Joe Mack McCain
1927-2005
McKENZIE - Joe Mack McCain, 78, died Tuesday, November 15, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Military services were conducted November 18 in the Brummitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Graham officiating. Interment icon followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. McCain was born on January 20, 1927, in Henry, to the late Willie Goldsbery McCain and Mary Elizabeth McCain. He was a retired barber, a veteran and a charter member of VFW Post 4939 in McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Rebecca Parish McCain.
He is survived by one brother, Ralph Goldsbery McCain, and one sister, Mary Nell Butts, both of Lansing, Michigan; and a special friend, Sue Townsend, of McKenzie.

Bill Harris
1929-2005
McKENZIE - Bill Harris, 76, died Monday, November 28, at his residence. Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m., at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Mann and Rev. Vance Rushing officiating. Interment icon will follow in Everett's Chapel cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Harris was born November 7, 1929, in McKenzie, to the late William O. and Bessie Thomas Harris. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Concord Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Burke Harris of McKenzie, and one sister, Betty Sue Townsend of McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by a son, David, and four sisters: Carnis Allen, Dola Berry, Dessie Hale, and Ethel Clark.

Bobby Hayes
1944-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Bobby Hayes, 60, were conducted Thursday, April 28, at 2:00 p.m. in the Huntingdon First Baptist Church with Brother Fred Ward and Gary Atkins officiating. Interment icon followed in the Liberty All cemetery.
Mr. Hayes died Tuesday, April 26, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born November 14, 1944, in Decatur County to the late Cova Lee and Chlorine Grice Hayes. He graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1963. He began his football career under Coach Paul Ward at Huntingdon High School. Following graduation, he attended Ole Miss on scholarship for two years before transferring to UTM where he obtained a bachelor's degree in education. After college he began his teaching and coaching career in Dresden. He taught and coached football at Huntingdon and Camden high schools. He was employed by the state of Tennessee in vocational rehabilitation and Carey Counseling Center as a counselor. His professional career ended in August 1996 when he was diagnosed with acute leukemia.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Rayburn Hayes; two sons: Kevin Hayes and Kendall Hayes, both of Huntingdon; four grandchildren; two brothers: Roger Hayes and Thomas Hayes; and two sisters: Carolyn Geans and Ann Grant.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jean Martin Marshall
1925-2005
NASHVILLE - Graveside services for Jean Martin Marshall, 80, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 5, at Mt. Olivet cemetery with Kip Rush officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at Brenthaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 516 Franklin Road, Nashville.
Mrs. Marshall died Monday, May 2, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Curtis Marshall.
Survivors include her children: Curt Marshall of Auburn, Alabama, Joe Marshall of Nashville, and Mary Jean Snipes of Smyrna; one brother, Ross Martin of McKenzie; a sister, Kathryn Patterson of Dyersburg; and seven grandchildren.
Woodlawn Funeral Home of Nashville is in charge of the arrangements.

Lloyd Wade Morris
1949-2005
McKENZIE - Lloyd Wade Morris, 56, died Tuesday, October 4, at his residence. Services were conducted October 6 at Brummitt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Smithson officiating. Cremation was scheduled.
Mr. Morris was born August 27, 1949 to Emer Cooper Morris of Madison, Tennessee, and the late Eulon Markus Morris. He was disabled.
He is survived by one step-daughter, Jodi Bolton of Indiana; one step-son, Ronald Bolton of Indiana; and one sister, Sandra D. McGriff of Hermitage.

Wanda Harris Anderson
1941-2005
McKENZIE - Wanda Harris Anderson, 63, died Thursday, October 6, at her residence. Services were held Friday, October 7 at Brummitt Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kenny Carr and Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church of McKenzie, and attended Long Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan and Lovell Paris.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Anderson; three daughters: Cindy (Jerome) Jowers and Amy (Greg) Barker of McKenzie, and Cathy Pratt of Medina; one sister, Shirley York of Martin; ten grandchildren: Stephen Brasfield, Jonathan Brasfield, Courtney Jowers, Mary Beth Scott, Benjie Kee, Emily Kee, Ashley Barker, Madison Barker, Holly Barker and Whitney Devasier; and six great-grandchildren: Carson Scott, Chandler Scott, Aly Brasfield, Haley Brasfield, Hunter Brasfield, and Amber Scott.

WILLIAM WESLEY "BILL" DILL
1931-2008
HUNTINGDON - William Wesley "Bill" Dill, 76, died Monday, February 4, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday, February 7, at 2 p.m. at Huntingdon First Baptist Church with Bro. George Hill officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dill was born February 11, 1931 in Carroll County to the late Hurshel and Lola Jane Johnson Dill. He was a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church and self-employed. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Gracie Robinson.
Survivors include: three sisters, Raymell Arrington of Huntingdon, Betty Norton of Hampton, Georgia, and Linda Walker of Florence, Kentucky; one brother, Roy Gene Dill of Huntingdon and several nieces and nephews.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

HAVIS L. LAPRADE
1931-2008
HUNTINGDON - Havis Lamar Laprade, 76, died Tuesday, February 5, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services were Saturday, February 9, at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Pontotoc, Mississippi.
Mr. Laprade was born April 18, 1931 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to the late William and Lauell Gentry Laprade. He was a retired store manager for Fred's. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita P. Laprade; and one sister, Gorldean Wardlaw.
Survivors include: one son, Tim Laprade, and two granddaughters, all of Huntingdon.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

RUBY MAY O'BRYAN DAVIS STANCIL
BENTON, KENTUCKY: Ruby May O'Bryan Davis Stancil, 86, died Monday, February 4, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Friday, February 8, at 1 p.m. at Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Joel Frizzell officiating. Burial followed in Briensburg cemetery.
Mrs. Stancil was born to the late Aaron Howard O'Bryan, Sr. and Daisy Talley O'Bryan. She was a member of Briensburg Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Ray Stancil; one brother, Ray O'Bryan; and one sister, Lottie Herron.
Survivors include: three sons, William Earl Davis and Donald Davis, both of Benton, Kentucky, and Ernest Eugene "Gene" Davis of Osseo, Michigan; five sisters, Frances Altman of Cades, Rebecca Joyce Price of Waverly, Helen Viola Burke of Tampa, Florida, Rachel Ralph of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Cathy Hammonds of Jackson; three brothers, Hugh Edward "Sam" O'Bryan of Cedar Grove, Billy Wayne O'Bryan of Somersworth, New Hampshire, and Aaron Howard O'Bryan, Jr. of Huntingdon; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

MARY KATHERINE MORGAN
1921-2008
HUNTINGDON - Mary Katherine Morgan, 87, died Tuesday, February 5, at Bells Nursing Home. Funeral services were Thursday, February 7, at Union Academy Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Warner officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Survivors include: one daughter, Beverly (Tommy) Warner of Friendship; one sister, Ruth Duke of Milan; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home of Huntingdon was in charge of services.

SARAH ANN OLIVER LENOX
1937-2008
TREZEVANT - Sarah Ann Oliver Lenox, 70, died Tuesday, February 5, at N.H.C. Healthcare in Milan. Funeral services were Thursday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m. at First General Baptist Church in Milan with Rev. Donnie White officiating. Burial followed in Walnut Grove cemetery in Milan.
Mrs. Lenox was born November 24, 1937 in Carroll County to the late Jessie and Martha Louise Newbill Oliver. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lakeshore Bible Church of Harger Shore, Michigan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Frank Lenox, and one grandchild.
Survivors include: her husband, Franklin D. Lenox of Trezevant; two sons, Vincent D. Lenox and Hank E. Lenox, both of Trezevant; two daughters, Robin Ann Ryan of South Haven, Michigan and Bethany Ann Williams of Milan; one brother, Jessie Wayne Oliver of McKenzie; one sister, Betty D. Griffith of McKenzie; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

MAGGIE BYARS PASCHALL
1914-2008
MURRAY, KENTUCKY: Maggie Byars Paschall, 93, died Monday, February 4, at Spring Creek Health Care Center in Murray. Funeral services were Friday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home in Murray with Dr. Jerrell White, Rev. Martin Severns and Rev. Carlos Owens officiating. Burial followed in the Murray City cemetery.
Mrs. Paschall was born May 21, 1914 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Robert and Zffie Stamps Byars. She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and quilting. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Clydie Walker, Carlos Byars, Arlos Byars, and James Byars; five sisters, Beulah Flood, Mae Gallimore, Katherine Vaughn, Robbie Flood Rowland, and Irene Hard; and one grandson, Kenneth Ayers, II.
Survivors include: two daughters, Evelyn Ayers of Paris and Darryel (J.T.) Lee of Murray; four sons, Carves (Darlene) Paschall of McKenzie, George (Betty) Paschall, Dudley (Sandra) Paschall, and Edward Paschall, all of Nashville; one sister, Dorothy Attebury (George) Bauman of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

ADDIE H. CARTER
1915-2008
HUNTINGDON - Addie H. Carter, 92, died Monday, February 4, at Regional Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services were Saturday, February 9, at 12 noon at Dilday Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Parker officiating. Burial followed in Humbles cemetery.
Mrs. Carter was born November 8, 1916 in Wildersville to the late Joseph Seets and Annie B. Parker. She married C. J. Carter. To this union was born one daughter, Zuelean Johnson and one son, Robert L. Carter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; son; four sisters, Jeverlee Douglas, Mildred E. Porter, Betty J. Anderson, Mary House; and one brother, Eff Seets. Survivors include: one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
