Jimmy "Shorty" Redden
EVA: Jimmy "Shorty" Redden, 61, formerly of Huntingdon, was killed in a tractor accident Monday, September 12, near his home in Eva. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time. Dilday Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by a son, Jantzen Redden; a daughter, Marla Redden; and one sister, Gaye Lynn Tippitt of Huntingdon.

Robert Lynn Taylor
1957-2005
McKENZIE - Services for Robert Lynn Taylor, 48, were conducted Sunday, July 3, at Reedy Creek Baptist Church in McLemoresville. Interment icon followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Taylor died suddenly at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born June 29, 1957, in Ben Harbor, Michigan, to the late Wilbert Taylor and Elsie Dean Coleman Taylor, who survives. He was preceded in death by a brother, Cornelius.
Survivors include his wife, Harriette Milton Taylor; two sons, Carlos Taylor and Taurus Taylor, both of McKenzie; two stepsons, Eric Cozart and Reggie Cozart, both of McKenzie; one brother, Larry Darnell Taylor of Atwood; four sisters, Adean Newbill and Sabrina Taylor, both of McKenzie, and Ann McClerkin and Mary Ann Taylor, both of Atwood; two stepbrothers, Charlie Collins, Jr. and Robert Lee Collins; one stepsister, Barbara Harrell; and four grandchildren.

Mary Kathryn "Snooky" O'Brien
1955-2005
PARRISH, FLORIDA - Mary Kathryn "Snooky" O'Brien, 49, formerly of Martin, died September 11, of a heart attack. Services were held Friday, September 16, at Brown & Sons Funeral Home in Bradenton, Florida.
Mrs. O'Brien was born December 6, 1955 in Memphis. She was a graduate of UT-Martin.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen O'Brien, and their 11-year-old son, Kevin O'Brien; her mother, Scyble Agent Crawford of Henry; a sister, Joan Crawford Pritchett of Martin; and a brother, Gerald Crawford of Florence, Alabama.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, John B. Crawford, III, of McKenzie, on April 19, 2005.

Aliene Baker Woodard
1916-2005
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Aliene Baker Woodard, 89, died Sunday, September 18, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Brian Oakes and Bro. Phillip Halter officiated.
Mrs. Woodard was born February 10, 1916, to the late Alonzo and Bertie Mae Bain Murphy. She was the widow of Blanton Baker and Clarence "Buddy" Woodard and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Bain Baker; six brothers, John Henry, J.C., Wesley, James Lonnie and Fonnie; and three sisters, Irene Morris, Lurene Woodard, and Corine Brandon. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Troy Glenn Baker and William Edward Baker, both of Huntingdon; one daughter, Nancy Lynn Gateley of Cedar Grove; one sister, Addene Jackson; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Frances R. Wright
1929-2005
McKENZIE - Frances R. Wright, 76, died Monday, September 19, at Oak Manor Health Care. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 4 p.m. at Shiloh cemetery in McKenzie with Bro. Kenny Carr officiating.
She was born February 12, 1929 in Trezevant to the late Matthew and Lonnier Watkins Reynolds. She was a member of Long Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Mitchell Wright of McKenzie; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Brummitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marvin Lovearn Moeckel
1942-2004
McKENZIE - Memorial services for Marvin Lovearn Moeckel, 62, were Sunday, January 2, at First Baptist Church in Trezevant with the Rev. Malcolm Norton officiating. The body was cremated.
Mr. Moeckel, a truck driver, died Thursday, December 30, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born January 12, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Lovearn Moeckel and Mary Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Jana Lee Chlodo Moeckel; a son, Danny Moeckel of Milan and a sister, Mariene Tiepelman of St. Louis, Missouri.
Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield was in charge of the arrangements.

Tony Castleman
1960-2005
BRUCETON - Services for Tony Castleman, 44, were at 3 p.m. Monday, January 3, at First Baptist Church in Bruceton with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial was in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Castleman, a caster for Norandal Inc. in Huntingdon, died Saturday, January 1, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born April 21, 1960, in McKenzie to Nancy Powell Smith and Kenneth Castleman. He was a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church, a member of the TSSAA Umpire Association, past president of Little League Baseball and president of Babe Ruth Baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Castleman; two sons: Josh Castleman and John Castleman, both of Bruceton; a sister, Danielle Harper of Bruceton; his mother and step-father, Nancy and Dennis Smith of Huntingdon; his father and step-mother, Kenneth and Peggy Castleman of Paris; and one grandson.

William Aaron Pinson
1910-2005
McKENZIE - Services for William Aaron Pinson, 95, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Interment icon followed in the Mt. Olivet cemetery. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Pinson, retired from the Milan Arsenal and a former McKenzie Police Chief, died Thursday, May 12, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born January 9, 1910, in Hollow Rock, to the late Carl Wright Pinson and Dora Lee Lindsey Pinson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKenzie and Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Pinson of McKenzie and Donald Pinson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathy Smith of McKenzie and Jean Lanier of Oneonta, Alabama; a sister, Louise Pinson of McKenzie; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Cozart Pinson.

Peter Michael James
1960-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Peter Michael James, 44, were conducted Monday, May 16, at 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Father Fisher officiating.
Mr. James, a factory worker, died Saturday, May 14, at his residence. He was born September 29, 1960, in Norwalk, Connecticut.
Survivors include two sons, Michael James of Milan and Jason James of Huntingdon; one daughter, Katherine Jerden of Collierville; his mother, Patricia James of Huntingdon; his father, Richard James of Huntingdon; four brothers: Richard James of Mt. Vernon, New Hampshire, Tom James of Bruceton, Scott Hixon of Stewart, Florida, and Jack Hixson of Hollow Rock; one sister, Beth Varner of Augusta, Georgia; his companion, Michelle Walden of Huntingdon and her children, Brittany and James Walden; and one grandson.

Evon Ashby
1929-2005
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA: Services for Evon Ashby, 75, were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, at the Clarksburg Church of Christ with Brother Billy Ringold and Brother Bill Crossno officiating. Interment icon followed in Sellers Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Ashby died Monday, May 9, in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
She was born September 9, 1929, in Carroll County, to the late Rice and Tweedie Milam. She was a retired production worker for Publix Shirt Factory and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Shook of Clarksburg, West Virginia, and Rita Kicker of Herman, Missouri; one brother, Lloyd Milam of Clarksburg; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Ashby; three brothers, Weldon Milam, Clyde Milam and Billy Ray Milam; and one great-granddaughter.

William Ray Carnal
1927-2005
HUNTINGDON - Graveside services for William Ray Carnal, 77, were conducted Sunday, May 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Christian Chapel cemetery with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating.
Mr. Carnal died Friday, May 13, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was born July 3, 1927, in Westport, to the late William Oscar Carnal and Neva Mann Carnal. He was a retired pipe fitter for the Kerr-McGee Company and worked as a volunteer fireman, EMT paramedic and was a veteran of the United States Army. In his earlier years he attended the West Tennessee Business College and Lambuth University. He was also a member of the Ford Mustang Club, National Rifle Association and attended the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Gaskin.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ashley of Oakfield; two sons, Stephen Carnal of Jakckon and Craig Canal of Pasadena, Texas; three sisters, Clara Butonne Williams of Cedar Grove, Kathlene Baldwin of Alamo and Mildred Townsend of Huntingdon; two grandchildren; one step-grandson; and three great-grandchildren.

Ray Mann
1914-2005
DUNNELLON, FLORIDA - Graveside services for Ray Mann, 90, were conducted at Woodlawn Memorial Garden cemetery in Orlando, Florida Tuesday, May 3. Robert's Funeral Home of Dunnellon was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Mann died Saturday, April 30, at the Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida.
He was born in Jackson, Kentucky, on December 21, 1914, to the late Fred and Louise Mann. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Tina Mann; seven siblings: Rosella Mann, Laura Mann, Curt Mann, Chet Mann, Dave Mann, Becky Rice and Gracie Meisen; and a granddaughter, Teresa Mann.
Survivors include one sister, Tressie Shahnasarian of Hobe Sound, Florida; three children: Robert (Sharon) Mann of Orlando, Florida, JoAnn Nunnery of McKenzie, and Fred (Marsha) Mann of Dunnellon, Fl.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
