STEVEN K. PARKER
1964-2008
PARIS - Steven K. Parker, 44, died Sunday, June 15, at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 18, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Parker was born February 10, 1964 in Paris. He was an Operation Supervisor at the TVA Steam Plant in New Johnsonville and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in New Johnsonville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Lewis Parker of McKenzie, and one sister, Melanie Parker Parham.
Survivors include: his father, Keith T. Parker of McKenzie; three sons, Ben Parker of Trezevant and Chase Parker and Clay Parker, both of New Johnsonville; one daughter, Brooke (Shane) De Priest of Columbus, Mississippi; and one grandson, Bladen De Priest.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

MUSA ELFRIEDA COX
1921-2006
HUNTINGDON - Musa Elfrieda Cox, age 84, died Saturday, April 29, at her home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 2, at the Long Rock United Methodist Church with Bro. Wayne Holmes officiating. Interment icon followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cox was born September 27, 1921, in Lauderdale County, to the late Troy Earl and Carrie Ann Cates Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Long Rock United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyde L. Cox, who died in 1999; and two sons, David L. Cox and Harold L. Cox.
She is survived by two sons, John Cox of Huntingdon and Larry Cox of Jackson; one brother, Troy Smith, Jr. of Camden; and three grandchildren: Jennifer Fouse, Sean Cox, and Kevin Cox.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAM CLARENCE MORGAN
1948-2006
HUNTINGDON - William Clarence Morgan, age 58, died April 30, at his residence. Funeral services were Monday, May 1, at Brummitt Funeral Home, McKenzie with burial in the Union Academy cemetery. Brother Virgil Bishop provided the eulogy.
Mr. Morgan was born January 19, 1948, in Carroll County, to Bennie Morgan, Sr., and Clara May (Wheeler) Morgan, both deceased.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie Morgan, Jr., and Doug Morgan, and two sisters, Doris Hall and Evelyn Sydnor.
Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Walls of Huntingdon; a brother, Bobby (Linda) Morgan of McKenzie; a sister, Ruth Morgan of McKenzie; two grandchildren, Jessica Wall and Kayley Walls; 13 nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Donald Reynolds and Michael Hollowell.

BILLY DARNELL SNEAD
1928-2006
McKENZIE - Billy Darnell Snead, age 77, died April 27, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Sunday, April 30, at First Baptist Church, McKenzie. Dennis Trull and Clayton Owen offered the eulogy. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Snead was born May 21, 1928, in Jackson, to Maurice Snead and Gertrude (Haddock) Snead, both deceased. He was a retired factory worker and Dixie Motel Service Station worker.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Snead.
Survivors include: his wife, Lura Agnes (Rye) Snead; a son, Tim Snead of McKenzie; two sisters, Lucy Snead of McKenzie, and Ann (Charles) Pankey of Knoxville; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge.

WILLIEDEEN ROWLAND THOMAS KEMP
1913-2006
McKENZIE - Williedeen Rowland Thomas Kemp, age 93, died Thursday, April 27, at Oak Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services were Friday, April 28, at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim McGuire officiating. Interment icon was in the church cemetery.
She was born February 21, 1913, in Huntingdon, to James Amos Rowland and Mary Lou Ellie Pugh, both deceased. She was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a former employee of Holland's Dairy and a homemaker. She was a member of AARP Quilting Circle and the Hico Home Demonstration Club.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Thomas and Loyd Kemp; daughter, Nancy Thomas Barksdale Smith; and sister, Hallie Rowland Crider.
Survivors include one step-son, Charles (Linda) Kemp of McKenzie; two step-daughters, Jane Thomas (Kenneth) Chandler of McKenzie and Sarah (Oscar) Owen of McKenzie; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
McKenzie Funeral Home was in charge.

MARY LEE SCARBROUGH
1912-2007
McKENZIE - Mary Lee Scarbrough, 95, died Tuesday, December 4, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services were Friday, December 7, at 2 p.m. at Seminary United Methodist Church with Pastor Jo Nell Copeland officiating. Burial followed in Seminary cemetery.
Mrs. Scarbrough was born July 26, 1912 in Marion County, Texas to the late Lawrence Walker and Mary Leona Carter Walker. She was a homemaker and a member of Seminary United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Winton Scarbrough, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: three sons, Marshall Glen (Margaret) Scarbrough of Antioch, Ed Scarbrough and Billy (Pat) Scarbrough, both of McKenzie; two daughters, Diane (Buddy) Knott and Sandra (Darriel) Abell, both of McKenzie; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

JUANITA WILLIAMS HOLLEY
1926-2007
BRUCETON - Juanita Williams Holley, 81, died Tuesday, December 4, at Life Care of Bruceton. Funeral services were Thursday, December 6, 2 p.m. at Bruceton Church of Christ with Ted Gentle officiating. Burial followed in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Holley was born July 27, 1926 in Bruceton to the late Henry Carl Williams and Era Blance Elkins Williams. She was Vice-President and Manager of the Bank of Huntingdon and a member of the Bruceton Church of Christ, Bruceton Women's Club and Carroll County Library Board. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Holley; and two brothers, Thomas H. Williams and Clyde Wallace Williams, both of Bruceton.
Survivors include: nieces and nephews.
Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LUCILLE RAYBURN
1928-2007
HENRY - Lucille Rayburn, 79, died Tuesday, December 4, at Henry County Medical Center. The body will be cremated.
Mrs. Rayburn was born January 28, 1928 to the late Bedford H. Pruitt and Martha Abney Pruitt. She retired after 25 years working at Brown Shoe Company in McKenzie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Kenneth Rayburn; two brothers, Jessie and George Mitchell Pruitt; and one sister, Roxie Tulley.
Survivors include: two daughters, Regina Allen of Henry and Martha Sue (Mike) Lee of Davis, California; four sisters, Flo Mitchell of Louisville, Kentucky, Ina Watson of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Virginia Morgan of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Corinia Gearids of Thompkinsville, Kentucky; four brothers, Russell Pruitt of Danville, Indiana, James Pruitt of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jimmy Pruitt of Mudlick, Kentucky and Bedford Pruitt, Jr. of Noblesville, Indiana; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ridgeway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

FLORENCE MAE BUNYEA SORTOR
1936-2007
McKENZIE - Florence Mae Bunyea Sortor, 71, died Thursday, November 29, at her home. Funeral services were Monday, December 3, at 1 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Jason Jackson officiating. Burial followed in Family cemetery on New Zion Road in McKenzie.
Mrs. Sortor was born November 6, 1936 in Bellville, Michigan to the late Charles N. Bunyea and Helene (Gorlitz) Bunyea. She was a retired medical assistant. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.
Survivors include: her husband, Raymond L. Sortor of McKenzie; three sons, Jerry Moran of Ypsilanti, Michigan, James Sortor of Toledo, Ohio and Bobby Sortor of McKenzie; five daughters, Joyce Pennington and Janice Moran, both of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Angela (Mike) King of Trezevant, Danielle (Rob) Watson of McKenzie, and Susan White of Huntingdon; two sisters, Carolyn (Eldean) Weidmayer of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Rebecca (John) Overstreet of Ashdown, Arkansas; and 13 grandchildren.

CHARLES MICHEAL (MIKE) HAYES
1955-2007
HUNTINGDON - Charles Michael (Mike) Hayes, 52, died Wednesday, December 5, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, December 8, at 2 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Cooper and Bro. Dan Winkler officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hayes was born May 18, 1955 in Jackson. He was a self-employed butcher and a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Aaron Hayes.
Survivors include: his wife, Beverly Hayes; his mother, Gracie Katherine Hayes of Huntingdon; two sons, Cary Hayes of Nashville and Charles Peery of Huntingdon; two daughters, Amanda Hayes of Westport and Brigitte Peery of Chattanooga; two stepdaughters, Wendy Velie of Seattle, Washington and Vicki Overman of Huron; one brother, Adam Hayes of Huntingdon; one sister, Vicki Fuller of Mercer; one half-sister, Debbie Gage of Milan; two grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.

VIRGINIA MOORE MAY
1918-2007
BRUCETON - Virginia Moore May, 89, died Sunday, December 9, at her home. Funeral services were Tuesday, December 11, 11 a.m. at Bruceton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Whitworth officiating. Burial followed in Ebenezer Methodist Church cemetery in Hustburg, Tennessee.
Mrs. May was born September 30, 1918 in Hustburg to the late Jordan Fred Moore and Dora Belle Fortner. She was a retired teller for the Bank of Huntingdon, Bruceton Branch; member of Bruceton First United Methodist Church; former Sunday School Teacher; member of United Methodist Women, Bruceton Order of Eastern Star Adah Chapter #314 and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include: her husband of 60 years, Melvin Lee May of Bruceton; two daughters, Judy Wilder of Troy and Jenny Lee May of Bruceton; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

JAMES RAYMOND KELLY
1924-2007
CEDAR GROVE - James Raymond Kelly, 83 died Thursday, December 6, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital . Funeral services were Sunday, December 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Roger Schmidt officiating . Burial followed at the Seventh Day Adventist cemetery .
Mr. Kelly was born August 12, 1924 in Huntingdon to the late James Anderson Kelly and Mae Elizabeth (Fry) Kelly. He was a cabinet maker, a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and a World War II Navy Veteran. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Kelly.
Survivors include: one son, Terry Allen Kelly of Florida; two brothers, Ray (Johnie) Kelly of Cedar Grove and Larry (Helen) Kelly of Ridgetop; and two grandchildren.
