McKENZIE - Services for Joyce Lee Moody, 62, were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 11 at Gallimore Chapel Funeral Home in Gleason with the Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial was in the Hopewell cemetery.
Mrs. Moody, retired restaurant owner, died Wednesday, April 9 at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
She was born August 5, 1940 in Westport, Arkansas to the late Willie and Thelma Todd Jones.
Survivors include a daughter, Tracy Kanhdz of McKenzie; a brother, John Jones of Marcellus, Michigan; a sister, Edith Burchard of Portage, Michigan and four grandchildren.

Cosette Jordan Melton
1909-2003
PARIS - Services for Cosette Jordan Melton, 93, formerly of Bruceton, were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Jordan officiating. Burial was in Prospect cemetery near Camden.
She was born August 5, 1909 in Benton County to the late James Wrightman Jordan and Dosie Hicks Jordan. She was a member of the St. John Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarita Walker of Paris and five grandchildren.
Her husband, Joyce Melton preceded her in death.

George Morgan Fowler
1924-2003
WINGO, KENTUCKY: Services for George Morgan Fowler, 79, will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 30 at Brown Funeral Home in Wingo with the Revs. Chad Lamb and Rayland (Bubba) Smith officiating. Burial will be in Clark cemetery.
Mr. Fowler, retired employee of the Milan Arsenal, died on Sunday, April 27 at Heritage Manor. He attended Enon Baptist Church and was a World War II army veteran.
Survivors include five sons, Larry Fowler of McKenzie, George Wayne Fowler of Glen, Mississippi, Gerald Wade Fowler and Benjamin Lee Fowler, both of Corinth, Mississippi and Ronnie Atwood of Atwood; a daughter, Nancy Kay Edgins of Trezevant; a stepson, Paul Camp of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; a stepdaughter, Doris Dodd Hobbs of New Mexico; four brothers, Bryant Fowler, Hershel Fowler, Clovis Fowler and David Fowler, all of Mayfield, Kentucky; three sisters, Lear Wiley of Mayfield, Kentucky, Polly Morefield of Wingo, Kentucky and Geraldine McClure of Fulgham, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
A sister, Dovi Mae Gilpin; his second wife, Betty camp, his parents, Felix and Lelear Cox Fowler; a son, Terry Lynn Fowler; a daughter, Charlotte Jane Fowler; and two brothers, Dexter (Hoss) and Hempel Fowler all preceded him in death.

George H. Batey
1925-2003
BRUCETON - Graveside services for George H. Batey, 77, formerly of Joiner Arkansas were on Saturday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hebron cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Batey died on Wednesday, April 23.
He was born August 8, 1925 in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Earl and Annie Batey. He was a member of Joiner Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He was also a World War II navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Batey; three sons, Garry Batey and Larry Batey, both of Bruceton and Mike Batey of Wilson, Arkansas; a daughter, Debra Hutcherson of Decaturville; a brother, Shirley Batey of Willis, Michigan; five sisters, Ruby Lacey of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Louise Yahn, address unknown, Irene Reynolds of Broodhead, Kentucky, Patsy Blackburn of Bruceton and Lou Ann Krupusky of Sheet, Maryland; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Roller-Swift Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Donald Ray Harmon, Jr.
1957-2003
MILAN - Mr. Donald Ray Harmon, Jr., 46, died on Saturday, April 26 at the McKenzie Regional Medical Center in McKenzie. Memorial services were conducted on Tuesday, April 29 at 4:00 p.m. at the Free Will Mission Church in Atwood with Brother Robert Whitmore officiating.
Mr. Harmon was born on January 23, 1957 in Woodville, Texas. He was an employee of the AAA Plumbing and Electrical. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Harmon, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Elizabeth Garrison of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Kimberly Summers of San Antonio, Texas and Dynoia Webster of Elgin, South Carolina; three brothers, Glenn E. Gerard III of Unionville, Connecticut, Douglas Floyd of Elgin, South Carolina and Thomas Jefferson Harmon of Vidor Texas; several nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Elizabeth Iann Cary
1937-2003
HOLLOW ROCK - Services for Elizabeth Iann Cary, 66, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26 at Bruceton Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial was in the Prospect cemetery.
Mrs. Cary, a retired secretary for Carroll Farmers Co-Op and HIS, died Friday, April 25 at Life Care Center in Bruceton.
She was born on February 28, 1937 in Colt, Arkansas to the late Wilbur Ernest Hamilton and Mable Lee Clecc Hamilton. Due to the death of her mother, she was reared by her Aunt and Uncle Lucille and Richard Clecc.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Lee Cary; a daughter, Tina Marie Madden of Jackson; a son, Ricky Garrett of Arkansas; two stepdaughters, Beth Devault of Hollow Rock and Pam Gallimore of Bruceton; two stepsons, Steve Cary and Mark Cary, both of Hollow Rock and two grandchildren.

Vivian Marie Blaylock
1925-2004
TREZEVANT - Funeral services for Vivian Marie Blaylock, 79, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 1, at the chapel of Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Rev. Malcolm Norton officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery in Trezevant.
Mrs. Blaylock, a retired employee of Henry I. Siegel in Trezevant, died Wednesday, December 29. She was born December 29, 1925, the daughter of the late Roy Cantrell and Jamima Teder Cantrell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Trezevant.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Blaylock, Sr., and grandchildren, Bobby Blaylock, Jr. and John Blaylock.

Mary C. Dickerson
1926-2004
MICHIGAN: Mrs. Mary C. Dickerson, 78, formerly of Huntingdon, died Thursday, December 23, in Michigan.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, December 29, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in the Bethlehem cemetery.
Mrs. Dickerson was born May 28,1926, in Hollow Rock. She was a retired cashier for SS Kresge Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Dickerson.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Christine Jerome, of AuGres, Michigan and two granddaughters.

Chief Master Sgt. Arthur Evans Gooch
1948-2004
ARIZONA: Chief Master Sergeant Arthur Evans Gooch, retired, age 56, succumbed to cancer at Banner Gardens Hopsice in Mesa, Arizona, on December 23. He was a correctional officer for the state of Arizona. A graveside service is to be conducted at a later date at Everetts Chapel cemetery.
Arthur (Artie) was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a 1966 graduate of Gleason High School. He was born November 9, 1948, to the late John Arthur and Lillian Pearl Page Gooch of McKenzie. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his previous wife, Patricia Gooch.
Mr. Gooch is survived by his wife, Diana Gooch, and stepson, Ryan Carkhuff of Mesa, Arizona; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Beverly Gooch of Smryna; and three nieces, Lacey and Rebecca Gooch of Smyrna and Jamie (Arby) Cordell of Cottondale, Alabama.

Queenie W. Hollowell
1915-2004
McKENZIE - Services for Queenie W. Hollowell, 89, were at 10 a.m. Friday, December 31, at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery.
Mrs. Hollowell, a retired nurse's aide, died Wednesday, December 29, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
She was born August 27, 1915, in Holladay, to the late Landon Wilson and Victoria Melton Wilson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKenzie.
Survivors include a son, Dwayne (Dot) Hollowell of McKenzie; a daughter, Sara (Neil) Scates of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren: Mike (Jan) Hollowell, Ann (Ricky) Anderson, Billy (Angie) Hollowell, Trey Scates, and Steve (Mary) Scates; thirteen great-grandchildren: Anthony Motley, Hayden Scates, McKay Scates, Corey Scates, Jessica Scates, Dylan Scates, Carrie Hollowell, Joshua Hollowell, Daniel Hollowell, Beth Hollowell and Leigha Hollowell; two step-great-grandchildren: Joey (Autumn ) Anderson and Scottie Anderson; and a step-great-great-grandson, Ty Anderson.

Willie Phillips
LAVINIA - Services for Willie Phillips, 92, were Monday, January 3, at Bodkin Funeral Home with Rev. Don McKee officiating. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery in Lavinia.
Mr. Phillips, a retired farmer, died Saturday, January 1, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntingdon.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Phillips of Lavinia; one son, James Phillips of Medina; two brothers, Odell Phillips and Earl Phillips, both of Atwood; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Thelma F. Reed
1916-2004
TREZEVANT - Services for Thelma F. Reed, 88, were Thursday, December 30, at First Baptist Church in Trezevant with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating. Burial was in Trezevant cemetery. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Reed, a retired employee of Henry I. Siegel in Trezevant, died Tuesday, December 28, at McKenzie Health Care Center.
She was born April 3, 1916, in Trezevant, to the late John Fodge and Hattie Hames Fodge. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gary (Annette) Reed of Memphis; a daughter, Donna Marshall of Trezevant; five grandchildren: Chris (DeAnna) Mann, Lori Marshall, Nick (Teresa) Reed, Chad (Julie) Reed and Dixie (Mike) Whitby; and five great-grandchildren: Dustin Mann, Kelsey Mann, Sammie Lusk, Morgan Reed and Lauren Whitby.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Malcolm Fodge, Roy Fodge and Leonard Fodge, and two sisters: Ruby Jones and Lucille Jones.
