Maudeline Boswell Markham

BRUCETON - Services for Maudeline Boswell Markham, 86, were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 24, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Interment icon followed in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Marham, a retired seamstress for Publix, died Tuesday, February 22, at Camden General Hospital.
She was born April 23, 1918 in Benton County to the late Jerry James Boswell and Lena Pinkston Boswell. She was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Moore of Bruceton, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn J. Markham, and a brother, Kenneth Boswell.

Wallace Hutchinson
1920-2005
McKENZIE - Services for Wallace Hutchinson, 84, were at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal and Billy Mcgarity officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Hutchinson, a service station manager, died Friday, February 25, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born November 18, 1920 in Hickman County to the late Mattie Black Hutchinson and Cliff Hutchinson.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Millie Roberts Hutchinson; five daughters, Linda Jo Trolinger of Buchanan, Carlean Floyd of McKenzie, Sandra Cooper of Huntingdon, Mattie Fowlkes of Union City and Pearl Ann Buchanan of Humboldt; two sisters, Pearlie Barton of McKenzie and Jodie Kernodle of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Bobby Ray Bush
1941-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Bobby Ray Bush will be conducted on Wednesday, March 2 at Eastview Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Larry Dishman officiating. Interment icon will follow in Wheeler cemetery near McEwen.
Mr. Bush died on Monday, February 28 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Pearl Wheeler Bush and his wife Martha Nell Bush. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father, Lonnie H. Bush of Huntingdon; one brother, Hulon Bush of Paris; two sisters, Carolyn Loggans of Huntingdon and Jean Rodrigues of Paris.
Dilday Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Billy Ray Edwards
1931-2005
LEESVILLE, LOUISIANA: Services for retired Lt. Col. Billy Ray Edwards, 74, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, at Chase Funeral Home with Rev. John D. Small. Interment icon will follow in New Hope cemetery in Yuma.
Mr. Edwards, formerly of Yuma, died Sunday, May 15, at his residence in Leesville, Louisiana.
He retired from the United States Army as a lieutenant colonel after 24 years of service, including duty in Korea and Vietnam. Military medals and commendations include the Purple Heart, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal, four Overseas Service Bars, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Parchutist Badge, Commendation Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korea Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Employment Security after 30 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Rushworth of Leesville, Louisiana, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Paul James Edwards, and his parents, Floyd Edwards and Evojean Bolen Edwards.

Shirley Frances Manning
1939-2004
GLEASON - Services for Shirley Frances Manning, 65, were at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, January 2, at Gleason First Pentecostal Church with Bro. Kenneth Jessee officiating. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery.
Mrs. Manning died Thursday, December 30, at her residence.
She was born March 18, 1939, in McKenzie, to the late William Harvey and Eula May Orr Morris. She was a member of Gleason First Pentecostal Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Bill F. Manning; a son, Chris Manning of Nortonville, Kentucky; four daughters: Debra Minga, Teresa Gearin and Bobbie Doyer, all of Gleason, and Fran Kraus of Clarksville; three brothers: Thomas Morris of Greenfield and Edward Morris and Jessie Morris, both of Dresden; three sisters: Barbara Nunnery of Gleason, Mildred Dunning of Union City and Valda Jones of Tuscon, Arizona; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hester Wilson Killingsworth.

Mable L. Reagan
1918-2005
MEMPHIS - Graveside services for Mable L. Regan, 86, were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 28 at Hampton cemetery.
Mrs. Reagan, a retired employee of Piccadilly Cafeteria, died Friday, March 25, at Delta Medical Center in Memphis.
Survivors include one daughter, Anita Moore; one son, Steven Reagan; and one grandson, all of Memphis.

James Eugene Bell
1932-2005
MEMPHIS - Graveside services for James Eugene Bell, 72, were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 25 at Jones cemetery at Parkers Crossroads with Brother Bill Crossno officiating.
Mr. Bell died Tuesday, March 22, at Methodist Central in Memphis.
He was born April 4, 1932 to the late Ervin and Della Richardson Bell. He was a retired construction worker and attended Berclair Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Pearcey Bell, three sisters and two brothers.

Relda Lue Leveridge Wadkins
1904-2005
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA: Relda Lue Leveridge, 101, died Wednesday, November 16, at Sunrise of Raleigh. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. November 22 at Pleasant Grove cemetery in Trezevant. Brummitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wadkins was born April 23, 1904, in Nora, Kentucky, to the late Thomas Jefferson and Relda Jane Shelton. She was a sales clerk for Roses and Ivey's and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC.
She is survived by one brother, Charles Leveridge of Newport News, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Wadkins.

James "Pete" Paul Hamlett
1927-2005
ATWOOD - James "Pete" Paul Hamlett, 78, died Friday, November 11, at his home. Services were held November 13 at Munford Funeral Home, Millington Chapel, with interment icon in Northridge Woodhaven cemetery.
Mr. Hamlett was a U.S. Army veteran and a deacon at First Baptist Church of Atwood.
He leaves his wife, Charlene Hamlett of Atwood; two daughters, Peggy Jo Hamlett of Atwood and Karen Leigh (Dean) Goodman of Millington; a son, Terry Paul (Donna) Hamlett of Huntingdon; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jerry Glen Mitchell
1937-2005
McKENZIE - Jerry Glen Mitchell, 68, died Thursday, November 17 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services were conducted November 20 at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield with Bro. Bob Conley officiating. Interment icon was in Pleasant Grove cemetery in Greenfield.
Mr. Mitchell was born August 19, 1937, in Greenfield, to the late Talma and Brooksie Knott Mitchell. He was an army veteran and was an employee of the Milan Arsenal. He attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Doris Ann Cooper Mitchell; two daughters, Jere Michelle (Mitchell) Mitchell of Nashville, Sabrina (Jason) Young of Jackson; two sons, Jeffrey R (Carol Ann) Mitchell of Maryville and Gregory L. (Teresa) Mitchell of Clarksville; three sisters, Faye Arrington of Bradford, Sandra Colburn of Nashville, and Joan Stephens of Fairview; three brothers, Ray Mitchell of Bradford, Charlie Mitchell of Greenfield and Larry Dean Mitchell of Southaven, MS; and six grandchildren.

Bobby Joe Pendergrass
1935-2005
HUNTINGDON - Bobby Joe Pendergrass, 70, died Saturday, November 19 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Maness officiating. Interment icon will follow in the church cemetery. Dilday Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pendergrass was born June 30, 1935, in Cedar Grove, to the late John and Edith Scott Pendergrass. He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company and a member of the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Waddell, and a brother, Aurthur Pendergrass.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Hammond of Memphis; two sons, Bobby Joe Pendergrass Jr. and Stuart Pendergrass, both of Huron, Ohio; three sisters, Willodean Roberts and Judy Lynch, both of Memphis and Norma McKinney, of Huron, Ohio; a brother, Jerry Pendergrass of Atwood; three grandchildren; and great-grandson.

Katie Arnold Sellers
MILAN - Katie Arnold Sellers, 78, died Friday, September 29 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Services were conducted at Bodkin Funeral Home in Gibson County with Elder Edward Harris officiating.
Mrs. Sellers was retired from Milan Mills and was a Primitive Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Sellers, and her parents, Erby Lee Arnold and Allie B. Pratt.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Churchwell of McKenzie; one brother, Bobby Gene Arnold of Memphis; one sister, Thelma McCartney of Galt, California; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
