James Harlon Wall
1925-2005
YUMA - Services for James Harlon Wall, 79, were conducted Sunday, April 17, at 2:30 p.m. at the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Halters and Bro. Andrew Stokes officiating. Interment icon followed in the Clarksburg cemetery.
Mr. Wall died Friday, April 15, at his home.
He was born September 1, 1925, in Carroll County, to the late Henry and Valcour Burton Wall. He was a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired production worker of the Milan Arsenal and served as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Scott Wall, and one brother, Burton Wall.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Wall, with whom he was married on April 20, 1990; one daughter, Brenda (Steve) Laws of Yuma; two stepdaughters: Bonnie (Mike) Curran of Atwood and Brenda (Randy) Rimmer of Trezevant; two stepsons: Mike (Camill) Hudgins of Ohio and Terry (Sandra) Hudgins of McLemoresville; two sisters: Martha Ross and Evonne (James) Tate, both of Wildersville; one brother, Melvin (Joyce) Wall of Covington; one granddaughter, Ashley Laws; five step-granddaughters: Hollie Bell, April Hudgins, Brandy Riendl, Kelly Hudgins, and Cheyenne Hudgins; four step-grandsons: Charlie Barger, Wayne Barber, Scott Rimmer and Brandon Rimmer; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Catherine A. Taylor
1926-2005
CECIL, PENNSYLVANIA: Funeral services for Catherine A. Taylor, 68, formerly of McKenzie, were held Sunday, April 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Interment icon followed in the Shiloh cemetery near McKenzie. McKenzie Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor, a homemaker and widow of Rev. James A. Taylor, died Tuesday, April 12, at her daughter's residence in Cecil.
She was born August 24, 1926, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Herbert L. Brazeal and Nellie Irene Cooper Brazeal.
Survivors include two daughters: Vicki Hitson Martire of Cecil, Pennsylvania, and Cynthia Reinhardt of Spring Lake, Michigan; one son, James Taylor of St. Joseph, Michigan; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Cloyas Webb
1939-2005
McKENZIE - Services for Cloyas Webb, 66, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, at McKenzie Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Pence and Rev. Steve Douglas officiating. Interment icon will follow in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Visitation is 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, and 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday.
Mr. Webb, retired from BellSouth, died early Tuesday morning, April 19, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon following an accident.
He was born March 24, 1939, and was a member of Blooming Grove Methodist Church and a Mason. His father, Woodrow Webb, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Lemonds Webb; his mother, Clara Webb of Gleason; three sons: Tracy Webb and Blake Webb, both of McKenzie, and Steve Webb of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two sisters: Nancy Smith of Paris and Ferrlin Cassidy of Gleason; one brother, Joe Webb of Gleason; and six grandchildren.

Ethel Marie Snider
1919-2005
GLEASON - Services for Ethel Marie Snider, 85, were at 1 p.m. Friday, August 19, at Gallimore Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Ryan Potts officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mrs. Snider, a homemaker, died Wednesday, August 17, at Van Ayer Manor in Martin.
She was born December 4, 1919, to the late William and Monia (Poole) McGehee.
Survivors include a son, Bill Snider of Gleason; a daughter, Sandra Stewart of Martin; a sister, Neely Lemons of Paris; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie B. Snider, and a sister, Myra McGehee.

Jerry Walter Warbritton
1927-2005
YUMA - Mr. Jerry Walter Warbritton, 78, died Saturday, August 20, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 22, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in the Hampton cemetery. Brother Jerry Dodd and Brother Wayne Holmes officiated the services.
Mr. Warbritton was born July 11, 1927, in Huntingdon, to the late James Walter and Minnie Orr Warbritton. He was a retired Nissan parts manager with N.C. Edwards Nissan with 24 years of service. He was a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion, and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Moette F. Reeves Warbritton, who died Oct. 26, 1999; two sons, Anthony (Tony) H. Warbritton and Michael W. Warbritton; a brother, Ben T. Warbritton; and two sisters, Stella Chapman and Lucy Lewis.
He is survived by a son, Jerry D. Warbritton of Big Sandy; three daughters, Teresa Towater and Lisa Fuller, both of Yuma, and Diane Kelley of Milan; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Maggie Lois Johnson
1911-2005
GLEASON - Services for Maggie Lois Johnson, 94, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Jeffers officiating. Burial was in New Valley cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson, a homemaker, died Sunday, August 21, at McKenzie Health Care Center.
She was born January 10, 1911, in Paris, to the late Robert Lee Ellis and Ruthie May Harper Ellis. She was a member of Gleason First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter Ruth Townsend of Gleason; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar B. Johnson; two sons, Billie Joe Johnson and Bennie Lee Johnson; three daughters, Jean Johnson, Genevieve (Pete) Garner, and Peggy Joyce Johnson; four brothers, Price Ellis, Jack Ellis, Walter Ellis, and Bud Ellis; and five sisters, Quincie Perry, Clara Peery, Agnes Deaton, Ivy Berill and Ruby Trevathan.

Warren G. Smothers
1920-2004
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Warren G. 'Snake' Smothers, 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 9 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Carter officiating. Interment icon followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Smothers was born November 15, 1920 in Benton County to the late William Frances and Cora Noles Smothers. He was a retired school bus driver for the Carroll County Transportation Department, a farmer and a member of the New Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Claris Drinkard, Ollie Orr, Lula Glisson, Era Baker, and Mildred Carlisle.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lorell Mae Townsend Smothers; one daughter, Brenda Lankford of Corinth, Mississippi; two sons, Harold Smothers of McKenzie and Tim Smothers of Huntingdon; one brother, Pershing 'Pap' Smothers of Huntingdon; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Julia D. Taylor
1910-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Julia D. Taylor, 93, were at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 13 at McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with the Revs. Alan Trull and Johnny Arnold officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Taylor died on Friday morning, June 11 at Oak Manor Health Care in McKenzie.
She was born November 15, 1910 in Henry County to the late Cammie B. Smith, Sr. and Melissa Hamlin Smith. She had been a member of the Henry United Methodist Church since 1916, 88 years. There she served as church secretary, treasurer, Sunday school teacher and she was a lifetime member of the Woman's Missionary Society.
She retired from North West Tennessee Economic Development Council, was a substitute teacher for 15 years with the Henry County School System and served as president of the PTA. She was a past president of the Henry County Auxiliary and a charter member of the Henry County Heart Association. She received a 15-year pin for service with the Henry County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. She served as acting Post Master at Henry and for two years was on the Western District Board of the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Anne McSwain of McKenzie; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Grace Brewer of North Carolina and Mrs. Mildred B. Cate of Georgia; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Thomas Bomar Taylor, a sister, Mrs. Ruby Wright and a brother, C.B. Smith, Jr. all preceded her in death.

Robert Richard Hollowell, Sr.
1937-2004
LEXINGTON - Services for Robert Richard Hollowell, Sr., 66, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12 at Pafford Funeral Home. Burial was in Emmanuel Baptist Church cemetery in Huron.
Mr. Hollowell, a retired Navistar employee, died on Wednesday, June 9 at his residence. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Lexington Christian Church.
He was born July 19, 1937.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Constance Eslinger Hollowell; a son Robert Richard 'Bobby' Hollowell, Jr., of McKenzie; four daughters, Valerie Gillenwater of Huron, Sherri Lynn Hollowell of Lexington, Susan Gail McHorris and Donna Lee Edens, both of Huron; three sisters, Elsie Gaither of Sterling, Illinois, Florence Land of Silvis, Illinois and Dorothy Dorsey of Moline, Illinois; two stepbrothers, Harlind and Harold Albertson and 10 additional stepbrothers and stepsisters; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Kenneth Wayne Stewart

HENRY - Private graveside services for Kenneth Wayne Stewart, 51, will be Thursday, June 17 at Highland Memorial Gardens n Jackson. Mr. Stewart, retired employee of Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, died on Monday, June 14 at his home.
He was born June 8, 1953 in Jackson to the late Doris Marie Raines Stewart and William L. Stewart. He was a Baptist in faith, a member of the Henry Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Henry County Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Barham Stewart; two daughters, Traci C. Stewart of Henry and Jennifer L. Stewart of McKenzie; one son, David W. Stewart of Anchorage, Alaska and three grandchildren.

Ernest Earl Smith
1921-2004
HUNTINGDON - Ernest Earl Smith, 83, died on Monday morning, June 14, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. Services were incomplete at press time. Dilday Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Carl Adams, Jr.
1927-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Carl Adams, Jr., 77, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19 at Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Carr officiating. Burial was in Brock's cemetery in Greenfield.
Mr. Adams, retired truck driver, died Wednesday, June 16 at his home.
He was born March 27, 1927 in Greenfield to the late Bill Adams and Bertha Raney Adams. Her served in the army from January 11, 1946 to February 26, 1947.
Survivors include a son, Richard Adams of Parker, Colorado; three daughters, Sheila Adams Gonzalez of McKenzie, Judy Adams Warren of Chicago, Illinois and Shirley Adams Camerson of Remeoville, Illinois; a brother, J.D. Adams of Greenfield; three sisters, Marie Usery, Ruth Ann Mitchell and Sue Williamson, all of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
