Donald Hugh Malugen
1919-2004
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Donald Hugh "Don" Malugen, 84, passed away Friday, February 13 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 15 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James L. Bailey officiating. Interment icon followed in the McAuley cemetery.
Mr. Malugen was born June 9, 1919 in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late John Thomas and Ethel Gilbert Malugen. He was a farmer for most of his life. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Wretha Buckingham, Opal Morris and Myra Rice and one grandson, William Thomas Malugen.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Opal Bailey Malugen; one daughter, Janie Dee Hampton of Huntingdon; two sons, Thomas Malugen of Huntingdon and Robert Wayne Malugen of Buena Vista; one sister, Gladys Peacock of Huntingdon; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Virginia Nell Haddock McGough
1926-2004
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Virginia Nell Haddock McGough, 77, died on Thursday, February 12 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Mullikin and Brother Lynn Stapleton officiating.
Mrs. McGough was born June 15, 1926 in Carroll County to the late Leon and Ethel Wilson Haddock. She was a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Gaines Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McGough; two brothers, Leroy Haddock, and Charles Donald Haddock.
Survivors include one brother, Claude Haddock of Huntingdon; six nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Marshall Tucker Mayo
1979-2004
MILAN - Mr. Marshall Tucker Mayo, 25, died Sunday, February 15 at Milan General Hospital. His body was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Mayo was born January 12, 1979 in Union City. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his mother and father, Donna Marie P. Mayo and William Hollis Mayo of McKenzie; paternal grandfather, Elbert Mayo of McKenzie; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Dorothy Martin of New Lisborn, Wisconsin and John and Ida Pokorny of Schiller Park, Illinois.
The family requests in lieu of flowers to please make donations to the Marshall Tucker Mayo Trust at McKenzie Banking Company in McKenzie.

James Thomas "J.T." Taylor
1946-2004
HUNTINGDON - Mr. James Thomas "J.T." Taylor, 57, passed away on Sunday, February 15 at the Plumley Rehabilitation Center in Paris after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 18 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Crayton officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Humbles cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was born November 29, 1946 in Carroll County. He was a furniture maker for Gaines Manufacturing and attended Hale High School in Carroll County. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam J. Taylor and one nephew.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Chestine Boyland Taylor; two daughters, Anita Taylor of Huntingdon, Cynthia Tharpe of Paris; one son, James Thomas Taylor, Jr. of South Fulton; his mother, Mamie Weathers Donald of Huntingdon; four sisters, Mae Helen Hart and Dorothy Louise Phelps, both of Lexington and Rose Jeanette Johnson and Dean Taylor, both of Huntingdon; three brothers, L.T. Taylor of Jackson and Charles Taylor and Jimmie Lee Taylor, both of Huntingdon; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled on Tuesday, February 17 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A reception will follow the interment icon at the FirstBank Activity Building in Huntingdon which will open to receive food at 11:00 a.m.

Doris Maureen Needham
1923-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Doris Maureen Needham, 80, were at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 15 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Needham died on Friday, February 13 at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt.
She was born July 13, 1923 in McKenzie to the late Bertie Grissom Martin and Ophia Martin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKenzie.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Adams of Humboldt; a sister Frances Webb of Nashville; and one grandchild, Katie Adams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Needham and a son John Needham.

Lewis Willard Park
1913-2003
BRUCETON - Services for Lewis Willard Park, 90, were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 13 at Bruceton First Baptist Church with the Reverends Noel Edward, James Daniel and John Brown officiating. Burial was in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Park, retired owner/manager of Bruceton Market, died Wednesday, February 11 at Life Care Center in Bruceton.
He was born July 23, 1913 in Carroll County to the late Thomas Bunyon Park and Lana Paralee Robinson Park. He was a member of the Bruceton First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and Sunday school director.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Cavender of Bruceton and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Lee Pickler Park and two brothers, Loyce Park and T.B. Park.

Lennie L. Robbins
1912-2004
GLEASON - Retired Henry I. Siegel employee Lennie Lavada Robbins, 91, died on Monday, February 9 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12 at Gallimore Funeral Home in Gleason with the Rev. Keith Sumner officiating. Burial was in Memorial cemetery in Paris.
Born April 12, 1912 in Big Sandy, she was the daughter of the late Lon and Elizabeth Odom Martin. She was also the widow of Alton Byron Robbins.
Mrs. Robbins was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gleason.
Survivors include two sons, Bennie Robbins of Gleason and Freddie Robbins of Taylor, Michigan; one daughter, Martha Edwards of Steger, Illinois; a brother, Wilburn Martin of Paris; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry E. and Lilburn Martin and a sister, Lavina Ficken.

Henry Buren Scates
1910-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Henry Buren Scates, 93, were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 13 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Vance Rushing officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Scates, retired carpenter, died on Wednesday, February 11 at his home.
He was born November 21, 1910 in Gleason to the late Luna Malone Scates and Walter Scates.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Scates Blackburn of McKenzie, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Lou Wiseman Scates.

Patsy Ann Tabor
1949-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Patsy Ann Tabor, 54, were at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 13 at Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Father Fisher officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Tabor died on Wednesday, February 11 at her home.
She was born September 13, 1949 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late Woodie Marie Bearden and Jesse Lee Pressley. She was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Lee Tabor, Jr., Thomas Ray Tabor, John Warren Tabor and Ronald Andrew Tabor, all of McKenzie; a sister, Shirley Marie Johnson of Big Sandy; a brother, Jerry Thomas Pressley of Big Sandy and five grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Tabor, Sr.

Kathy June Torres
1953-2004
GLEASON - Kathy June Torres, 50, died Monday, February 9 at NHC Nursing Home in Milan. Her body was cremated. Gallimore Funeral Home in Gleason was in charge of the arrangements.
She was a healthcare sitter.
Survivors include two sons, Santiago Torres of Miami, Florida and K.C. Torres of Lansing, Michigan; her mother, Doris Tucker (Richard) Jones; her father, James Leonard (Pat) Bolton of Gleason; six sisters, Sherry Ott of Lansing, Michigan, Tonja Owens of Brownsville, Paula Green of Charlotte, Michigan, Jackie Mingle of Gleason, Wanda Queen of Lansing, Michigan and Kimberly Bourne of Brownsville.

Eugene Robert Nick
1934-2004
PARIS - Services for Eugene Robert Nick, 69, were held Tuesday, February 17 at 11:00 a.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. James Trull of the Church of Jesus Chris in Gleason officiating. Interment icon followed in Memorial cemetery.
Mr. Nick, a security guard for Kesterson Foods, died Saturday, February 14 at Henry County Medical Center.
He was born May 26, 1934 in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin to the late Joseph Nick and Angeline Guvont Koski. He served three years in the U.S. Marine Corps, worked nine years with the U.S. Postal Service and served as a member of the Chicago Police Department until 1991. He moved to Paris 13 years ago and worked five yeas as a security guard for Kesterson Foods.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Collins Nick; one daughter, Cari Nick of Chicago; one son, Mark Nick of Chicago; two stepdaughters, Angela Brown and Candice Papaleo, both of Paris; one son, Danny Hearod of McKenzie; one grandchild; eight step-grandchildren and eight great-step-grandchildren.

Robena Harrison
1911-2004
TREZEVANT - Services for Robena Harrison, 92, will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of services.
Mrs. Harrison died on Thursday, February 12 at the Oak Manor Nursing Home in McKenzie.
Survivors include her daughter, Hallie Harrison of Chicago, Illinois.
Rawls Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
