

CLETA ODESSA WILES
1932-2007
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Cleta Odessa Wiles, 74, died Saturday, February 17, at her home. She was born June 15, 1932 to the late Forrest Sibley Sutton and Thelma Ola (Moran) Sutton in Livingston County, Texas.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 20, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment icon will follow in the Hickory Flat cemetery. Bro. Bryan Oaks officiated the service.
She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Oscar Alan Sutton.
Survivors include: her husband of 52 years, Laron Ross Wiles, Sr.; four daughters, Robbie Sutton (John) of Huntingdon, Alice Powell (Nathan) of Lake Chamber, Louisiana, Diane Brooks of Cedar Grove, Shelby Sanders (Doug) of Huntingdon; two sons, Roger Thompson (Teri) of Blue Goose, Laron Wiles, Jr. (Jody) of Huntingdon; five sisters, Thelma Smith of Trezevant, Ruby Faye, Kathine Bell, Mary Garrison, and Sarah White; two brothers, Forrest Sutton (wife Rosa), Aubry Sutton all of Texas, one sister-in-law Reba Wood. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

LOTTIE OTERO TURNER
1916 - 2007
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Lottie Otero Turner, age 90, died Wednesday, February 14, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. She was born May 26, 1916 in Carroll County to the late Levander Gertrude Dickerson and Flossie Bethel (Neeley) Dickerson.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, February 18, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in the Bethlehem cemetery. Bro. Sonny Daniels officiated the service.
She was a retired production worker for the Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by one son, Roger Dale Turner; three brothers, Cletus Dickerson, Hercule Dickerson, and Bennie Dickerson.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Russell Turner, one daughter, Edith Davis of Jackson, one son, Gene Turner (wife Evelyn) of Huntingdon, and two sisters, Mildred Pafford of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Kathleen Kee of Hollow Rock. She also leaves seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

MARY I. LAYCOOK
1928-2007
HUNTINGDON - Miss Mary I. Laycook, 78, died Sunday, February 18, at the Harmony Hill Assisted Living.
Funeral services were conducted February 20 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in the Palmer Shelter cemetery. Bro. Wayne Holmes officiated the service.
Miss Laycook was born November 24, 1928 in Carroll County to the late Alonzo Edward Laycook and Effie (Boyd) Laycook. She was a retired housekeeper for the Carroll County General Hospital and a member of the Palmer Shelter United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Virgil Laycook and James Edward Laycook.
She is survived by two nephews, Pat Laycook of Martin and Jim Laycook of Millington, two great nieces, Rachael Laycook and Brenda Laycook.

ELMER NATHAN BRANDON
1915-2007
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Elmer Nathan Brandon, 91, died Saturday, February 17 at the Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services were conducted February 20 at the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in the Sellers Hill cemetery. Brother Bill Crossno officiated the services.
Mr. Brandon was born December 13, 1915 in Carroll County to the late Henry Milton and Telitha Johnson Brandon. He was a director of Henry County Health Department and an employee of the State of Tennessee with over 46 years of service, for which he received recognition from Gov. McWherter. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Brandon graduated from Clarksburg High School and UT Martin, where he was a member of the baseball team. He was also past president of the Paris Rotary Club and a member for over 30 years. He owned and maintained the Brandon Family Farm adjacent to Clarksburg, which has been in his family since 1835.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Art) Mulwitz of Springfield, a son, Michael (Joyce) Johns Brandon of Hendersonville, his wife, Marcile Tucker Brandon of Paris and a sister, Brooksie Orr of Huntingdon. He also leaves five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
