Donna Wilson
1947-2004
PARIS - Former Emerson Electric employee and Henry County beautician Donna Kay Owen Burnett Wilson, 56, died Wednesday, March 17 at Camden General Hospital after suffering a stroke.
Graveside services were held Friday, March 19 at Olive Branch cemetery near Cottage Grove with Thomas Winchester of Union Friendship Baptist Church officiating.
Born in Henry County on December 9, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Colene Kennedy Owen. She was a graduate of Grove High School
Survivors include one son, Stacey Burnett of Gleason; one brother, Ronnie Owen of Hardin, Kentucky and two grandchildren.

Dr. Joe Dudley Bell
1920-2004
Dr. Joe Dudley Bell, 83, formerly of Gleason and Memphis passed away on Saturday, March 20 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A private burial service was held on Tuesday, March 23 at Hopewell Home in Gleason with retired Rev. Benny Hopper officiating.
Dr. Bell was born October 30, 1920 in Gleason to the late Thomas Earl Bell and Ruth McGee Bell. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Memphis and was a retired professor emeritus from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He was a United States army veteran and a decorated pilot during World War II. He was a POW at Stalag Luft III in Germany for three years and an original participant in what has become known as 'The Great Escape.'
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Emma Louise 'CC' Jeter Bell; a son, Dr. Peter A. Bell of Memphis; a daughter, Betty Bell McWherter of Jackson; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorials be made to the donor's choice.
Gallimore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas 'Buck' Gateley
1949-2004
HUMBOLDT: Services for Thomas 'Buck' Gateley, 54, will be on Wednesday, March 24 at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Liberty All cemetery in Huntingdon.
Mr. Gateley, an employee of the Humboldt Police Department, died on Sunday, March 21 at his residence.
He was born in Lexington to the late Irene Swafford Gateley and Hershel Gateley.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Brandon Gateley; two sons, Charles Moon of Humboldt and Billy Gateley of Bradford; two sisters, Betty Hormell of Cedar Grove and Margie Schmidt of Tennessee Ridge and one grandchild.

Joyce Ann Clark
1943-2004
ATWOOD - Joyce Ann Clark, 60, died at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 20 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. John Wade Bryant officiating. Interment icon will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Clark was born on April 28, 1943 in Atwood to the late Russell Gilliam and Pearline Elam Gilliam. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Billy Clark; one daughter, Lisa Clark and one son, Jeff Clark, both of Atwood; one brother, Kenneth Smith of Humboldt and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Atwood on Wednesday, March 24.

Gordon Lee Baker
1922-2004
CEDAR GROVE - Mr. Gordon Lee Baker, 82, died on Sunday, April 18 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Columbus and Brother Doug Sellers officiating. Interment icon followed in the Christian Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Baker was born January 9, 1922 to the late Joe B. and Nora Susan Whitaker Baker. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church and Huntingdon Masonic Lodge. He was a retired security guard for Milan Army Ammunition Plant and a United States army veteran, having served in World War II He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Baker and Joe D. Baker and six sisters, Ivy D. Baker, Christine Baker, Bonnie Wilkes, Gladys Moore, Willie Mae Loggains and Bobbie Lois Biggart.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leota Kee Baker, a son, Harold Baker of Huntingdon; five daughters, Jane Campbell and Brenda Walker of Huntingdon, Patty Davis of McKenzie, Gail Turner of Hollow Rock and Penny Allen of Cedar Grove; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. www.dilday.com

Mary Butler Carter
1914-2004
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Mary Butler Carter, 90, died on Wednesday, April 21 at the Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dossie F. Wheatley and Dr. Paul Mullikin officiating. Interment icon followed in Liberty All cemetery.
Mrs. Carter was born February 28, 1914 in Huntingdon to the late Walter Sidney and Mable Giles Butler. He was a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church and a retired clerk for H.L. Carter & Sons. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Butler, Harry Butler, Walter S. Butler, Jr., and Roy Butler and two sisters, Martha Sue Coleman and Eleanor Butler.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Mr. John David Carter; two sons, Joe Morris Carter of Frisco, Texas and Johnny Carter of Germantown; one sister, Lucy Hines of Huntingdon and four grandchildren.

CAMDEN - Miss Nellie Evans, 83, died Tuesday, April 20 at the Camden General Hospital. Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, April 21 at Bethlehem cemetery with Brother Scott Carter officiating.
Miss Evans was born November 26, 1920 in Carroll County to the late Ed and Edna Thompson Evans.
Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Opal Carter of Huntingdon and several cousins.

Madoline G. Sanders

HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Madoline G. Sanders, 74, died on Friday, April 23 at Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Republican Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Interment icon followed in Republican Grove cemetery in Trezevant.
Mrs. Sanders was born May 29, 1929 in Carroll County to the late Wrenie and Lillie Vancleave Smith. She was a sewing machine operator at Publix Shirt and a member of the Republican Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Warren Sanders of Huntingdon; one daughter, Andrea Nienhuis of Kansas; three sons, Steve Dill and Phillip Sanders of Huntingdon and Terry Anders of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Anna F. Pace

BRUCETON - Mrs. Anna F. Pace, 64, died on Thursday, April 22 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lloyd Rich and Brother Joe Scott officiating. Interment icon followed at New Hope cemetery in Yuma.
Mrs. Pace was born May 7, 1939 in Carroll County to the late Oscar Danie and Edith Marie Haywood Frazee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bruceton. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Alton Lane.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Pace; two sisters, Betty Melton of Huntingdon and Sue Murray of Hendersonville; two brothers, James Frazee of Bruceton and Kenneth Frazee of Hollow Rock. www.dilday.com

Jackie Eugene Reynolds
1945-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Jackie Eugene Reynolds, 58, were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 25 at Brummitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Evans officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds, a truck driver for TDOT in Dresden, died on Friday, April 23 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born October 14, 1945 in McKenzie to the late Ethel Cooper Reynolds and Robert Reynolds.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Quertermous of Henderson; two brothers, Carol Reynolds of Fairfield, Illinois and Bobby Gene Reynolds of Morganfield, Kentucky; and three sisters, Brenda Kay Evans of McKenzie, Lucille Kolwyck of Huntingdon and Patricia Harmon of McKenzie.

Hilda Elizabeth Fry
1907-2004
CEDAR GROVE - Mrs. Hilda Elizabeth Fry, 96, passed away on Friday, April 23 at the Milan General Hospital in Milan. Graveside services were conducted on Sunday, April 25 at 3:00 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church cemetery with Bro. Robert Barger officiating.
Mrs. Fry was born September 30, 1907 in Carroll County to the late John and Etta Diggs Bramley. She was a retired storekeeper at Fry's Grocery and a member of the Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, E.W. Fry who died in 1969 and one niece.
Survivors include two nieces, Frankie Manner of Milan and Joyce Gould of Oxnard California and one nephew, Jamie 'Big Boy' Fry of Milan.

William Harold Maynard
1917-2004
HUNTINGDON - Mr. William Harold Maynard, 87, passed away Monday, April 19 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Vine, Bro. Steve Marlin and Bro. Randy Lainhart officiating. Interment icon followed in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Maynard was born March 7, 1917 in Delbarton, West Virginia to the late Harrison and Emma Curry Maynard. He was a retired superintendent for the Arco Refinery Company and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Camden. He was also preceded in death by one stepson, Donald Howard Justice.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Joe Maynard; two daughters, Carol Augustine of Huntingdon and Billie Sue Slusher of Hopewell, Virginia; three sons, Bob Maynard of Mt. Prospect Illinois, Carl Maynard of Decatur, Alabama, and Jack Maynard of Chicago, Illinois; two stepdaughters, Cathy Shaw of Lancaster, Ohio and Shelly Lynn Adair of Huntingdon; two stepsons, Wayne M. Justice of Huntingdon and Kent Justice of Wildersville; two sisters, Lula McClanahan of Delbarton, West Virginia and Rosella Curry of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Jennings Maynard of Painesville, Kentucky and Kenny Maynard of North Carolina; eleven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
