Sidney Dean McGuire

TREZEVANT - Mr. Sidney Dean McGuire 73, died Saturday, June 19 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Sacramento, California.
Mr. McGuire was born November 1, 1930 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Willis Thomas and Gladys Dinsmore McGuire. He was a retired employee of the Granite Construction Company and a veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Powell McGuire, four sons, Jay Blake McGuire of Citrus Heights, California, Greg Alan McGuire of Men Docino, California, Corey Dean McGuire and Brian Neal McGuire, both of Sacramento, California; four sisters, Donna Ruth Peters of Dothan, Alabama, Virginia Wyatt of Phoenix, Arizona, Arlene McGuire and Lorraine McGuire, both of Vancouver, Washington; two brothers, Dale McGuire of Corcoran, California and Johnny McGuire of Vancouver, Washington; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Tara Lynn Dubsky Brady

SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS: Mrs. Tara Lynn Dubsky Brady, 34, passed away on Tuesday, January 20 at her home. A wake was held on Friday, January 23 and services were conducted on Saturday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Michael's Funeral Home in Schaumburg.
Mrs. Brady was born on July 31, 1969 in Huntingdon to Rick and Mary Dubsky. She lived her early years in McKenzie and attended McKenzie Elementary and Middle School. She was a journalist, magazine editor and homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Brady; a son, Jimmy Brady, her parents who reside in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a brother, Lance Dubsky of Woodbridge, Virginia and a sister, Joan Dubsky of Mayfield, Missouri.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jessica Rae Cole

BRUCETON - Services for Jessica Rae Cole, 16, were at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 26 at Bruceton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Frederick officiating. Burial was in the New Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Miss Cole, a student at Hollow Rock-Bruceton High School, died Saturday, January 24 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris from injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born March 21, 1987 in Jackson. She was a junior at Central High School, a member of the Bruceton First Baptist Church and a member of the Central High School cheerleading squad.
Survivors include her parents, Robert Ray and Lisa Ann McIlhargie Cole of Bruceton; a brother, Chris Cole of Bruceton; her grandparents, Sue Taylor Cole of Bruceton, Shelia Clark of Medina and Roland McIlhargie of Toledo, Ohio.
Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Susan Annette Cole

BRUCETON - Services for Susan Annette Cole, 43, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20 at Bruceton Funeral Home with the Rev. Arzell Douglas and Bro. Bradley Haskins officiating. Burial was in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Miss Cole, a nurse's aid, died Sunday, January 18 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
She was born December 6, 1960 in Bruceton. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her mother Sue Taylor Cole of Bruceton, a brother, Robert Ray Cole and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth Mae Cooper

DRESDEN - Services for Ruth Mae Cooper, 93, formerly of McKenzie, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27 at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Rev. Robert Dibble officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Ms. Cooper, a homemaker, died on Friday, January 23 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
She was born August 28, 1910 in Greenfield to the late Florence Bobbitt Cooper and Rev. Horace Clinton Cooper. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Rubye Irene Cooper and Raymond Vaughan.
Survivors include a niece Clarice Vaughan Dibble and her husband, Rev. Robert Dibble of Richmond, Virginia; great-nieces Denise (Mike) Gaal of Dover, Delaware, Beth Dibble and Mary Ruth Dibble, both of Richmond, Virginia; great-nephew Bryce (Candie) Dibble of Dover, Delaware; great nieces and nephews Rachel Gaal, Ian Gaal, Harrison Gaal, Kelsey Dibble and Madelyn Dibble, all of Dover, Delaware.
Burdett Deeter

HUNTINGDON - Mr. Burdett Deeter, 87, passed away on Sunday, January 25 at Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 27 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Hopper officiating. Interment
followed in the Crew's cemetery.
Mr. Deeter was born October 9, 1916 in Carroll County to the late John Frank and Leona Elburn Deeter. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by one son, Val Gene Deeter.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Imogene Deeter; two sons, Ben Deeter of Buena Vista and Jerry Deeter of Paris; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Leotha Fesmire

TREZEVANT - Services for Mr. Leotha Fesmire, 78, were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 26 at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery in Trezevant.
Mr. Fesmire, a retired employee of the Milan Army Ammunition Plant died Friday, January 23 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn T. Fesmire.
He was a member of the Pleasant Green Masonic Lodge #291 and a member of the Knights Temple in Jackson.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Allen of Milan; a brother, Odean Fesmire of Lexington; three sisters, Elsie Franklin, Lucille Hamilton and Perline Hamilton, all of Lexington; two granddaughters, and a great-grandson.
The family request that memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.

ATWOOD - Services for Robert Glen Johnson, 44, were at 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 22 at Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah cemetery in Atwood.
Mr. Johnson, disabled, died Sunday, January 18, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was born October 4, 1959 in Milan and attended Manuel Baptist Church in Milan.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Holland Ward of Atwood; a daughter, Lucinda Johnson of Atwood; a stepdaughter, Viletta Watson of Toone; a stepson, Sherman Wray Watson of Palm Desert, California; a brother, Anthony Warmath of McLemoresville and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Glen Johnson.
Millard Neely, Sr.

CLARKSBURG - Mr. Millard Neely, Sr., 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 20 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Timberlake Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Felix Tuggles officiating. Interment
followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Neely was born April 27, 1926 in Wildersville to the late Wade and Lilar Parker Neely. He was a farmer and a factory worker; a World War II, US Navy veteran and a member of the Timberlake Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also preceded in death by one son, Stanley Neely; one brother, Ray Phelps and two sisters, Lillie Mae Trice and Alice Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Annie Lee Neely; one son, Millard Neely, Jr. of Clarksburg; one daughter, Shelia Owens of Huntingdon; two sisters, Augustine Wright of Milan and Dimple Foulks of Bruceton; brothers and sisters-in-law Leoolia Phelps of Yuma, Georgia Taylor of Lexington and Miles and Betty Donald of Humboldt; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Garry Lee Patterson

Mr. Patterson was born July 2, 1950 in Huntingdon to the late Lebrun E. and Virginia Pearl Hollowell Patterson. He was a maintenance mechanic for the Camden Casting Company; a member of the Camden Masonic Lodge; a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ and an avid horse rider, being involved in most all of the local trail rides.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Janet Patterson; two daughters, Jennifer Patterson Warren and Amanda Patterson, both of Camden; four brothers, Roy D. Patterson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Joe Patterson, Keith Patterson and Rodney Patterson, all of Camden; and two grandchildren.
Donald Adrian Robbins

Mr. Robbins, a retired factory worker, died Friday, January 23, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1934 in Big Sandy.
Survivors include his mother, Lavada Robbins of Gleason; a sister, Martha Edwards of Steger, Illinois; two brothers, Bennie Robbins of Gleason and Freddie Robbins of Taylor, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Byron Robbins.
Mildred Gaynell Smothers

PARIS - Services for Mildred Gaynell Smothers, 82, were at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 26 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Elliott officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest cemetery.
Mrs. Smothers died Friday, January 23 at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 19, 1922 in Vale to the late John T. French and Luanna Pearl Smith French. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Fitzgerald of Paris and Shirley Bagwell of Huntingdon; two sons, Clyde Smothers of Clarksville and James Smothers of Paris; six grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Jessie Hicks Smothers and two brothers, Theron French and Thestus French.
