LARRY THOMAS BAKER
1946-2007
TREZEVANT - Larry Thomas Baker, 60, died Saturday, February 24, at his residence. Funeral services were Monday, February 26, at 11 a.m. at Hunt Funeral Home with Don McCartney officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Green cemetery.
Mr. Baker was born August 2, 1946 to the late Clinton Baker and Virginia Williamson. He was an engineer at Porter Cable and a member of First Baptist Church in Trezevant.
Survivors include: his wife, Lois Mae Baker of Trezevant; one daughter, Tina Baker of Huntingdon; two sons, Brian Baker and Steven Baker, both of Trezevant; two sisters, Joan Rutherford of Bradford and Joy Tucker of Trenton; and six grandchildren.

RAYMOND JAMESON
1939-2007
HUNTINGDON - Raymond Jameson, 67, died Tuesday, February 20, at Huntingdon Health and Rehab. Funeral services were Saturday, February 24, at 2 p.m. at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Jameson officiating. Burial followed in Humbles cemetery.
Mr. Jameson was born May 18, 1939 in Carroll County to the late Prentice and Hallie King Jameson. He was self-employed.
Survivors include: his wife, Deloris Yarbrough Jameson; one son, David Jameson; three sisters, Louise Blankenship, Melvie Sue Pearson and Vela Mae Owen; two brothers, Dwayne Jameson and Carvine Jameson, all of Smyrna Community; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MAURICE ORVILLE PINKHAM
1931-2007
MILAN - Maurice Orville Pinkham, 75, died Tuesday, February 20, at Rose Garden Retirement Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 1, at 5 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Milan.
Mr. Pinkham was born December 13, 1931 in Saco, Maine to the late Lester Howard and Turquoise Pearl Downing Pinkham. He was an electrical engineer for the U.S. government.
Survivors include: his companion, Monda Irby Wildridge; three sons, Russell Pinkham, Jeffrey Pinkham, and Richard Pinkham; and a daughter, Rena Pinkham.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

ROBERT WILLIAM NELLETT
1981-2007
HUNTINGDON - Robert William Nellett, 25, died Sunday, February 25, at his home. Funeral services will be Friday, March 2, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Charles J. Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty All cemetery.
Mr. Nellett was born August 6, 1981 in Munster, Indiana. He was a security guard for Diamond Security.
Survivors include: his wife, Holly Bawcum Nellett; one daughter, Meagan Nellett; one son, Robert William Nellett, Jr.; his parents, Chester and Katherine Nellett; five brothers, Chester E. (Katherine) Nellett of Gary, Indiana, Daniel R. Nellett of Griffith, Indiana, Brian M. Nellett, Anthony A. Nellett, and Randy K. Nellett, all of Huntingdon.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

VIRGINIA J. ALLEN
1941-2007
HUNTINGDON - Virginia J. Allen, 65, died Monday, February 26, at her home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel cemetery.
Mrs. Allen was born December 14, 1941 to the late Smith and Hazel (Norden) Thorne. She was a retired production worker for the Henry I. Siegel Company, a waitress at Joe's Barbeque, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Allen.
Survivors include: one son, David (Darlene Holt) Allen of Brownsville; one sister, Betty Thorne (Eric) Muir of Jackson; two brothers, William Leon (Deborah) Thorne of Memphis and David (Sabrina) Thorne of Huntingdon; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

EDWARD RICHARD "BILL" SUTHERLAND
1933-2008
GLEASON - Edward Richard "Bill" Sutherland, 75, died Friday, February 15, at Volunteer Community Hospital. Funeral services were Monday, February 18, at 11 a.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial followed in West Union cemetery.
Mr. Sutherland was born January 14, 1933 in Dresden to the late Irie and Elsie Jones Sutherland. He was a retired heavy equipment operator at K-T Clay Company and member of West Union Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marland Sutherland; and one sister, Dorothy Lax.
Survivors include: one brother, James Sutherland of Louisville, Kentucky; and three sisters, Mavis Insco of Dresden, Nell Childress of Louisville, Texas and Inez McKowen of Martin.

ANDREW JOSEPH RINI
1920-2008
HUNTINGDON - Andrew Joseph Rini, 87, died Saturday, February 16, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. There will be no services for Mr. Rini.
Mr. Rini was born September 20, 1920 in Louisiana. He was a retired engineer for the railroad and a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Joseph Rini, Jr., and one daughter-in-law, Norma Frances Rini.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruth E. Rini; one sister, Josephine of New Orleans; one granddaughter; one grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LELA MAE BELEW
McKENZIE - Lela Mae Belew, 91, died Monday, February 18, at Oak Manor Health Care Center in McKenzie. Funeral services are Thursday, February 21, at 2 p.m. at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Burial will follow at Union Academy cemetery near McKenzie.
Mrs. Belew was born May 2, 1916 in Hollow Rock to the late Albert and Onie Turner Traywick. She was a retired factory employee for Henry I. Siegel in Trezevant and a member of Union Academy Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Russell Belew; one sister, Ardell Barksdale; and three brothers, Wayne Traywick, Marvin Traywick, and Willard Traywick.
Survivors include: two sons, Phil (Betty) Belew of McKenzie and Ronnie (Frances) Belew of Brownsville; one granddaughter, Carol (Stormey) Crocker of McKenzie; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Crocker and Austin Crocker of McKenzie; and one sister, Gay Nell Balind of Indiana.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Leona Crossett Hammer
1926-2003
ATWOOD - Services for Leona Crossett Hammer, 76, were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 21 at Howse Baptist Church with Dr. Tony Latham officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah cemetery.
Mrs. Hammer, a retired ITT Telecommunications employee, died Thursday, April 17 at her home. She was a charter member of the Howse Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Atwood Home Demonstration Club and a volunteer at Milan General Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Mathis of Hockessin, Delaware; a son, Wally Hammer of Jackson; and two granddaughters.
The family requests memorials be directed to the Howse Baptist Curch. Bodkin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Joe Willard Griffin
1937-2004
McKENZIE - Joe Willard Griffin, 66, died Sunday, February 29, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Griffin were held Tuesday, March 2, at 4:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield with Brother Dennis Beal officiating. Burial followed in Pilgrim Rest cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Griffin was an employee of WSW of Sharon. He was born November 28, 1937. Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his father, O.B. Griffin.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Shirley Griffin of McKenzie; a son, Rickey Griffin of McKenzie; a daughter, Kathy (Griffin) Brennan of McKenzie; his mother, Lena (Bynum) Griffin of McKenzie; a brother, L.J. Griffin of Greenfield; and four grandchildren.

Crystal Rene Lewis
1984-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Crystal Rene Lewis, 19, will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10 at Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with the Rev. Cortez Merrill officiating. Burial will be in Leach Apostolic Church cemetery in Leach.
Miss Lewis died Sunday, March 7 at Henry County Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born June 15, 1984 in McKenzie. She was a 2003 McKenzie High School graduate and a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Patricia Marise Smith of McKenzie; her father, Danny Lewis of Orlando, Florida; three sisters, Melissa Deaton of Greenfield, Carla King Heater and Robyn Lewis, both of McKenzie and a brother, Otis King of Huntingdon.

Mavis Marie Mason
1925-2004
KENNESAW, GEORGIA - Mrs. Mavis Marie Mason, 79, died on Saturday, March 6. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Johnson officiating. Interment icon followed at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mason was the daughter of Ollie and Jessie Newsome and was born in Trezevant. She was an active member of Freedom Christian Fellowship Church of God in Kennesaw.
Survivors include her husband, Manuel Mason of Kennesaw; one son, Daniel R. Mason of Marietta, Georgia; and four daughters, Donna K. Mason of Marietta, Georgia; Brenda F. Jamison of Memphis; Linda C. Hoffman of Mount Dora, Florida and Mavis Rhena Gray of Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

Charlie Jackson Davenport
1935-2004
WILSON, NORTH CAROLINA - Charlie Jackson Davenport, son of Cornelius Davenport and Edna Clarence Davenport was born November 1, 1935 in Portland. A memorial service was conducted by Elder Norris at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Wilson, North Carolina.
He was the only living son of four children born to this union. Charlie also had three half-brothers, Mac Davenport, Bill Davenport and Lawrence Davenport.
On December 22, 1956, Charlie was joined in marriage to Mary Frances Ownby and from this union three children were born: Teresa Jayne Finn of Rocky Mount, Charlie Jackson Davenport, Jr. of Raleigh and Stephanie Renee Roberson of Elm City. There are 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to NC Special Care Center, Alzheimer's Unit, 4761 Ward Blvd., Wilson, NC 27893 or Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1423 NW Forest Hills Road, Wilson, NC 27896.
