LOUISE M. EHRLICH
1934-2014
Louise M. Ehrlich, 79, a homemaker, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born on February 1, 1934 in Lowell, Mass., to the late Henry and Bessie Abel Houston. She was Episcopalian.
Survivors include her companion, Cecil Johnson of McKenzie, Tenn.; two daughters, Louise Megaw of McKenzie and Gail Henton of Riverdale, Utah; two sons, Ralph Nolin of Largo, Flo. and Richard Nolin of Deerfield, New Hamp.; eight grandchildren, Evan Megaw, Riannon Marcotte, Larry Marcotte, Tristan Megaw, Jeffery Nolin, Jessica Nolin, Brenna Megaw and Heather Megaw; and several great grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Ehrlich,were held Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Janner officiating. Interment icon followed at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

MAXINE HAMMETT
1931-2014
Maxine Hammett, 82, of Cedar Grove, Tenn., died Thursday, January 02, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Mrs. Hammett was born September 13, 1931 in Carroll County, Tenn., to the late Jack and Audra (Fry) Duncan. She was a retired factory worker for Basler Electric, homemaker and a member of the Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Justion Hammett; three sisters, Uldean Fry, Jennie Lee Keel, Mattie Sue Roe; and five brothers, Harry Duncan, Delbert Duncan, John Frank Duncan, Joe Bill Duncan, and Clinton Duncan.
She is survived by one son, Greg Hammett (wife Ann) of Cedar Grove; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caretaker, Elsie Moore.
Graveside services were January 3 at the Seventh Day Adventist cemetery. Bro. Robert Barger officiated the service.

LORAN C. BUTLER
1928-2014
Loran C. Butler, 85, of Hobart, Ind., died Friday, January 3, 2014 at his home.
Loran was born on January 18, 1928 in Buena Vista, Tenn. He was a longtime area resident and retired from LTV Steel after 30 years of service as a millwright. Loran then went to work for 17 years at Pinkerton Security. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a former member of the Glen Park Lodge #732 and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Right. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Medy Butler of Hollow Rock, Tenn.; brother, Olan D. and sister, Maxine.
Loran is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce (nee Massey); 3 children, Larry Butler of Haslet, TX, Jean (Bruce) Orr of Hobart, and Jerry (Amanda) Butler of Hobart; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Billy (Sue) Butler; and 4 sisters, Arabia Drinkard, Edwina Britten, Omega Hammett and Ruthel Bryant, all of Tennessee.
Funeral services for Loran are Thursday, January 9, at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, Lake Station, Ind., with Rev. Jeff Spencer officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

LOUISE G. MARTIN
1921-2013
Louise G. Martin, 92, a retired bank teller and member of Temple Baptist Church, Paris, Tenn., died December 30, 2013 at McKenzie Healthcare Center.
She was born March 29, 1921, in Obion Co., Tenn., to the late Edgar Flippin and Pearl Reynolds Flippin Scarbrough. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Gilbert and John Martin; two sisters, Frances Davenport and Christine Pinson and one brother, Alton Flippin.
Mrs. Martin was laid to rest in a private graveside service.

CONDA BROCK
1939-2014
Conda Brock, 74, of Huntingdon, Tenn., died Friday, January 03, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Brock was born October 25, 1939, in Clinchmore, Tenn., to the late Owen and Janie (Seivers) Brock. He was a retired employee of St. Joseph Hospital and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Jennetta Brock; five daughters, Cynthia Cooley, Janet (Tony) Welch, Lisa (Bobby Joe) Harbin, Erin Brock, all of Huntingdon, and Jennifer Bone, of Gleason, Tenn., a son, Timothy (Olivia) Brock, of Jackson, Tenn., four sisters, Dicie Humphrey, of Lake City, Tenn., Edith Byrge, of Jacksboro, Tenn., Lula Forth, of Kentucky and Geneva Tiller, of Diamond, Ill. He also leaves sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were January 6 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother Dan Winkler officiated the services.

BETTY JOY FLOYD
1931-2014
Betty Joy Dinkins Floyd, 82, of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, January 4, 2014.
Ms. Floyd, a Henry County native, was born June 13, 1931, to the late Albert Clifford and Bertha Owen Dinkins. She was a member of Walter Hill Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Floyd, two brothers and eleven sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Jim) Skinner of Ohio, Teresa Floyd of Kentucky, and Delores (Edward) Wallace of McKenzie, Tenn.; three sons, J. David (Kathryn) Floyd and Kenneth Floyd, both of Murfreesboro, and William (Vera) Shipp of McKenzie; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were January 7 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Brother Paul Norwood and David Floyd officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen cemetery.

Faye Anderson Vines
1931-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Faye Anderson Vines, 73, were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Mulliken officiating. Interment icon followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Vines died Sunday, April 10, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Serl Anderson, and was a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Vines of Huntingdon; one daughter, Jan Foster of Louisville, Kentucky; three sons: Max Anderson of Cedar Grove, Don Anderson of Nashville and Jerry Anderson of Winchester; one brother, Roy E. Hopper of Huntingdon; and four grandchildren.

Ford Bonds
1926-2005
BRUCETON - Services for Ford Bonds, 79, were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Melton officiating. Masonic rites were held Friday. Burial was in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock. Military honors were held at the graveside.
Mr. Bonds, a retired master sergeant with the United States Air Force, died Wednesday, April 1, at Veterans Hospital in Nashville.
He was born February 6, 1926, in Bemis to the late Willie Garrett Bonds and Lela Mae Presson Bonds. He was a member of the Bruceton First United Methodist Church, a member and past master of Bruceton Masonic Lodge #731, a member and past worthy patron of Bruceton Order of Eastern Star Odah Chapter #314, a member of the Memphis Scottish Rite, past president of the Carroll County Scottish Rite Club, York Rite, Chapter, Council and Commandry, Al Chymia Shrine and past grand commander of the Knights Templar of Tennessee.
Survivors include two daughters: Barbara Ruth Duke of Bruceton and Faye Cole of Oroville, Washington; a son, Richard Bonds of Terre Haute Indiana; four sisters: Opal Hedge of Hollow Rock, Betty Welsh of Granite City, Florida, Sally Fowler of Maryville, Illinois, and Kay Nicks of Dickson; three brothers: Wayne Bonds of Madison, Tommy Bonds of Camden, and James Bonds of Camden; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth F. Bonds.

Joan Eloise Bolen
1935-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Joan Eloise Bolen, 70, were conducted Friday, April 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Waugh officiating.
Mrs. Bolen died at the Good Samaritan Health & Rehabilitation Center in Antioch.
She was born March 12, 1935, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late John and Amy Dickens Browne. She was a retired substitute teacher for Carroll County schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, William 'Mutt' Bolen; a sister, Nancy Marie Browne; and one grandson, Jeremy Ellis.
Survivors include two daughters: Amy Sambat of Huntingdon and Jennifer Oakley of Hornlake, Mississippi; four sons: Jeff Bolen of Antioch, Rusty Bolen of Yuma, Billy Bolen of Huntingdon and Larry Bolen of Parkers Crossroads; one sister, Pat Reiter of Ohio; two brothers: John Browne of Florida and Victor Saunders of New Jersey; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Stephanie Annette Henry
1987-2005
BRUCETON - Services for Stephanie Annette Henry, 17, were held Sunday, April 17, at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Greer officiating. Interment icon followed in the New Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Stephanie died April 14 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born November 26, 1987, in McKenzie, to Phyllis Berry Forrest of Bruceton and Johnny Lee Henry of Savannah.
Survivors include two step-sisters: Janet Hollingsworth of Hollow Rock and Cindy Wallace of McKenzie; a brother, Christopher Lee Henry of Big Sandy; and one grandmother, Jeannette Cook of Big Sandy.
Oakdale Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Isa Belle Jones
1915-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Isa Bell Jones, 89, were conducted Monday, April 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor W.C. Moore officiating. Interment icon followed in the Humbles cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died Thursday, April 14, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 2, 1915, in Carroll County, to the late John A. and Mattie Strayhorn Moore, Jr. She was a member of Howard Chapel A.M.F. Church where she was the church musician until her health failed. She was also the musician for other area churches during that time. She was a wonderful cook and worked at most of the restaurants in Huntingdon.
Survivors include her husband, James Buster Jones, one stepdaughter, Jacqulin Brown; nine nieces; and eight nephews.

Bettie Lois Turpen
1911-2005
HUNTINGDON - Graveside services for Bettie Lois Turpen, 93, were conducted Saturday, April 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope cemetery in Yuma with Bro. Russell Carlock officiating.
Mrs. Turpen died Thursday, April 14, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.
She was born August 15, 1911, in Carroll County to the late Claude and Rose Morgan Blount. She was a retired waitress for the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Turpen; two sisters: Beulah Carey and Lela Birdwell; and two brothers: Johnny Blount and Mack Blount.
Survivors include one son, Harold Turpen of Bruceton, and several nieces and nephews.
