Bonnie Lee Moore Crocker
1918-2003
TREZEVANT - Funeral services for Bonnie Lee Moore Crocker, 85, were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Lavinia with burial in the church cemetery. She was a resident of the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation for the past three years.
She was born in Huntingdon Beach, California on March 20, 1918 to the late John Sargent Moore and Ruby Cleo Leach Moore. She was one of ten children and one of three who were born in California before the family returned to their home in Carroll County.
She married James William Crocker, who preceded her in death, in Atwood August 3, 1935. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Trelba Bennet, a son, William; three brothers, John Curtis Moore, Daniel Cleo Moore and George Ray Moore and two sisters, Mary Merle Moore Dunlap and Elizabeth Caroline Moore.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Mitchell of Hackleburg, Alabama and Kay VanDerRoest of Trezevant; one son, Jim Crocker of Lawton, Michigan; one brother, Robert Ralph Moore of Huntingdon; three sisters, Ellawayne Fischer of Lacey, Washington, Lois Lusk of Milan and Maxine Price of Milan; six grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant was in charge of the arrangements.

HOWARD ARCHIE NOLEN
1984 - 2003
McKENZIE - Howard Archie Nolen, 19, was pronounced dead on arrival at McKenzie Regional Hospital following a motorcycle accident Tuesday, July 8. Services will be held Saturday, July 12 at 2 p.m. at Greater Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie. Rev. James H. Stewart will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater Enon Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie with Trinity Funeral Home of Paris in charge.
Mr. Nolen graduated from McKenzie High School in 2002. He was a member of Greater Enon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Gloria Gibbs Nolen and George Nolen Jr. of McKenzie, and one sister, Harriet Nolen of McKenzie.

James Doyle Lowe
1929-2003
HOLLOW ROCK - Services for James Doyle Lowe, 74, were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 7 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Rich officiating. Burial was in the New Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Lowe, retired production worker for Walbosh Box Company, died on Friday, July 4 at Life Care Center in Bruceton.
He was born June 10, 1929 in Hollow Rock to the late Curtis Riley Lowe and Merlie May Rogers Lowe. He was a navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Lowe; two sons, James Robert Lowe and Timothy Doyle Lowe, both of Hollow Rock; two brothers, Harold Lowe of Camden and John Lowe of Huntingdon.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Kay Lowe.

Annie Gladys Dennison
1910-2003
LAVINIA - Services for Annie Gladys Dennison, 92, were at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 4 at the Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in the Shiloh cemetery near Lavinia.
Mrs. Dennison, retired employee of HIS died on Tuesday, July 1 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Haywood Dennison and was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Bray.
Survivors include a daughter, Eloise Dennison Baumgardner of Lavinia; a brother, Lonnie Bray of Lavinia; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Jane Ann Miller
1928-2003
BRUCETON - Services for Jane Ann Miller, 74, were at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ted Gentle officiating. Burial was in the Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Miss Miller, retired legal secretary for Hanover and Walsh Law Firm in Memphis, died Thursday, July 3 at Alive Hospice Friends for Life in Nashville.
She was born November 14, 1928 to the late Wall Grady Miller and Willie Truman Lancaster Miller. She was a member of the Bruceton Church of Christ.
Survivors include a sister Lou Nell Elkins of Bruceton; two nephews and two nieces.
Miss Miller was preceded in death by a brother Max Miller and a nephew David Elkins.

J.W. Hopper
1926-2003
GLEASON - Services for J.W. Hopper, 76, were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6 at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Auvenshine officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Hopper, retired employee of Southern Star Sawmill, died Thursday, July 3 at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
He was born November 7, 1926 in Trezevant to the late William Clint and Martha Jane Hargrove Hopper. He was a member of the Trezevant First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, David Hopper of McKenzie, Tommy Hopper of Gleason and Don Hopper of Greenfield; two daughters, Brenda Nelson of Greenfield and Rose Anderson of Gleason; two brothers, Hollis Hopper of McKenzie and Carlos Wade Hopper of Memphis; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Hopper; two brothers, Elvin Hopper and Leo Hopper and a sister, Lizzie Chandler.

J.B. DePriest
1915-2004
TREZEVANT - Services for J.B. DePriest, 88, were at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 7 at Bodkin Funeral Home. Burial was in the Hopewell cemetery.
Mr. DePriest, a retired Milan Arsenal employee, died on Monday, July 5 at his daughter's home in Jackson. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lerie DePriest.
Survivors include one daughter, July Carr of Jackson; one son, Jerry DePriest of Trezevant; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.

James L. Hudson
1914-2004
McKENZIE - Memorial services for James L. Hudson, 89, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Revs. Jim McGuire, Robert Hull and Dr. Robert Prosser officiating.
Mr. Hudson, retired from Bethel College, died on Monday, July 5 at his residence. He attended Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was a volunteer at McKenzie Regional Hospital and was a Bethel alumni and volunteer. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was born in 1914 to the late Effie Coleman Hudson and Charles Lee Hudson. His wife, Lena Marie Esry Hudson preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Hudson of Maryville and Ronnie Hudson of McKenzie; one sister, Virginia Tidwell of Memphis; one brother, Charles Hudson of McKenzie.

Wesley Phillip Flatt
1952-2004
MILAN - Graveside services for Wesley Phillip Flatt, 51, were held on Sunday, July 4 at Gibson County Memory Gardens in Gibson. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Flatt, a roofer, died at his residence on Friday, July 2.
He was born November 19, 1952 in Sweet Lips to the late Clarence Allen Flatt and Cora Flatt of Milan, who survives.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Helen Flatt of Milan; four sons, Shawn Flatt of Huntingdon and Matthew Flatt, Jason Flatt and Johnathan Flatt, all of Milan; one sister, Paula Pittson of Trenton; and five brothers, Joe Flatt of Paris, Gerald Flatt and Tim Flatt of Milan, Terry Flatt of McKenzie and Patrick Flatt of Trenton.

Roxie P. Harris
1915-2004
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Roxie P. Harris, 90, died Monday, July 5 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Huntingdon Christian Fellowship Church with Brother Troy Cox officiating. Interment icon followed in the Parker's Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Harris was born April 19, 1915 in Carroll County to the late Felix and Rubie Staten Parker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Huntingdon Christian Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hurley Harris and three daughters, Nell Parker, Lera Mae Clemons and Alma Ruth Holloway.
Survivors include a daughter, Lizzie Mae Taylor of Huntingdon; one brother, Laborn Parker of Huntingdon; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Audrain 'Jack' Melton
1932-2004
WILDERSVILLE - Mr. Audrain 'Jack' Melton, 72, died on Friday, July 9 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David McCraney officiating. Interment icon followed in the Hopewell cemetery.
Mr. Melton was born May 18, 1932 in Carroll County to the late Jackson Staten and Bessie Melton. He was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nell Melton and two brothers, Jake Staten and Jim Staten.
Survivors include two sisters, Rosie Marie Rivers of Wildersville and Catherine Park of Huntingdon and a host of nieces and nephews.

James Ralph Holland
1929-2004
McLEMORESVILLE - Mr. James Ralph Holland, 75, died on Friday, July 9 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, July 11 at 3:00 p.m. in the McLemoresville United Methodist Church with Reverend Debora Christiansen and Reverend James Bittner officiating. Interment icon followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements
Mr. Holland was born June 24, 1929 in Carroll County to the late Wylie and Ora Pafford Holland. He was an army veteran, retired from the Milan Arsenal and was a member of the McLemoresville United Methodist Church, American Legion and McLemoresville Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by two sister, Christine Barker and Margaret Sutton and six brothers, Curlie Holland, Harold Holland, Lindell Holland, Tillman Holland, Sherman Holland and Layman Holland.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Annie Mae Pugh Holland; two sons, Larry Holland of the Mixie Community and Jerry Holland of McLemoresville; one sister, Mildred Kelly of McLemoresville; one brother, Bill Holland of Huntingdon; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
