Mary Emaline McCaslin
1921-2005
GREENFIELD - Mary Emaline McCaslin, 84, died Tuesday, August 23, at McKenzie Health Care Center. Services were conducted August 25 in Williams Funeral Home chapel with burial in Davidson Chapel cemetery. The service was officiated by Bro. Jerry Crouse of Dyer and Bro. Gene Rollins of Bradford.
Mrs. McCaslin was born February 26, 1921, to the late John Knox and Ethel Bell.
She was a factory worker and attended the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Davis of McKenzie, Rose Brummitt of Bartlett and Kay Allen of Huntingdon; one son, Donnie McCaslin of Trenton; one sister, Elsie Harrison of Bradford; one brother, David Knox of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Etho McCaslin and her brother, J.C. Knox.

Tommy Marcum
1929-2005
McKENZIE - Tommy Marcum, 76, died Saturday, September 3, at his home. He was born July 27, 1929 in Wallins Creek, Kentucky.
Services were conducted Tuesday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with burial in Bethlehem cemetery in Henry.
Mr. Marcum was a retired electrician from TVA, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and the VFW, and a World War II and Korean War Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Ison Marcum; three sons, Jeffrey Devon Marcum of Henry, Thomas Michael Marcum of Puryear, and Robert Ray Marcum of Nashville; two daughters, Cindy Yvonne Miller and Judy Inez Vivian Bell, both of McKenzie; one brother, Bobby Ray Marcum of Laramie, Wyoming; one sister, Vivian G. Moll of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Archie and Salome Sargent Marcum; one son, James Gregory Marcum; one brother, Eugene Marcum; and one sister, Inez Howell.

Rosalee Matlock
1916-2005
McKENZIE - Rosalee Matlock, 89, died Friday, September 2, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Services were held Monday, September 5, at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Jim Roberts officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Matlock was born April 20, 1916, in Hickman, Kentucky, to the late Wylie F. Matlock and Lizzie Langley White.
She was a homemaker and a member of the McKenzie Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons: Bill Matlock of Trezevant, Dwayne W. Matlock of McKenzie, and Jerry D. Matlock of Dresden; three daughters, Fay Hartzler and Janice Bartholomew, both of McKenzie, and Dorothy S. Horton of Huntingdon; one brother, Autis Langley of McKenzie; two half-brothers, John White of McKenzie and Bill White of Enoch, Mississippi; one sister, Dorothy Sutton of Chattanooga; 28 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Langley.

Bobby Lynn Pace
1942-2005
BUENA VISTA - Bobby Lynn Pace, 63, died Friday, September 2, at his home.
Services were conducted Monday, September 5, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial was in the McAuley cemetery in Buena Vista.
Mr. Pace was born May 29, 1942, in Carroll County, to the late Clifford Pace and Lucy Virginia (McMillian) Pace. He was a stockholder at Barnett's Grocery.
Survivors include three daughters: Sherry Coleman of Huntingdon and Gail Hardin and Barbara Pace of Camden; two sisters, Loretta (William) Chandler of Hollow Rock and Nica (Troy) Hutchens of McKenzie; one brother, Billy Joe Pace of Hollow Rock; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Wallace Jordan McMackin
1929-2005
HOLLOW ROCK - Wallace Jordan McMackin, 75, died Saturday, September 3, at Life Care Center of Bruceton.
Services were conducted Monday, September 5, at Bruceton Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Burial was in Marlboro cemetery near Vale.
Mr. McMackin was born October 12, 1929, in Hollow Rock, to the late Everett Lee McMackin and Sally Adaline Jordan McMackin. He was a Baptist and a Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Faye McMackin of Hollow Rock; one son, Tim (Gail) McMackin of Huntingdon; two sisters, Martha Birdwell of Hollow Rock and Mary Evelyn Puckett of Dickson; and one brother, Bill McMackin.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul E. McMackin, and a granddaughter, Tonya Nicole McMackin.

Leon Chapman
McKENZIE - Leon Chapman, 80, died early Tuesday morning, September 6, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Services were incomplete at press time. Brummitt Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Opal Lee Kirk
CEDAR GROVE - Services for Mrs. Opal Lee Kirk, 84, were held Sunday, September 4, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with burial in Spain cemetery.
Mrs. Kirk died Saturday, September 3, at Jackson General Hospital. She was retired from the Brown Shoe Company.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha (Charles) Blankenship of Cedar Grove, Patsy Massey of Jackson, and Judy (Larry) Robinson of Lavinia; one brother, Fielder Fortner of Cedar Grove; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

Dale Seay
1931-2005
CEDAR GROVE - Dale Seay, 73, died Wednesday, August 31, at Milan General Hospital.
Services were conducted Saturday, September 3, in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with burial in the Gibson County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Seay was born December 14, 1931, in Bemis, to the late Milton Andrew and Lessie Hampton Baxter. She was the retired owner of Joe's BBQ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Seay.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Seay of Cedar Grove; three sisters, Evelyn Smith of Brownsville, Cindy Rushing of Cookeville, and Bessie Demski of Durand, Michigan; a brother, Jim Weeks of Decatur, Alabama; and one grandson.

Fred S. Hargis
1915-2005
HUNTINGDON - Fred S. Hargis, 90, died Wednesday, August 31, at the Lakeside Retirement Community.
Services were conducted Friday, September 2, at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Services were also conducted Monday, September 5, in Illinois at 2 p.m., with burial in the Dunlap cemetery in Marshall, Illinois.
Mr. Hargis was born May 11, 1915, in Edgar County, Illinois, to the late Joseph Hargis and Bonnie Waller Hargis Goucher. He was a machinist for Caterpillar Tractor, an Army World War II veteran and a member of the Eastview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joan Kay Hargis, two infant grandsons, Frederic M. Shear and Frederic A. Hargis; an infant great-grandson, Jacob E. Brewer; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Weaver and Mrs. Juanita Wernz; four brothers, Elbia Hargis, Glenn Hargis, Roy Hargis and Joseph Hargis; two half-brothers, Harry Hargis and James Hargis in infancy; three half-sisters, Nila Hargis, Connie Phillips and Violet Caruthers, and infant twin siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Mary K. (Mason) Hargis; a son, Ray A. Hargis of Gardner, Illinois; two daughters, Mary L. Shear and Barbara J. Kehrer, both of Huntingdon; a brother, Robert Hargis of Marshall, Illinois; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Clyde Jordan Goldsberry
1915-2005
BRUCETON - Clyde Jordan Goldsberry, 90, died Sunday, September 4, at his residence. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, at Bruceton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Gentle officiating. Burial will be in old Hollow Rock Primitive Baptist Church in Bruceton with military honors.
Mr. Goldsberg, a retired employee of Barbara Green Co. in Aurora, Illinois, was born March 27, 1915 in Memphis, Missouri, to the late Edward Ellis Goldsberry and Margaret Madeline Rowmann Goldsberry. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of VFW Post 1970 in Nashville and Camden Elks Lodge and a life member of Disabled American Veterans Tennessee Chapter 13.
Survivors include two sisters, Vallice Margaret Foot of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Virginia Carol Delue of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Jackson Goldsberry.

Seth Harrell Perritt
1926-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Seth Harrell Perritt, 77, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Jake Hawkins officiating. Burial was in Chapel Hill cemetery.
Mr. Perritt, retired lineman for Carroll County Electric Department, died on Thursday, March 18 at his residence.
He was born December 19, 1926 in Carroll County to the late Bonnie Edwards Perritt and Walter Perritt.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Scott Perritt; a daughter, Sandra Jean Flores of McKenzie; a sister, Brooxie Pinson of Huntingdon; six grandchildren, Jim Hawkins, Jake Hawkins, Justin Hawkins, Jeffrey Hawkins, Curt Perritt, and Becky Johnson and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Perritt and Stanley Ray Perritt; three brothers, Manuel Perritt, Max Perritt and Walter Perritt and a sister, Ruth Abernathy.

Maxie L. Presson
1916-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Maxie L. Presson, 87, were at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 21 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Clayton Owen officiating. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Presson, retired LPN, died Saturday, March 20 at Oak Manor Health Care Center in McKenzie.
She was born August 18, 1916 in Henry to the late Viola Sneed Akers Presson and Lee A. Presson.
Survivors include a son, Robert Presson of Nashville; two daughters, Betty Sexton of White House and Judy Smith of Kingston Springs; a special daughter, Nevelin Akers of Nashville; five grandchildren, Tricia Presson, Angela Sexton-Dickerson, Samantha Milender, Brian Smith and Michael Smith; four great-grandchildren, Austin Smith, Conner Dickerson, Logan Milender and Kelsey Dickerson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Presson and two sons, Kenneth Wayne Presson and Lavon Presson.
