Harold Blakemore
1917-2005
PARIS - Harold Blakemore, 87, died Thursday, September 28, at the Henry County Medical Center. Services were held October 4 in the LeDon Chapel at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with burial in Hillcrest cemetery. Dennis Kinnan and Jeremy Baseman officiated the service.
Mr. Blakemore was a retired purchasing agent for Gaines Manufacturing Co.
He was a member of Nondenominational Christian Fellowship in Paris.
He is survived by two daughters, Alda Blakemore and Ann Blakemore of Paris; one son, Terry Blakemore of McKenzie; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Willhyte Finch Blakemore; his wife, Myrtle May Terry Blakemore; and two brothers, Lloyd and Chester Blakemore.

Beulah Marie Scott Anderson
1915-2005
ARDMORE: Mrs. Beulah Marie Scott Anderson, 90, formerly of Clarksburg, died Friday, September 30, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski.
Services were conducted Monday, October 3, at 1:00 p.m. at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Interment icon was in Sellers Hill cemetery. Bro. Martin Klamm officiated the service.
Mrs. Anderson was born May 18, 1915, in Carroll County, to the late Early and Callie (Williams) Scott. She was a retired factory worker for the Henry I. Seigel Company after 28 years of service and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alex Anderson, who passed away in 1990.
She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Eaton of Ardmore, Alabama; one son, Larry Anderson of Jackson; one brother, Warren G. Scott of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Roy W. Hatch
1918-2005
YUMA - Mr. Roy W. Hatch, 87, died Thursday, September 29, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 1, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in the New Hope cemetery in Yuma. Brother John D. Small officiated the services.
Mr. Hatch was born May 26, 1918, in Madison County, to the late Clarence and Cova Greener Hatch. He was a retired ground man for TVA, and a deacon at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Vernie Hatch, who passed away March 17, 2003; three sisters: Beatrice Whitaker, Lillian Umstead, and Lorene Cary; and a brother, James Hatch.
He is survived by one daughter, Norma Baker of Huntingdon, and a sister, Edith Dyer of Milan.

Robin Dianne Lowe
1953-2005
HOLLOW ROCK - Mrs. Robin Dianne Lowe, 52, died Saturday, October 1, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Monday, October 3, at Dilday Funeral Home East Room. Interment icon was in the Hebron cemetery. Brother Kenneth Frazee officiated the services.
Mrs. Lowe was born September 28, 1953, in Milan, to the late George and Era Mae Noles Grooms. She was a member of the New Crossroads Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth "Fish" Lowe; two sons, Joshua Lawton and Anthony Lawrence; three step-daughters: Tabatha, Sandy, and Mary; four sisters; three brothers; and eight grandchildren.

Dianne Pearson
1955-2005
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Dianne Pearson, 50, died Saturday, October 1, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 6, at 1:00 p.m. at the Smyrna Baptist Church. Interment icon will follow in the Humbles cemetery. Rev. Ivy Jamison will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
She is survived by her husband, Lender Pearson, and two daughters, all of Huntingdon.

Billy Joe White
1935-2005
Trezevant: Mr. Billy Joe White, 70, died Thursday, September 29 at his residence. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 1, at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Latham officiating. Burial was in Howse cemetery.
Mr. White, a retired electronics engineer for ITT and owner of the Service Center, was born September 11, 1935, in Franklin, to the late Margie Hamm White and Troy White. He was a member of the Howse Baptist Church in Atwood.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Allen White; a son, Billy Wayne White of Trezevant; a sister, Geraldine Taylor of Camden; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray White.

Etta Modene Vandyke
1912-2005
McKENZIE - Mrs. Etta Modene Vandyke, 93, died Thursday, September 29 at North Brook Nursing Facility in Jackson. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 1, at Shiloh cemetery. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Vandyke, a retired retail sales person, was born August 21, 1912, in Henry County, to the late Lucy Reynolds McBride and John McBride. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McKenzie.
She leaves a step-son, Tommy Vandyke, of Paris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Vandyke and three brothers: Claude McBride, Carl McBride and Charles McBride.

Vonnell Nell Aden
1923-2005
OXFORD, MS: Mrs. Vonnell Nell Aden, 82, died Monday, September 26, in Oxford, Mississippi. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 29, at Dilday Funeral Home East Room. Interment icon followed in the Prospect cemetery.
Mrs. Aden was born April 10, 1923, to the late Samuel and Ollie Mae Hedgepath. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Eugene Aden.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Lewis, of Oxford; a son, Tommy Aden of Perrysburg, Ohio; two sisters, Pearl Neely and Eura Robinson, both of Huntingdon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Larry Brock
1936-2005
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Larry Brock, 68, died Saturday, September 24, at his home.
Mr. Brock was born October 14, 1936, in Kentucky, to the late Larry Albert and Nancy Segraves Brock, Sr. He was a self-employed roofer.
He is survived by four children: Larry A. Brock, Jr., Richard Brock, Phillip Brock and Sarah Brock.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Jo Mallard
1935-2005
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Betty Jo Mallard, 70, died Sunday, October 2, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 4, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment icon was in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Dan Winkler officiated the service.
Mrs. Mallard was born February 13, 1935, in Carroll County, to the late Robert J. Walker and Carrie Otera (Pritchard) Walker. She was a retired factory worker for the Milan Arsenal and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard L. Walker.
She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Darnell, and one grandson, both of Huntingdon.

Novalin Knott Johnson
1915-2005
ATWOOD - Mrs. Novalin Knott Johnson, 90, died Friday, September 30, at NHC Healthcare in Milan. Funeral services were held Monday, October 3, at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with the Revs. Larry Stricklin and Thomas Barber officiating. Burial was in Pisgah cemetery in Atwood.
Mrs. Johnson, a homemaker, was born February 13, 1915, in Gibson County, to the late Walter A. Knott and Pearl Grooms. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atwood.
Survivors include three daughters: Marie Stricklin Hall of Milan, and Barbara Guy and Kay Johnson Trull, both of Atwood; a brother, Malcolm Knott of Paris; two sisters, Dorothy Vancover of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Alta Mae Pounds of California; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Johnson; a son, Charles Johnson; a daughter, Joyce Ricketts; and a grandchild, Robert Glen Johnson.

Willie W. Bates
1923-2005
PHIL CAMPBELL, ALA - Mr. Willie W. Bates, 82, died Saturday, October 1, in Alabama. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5, at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, Alabama, with burial in Old Town Creek Church cemetery in Moulton. Bros. Raymond Martin and Wayne Boyles will officiate the service.
Mr. Bates was born January 9, 1923, in Centerville, Tennessee. He lived in Phil Campbell 12 years and previously resided in Joliet, Il. For 33 years. He was a World War II Army-Air Force veteran. He retired in 1986 after 34 years with Fisher Body, a division of General Motors in Willow Spings, Il.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Joseph Clinton Bates and Vernia Azlee Curry Bates, and a sister, Ruby Bates.
He/she is survived by his wife, Mae Eloise Little Bates of Phil Campbell; a daughter, Annette Bates of Elwood, Il.; a son, Philip Bates of Phil Campbell; a sister-in-law; one niece; and two nephews.
