VIRGINIA HARDY
1919 -2008
CLARKSBURG - Virginia Hardy, 89, died Friday, June 20, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Sunday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at Clarksburg Church of Christ with Bro. Billy Ringold and Bro. Martin Klamm officiating. Burial followed in Sellers Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Hardy was born February 23, 1919 to the late Neal Anderson and Sudie Johnson Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Roosevelt Hardy; two granddaughters, five sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include: four daughters, Barbara (Gene) Perry of Clarksburg, Bonnie Parrish of Jackson, Brenda (Billy) Beasley and Betty Carroll, both of Camden; three sons, Bobby (Janie) Hardy of Huntingdon, Bennie Hardy of Clarksburg, and Billy (Donna) Hardy of Milan; one sister, Edith Stockdale of Henry; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

NORMAN D. LESLIE
1935 - 2008
WESTPORT: Norman D. Leslie, 73, died Friday, June 20, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Sunday, June 22, at 4 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. James Stewart, Bro. Johnny Boyd and Bro. Toby Swinford officiating. Burial followed in Jamison cemetery.
Mr. Leslie was born April 14, 1935 in Westport to the late Graydon Leslie and Flora Duke Leslie. He was employed by the Carroll County Electric Department as a meter reader, a member of the Westport Missionary Baptist Church and member of the Clarksburg Ruritan Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Leslie, Sr.
Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Brenda Leslie; one daughter, Tammy (Trey) Crews of Yuma; one son, David (Gennifer) Leslie of Lexington; and five grandchildren.

FRANCES L. EDMUNDSON
1917 - 2008
HUNTINGDON - Frances L. Edmundson, 90, died Thursday, June 19, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Sunday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at Huntingdon First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Cooper and Dr. William P. Bailey, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Edmundson was born August 2, 1917 at the Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville to the late William M. Lantrip and Pearl McClurkan Lantrip. She was a lifelong United Methodist with her membership presently being at the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Huntingdon Women's Club and Annie Maude Smith Circle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Lantrip and Clifford Lantrip; and two sisters, Mildred Countzler and Henrietta O'Brien.
Survivors include: two daughters, Paula (Dr. Jerry) Atkins of Huntingdon and Mildred Ballinger of Franklin; one sister, Billieanne Todd of Franklin; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

FRANCES JEANETTE "PINKY" TEAGUE
1956-2008
HOLLOW ROCK - Frances Jeanette "Pinky" Teague, 52, died Wednesday, June 18, at her home. Funeral services were Monday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Hollow Rock with Rev. Rodney Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Nebo Pisgah cemetery.
Mrs. Teague was born April 29, 1956 in Carroll County to the late Carrie Helen (Jamison) Webb and Matheola Gordon. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church of Hollow Rock, worked for 26 years for H.I.S. and seven years for NWTHR as a caretaker for the elderly. She was married to Larry Teague, Sr. on July 20, 1974.
Survivors include: her four children; Julia (Anthony) Johnson of Jackson, Ja-rodd of Huntingdon, Larry Teague, Jr. of Hollow Rock, and Marquita Teague of McKenzie; two stepdaughters, Shanna Easley and Sonya Easley; five brothers, Jessie (Cynthia) Webb of Fulton, Kentucky, Arthur Paul (Stephanie) Webb of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Riley (Kim) Webb of McLemoresville, Michael Gordon and Jobie Gordon, both of Huntingdon; and four grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LARRY "BUTCH" DOBSON, SR.
1946-2008
CAMDEN - Larry "Butch" Dobson, Sr., 61, formerly of Hollow Rock, died Thursday, June 19, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were Sunday, June 22, at Bruceton Funeral Home with Dr. Chester Harrison officiating. Burial followed in Dobson cemetery in Camden.
Mr. Dobson was born December 14, 1946 in Dade City, Florida. He was the owner/manager of Midway Materials, Inc., former Alderman and Mayor of Hollow Rock, member of International T-Bird Club and the Tennessee Ready Mix Association. He was preceded in death by his father, G.O. Dobson, Sr. and one grandson.
Survivors include: his wife, Judy Dobson of Camden; one daughter, Tyanna Dobson Ragsdale of Hollow Rock; one son, Larry (Amy) Dobson, Jr. of Camden; his mother, Marcell Dobson of Hollow Rock; one brother, G.O. "Junior: Dobson of Camden; and four grandchildren.

MICHAEL BRYANT
1960-2008
BRUCETON - Michael Bryant, 47, died Saturday, June 21, at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Rev. James Daniel and Rev. Jerry Woods officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens in McKenzie.
Mr. Bryant was born June 27, 1960 in Jackson. He was a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Bennett Bryant of Bruceton; his parents, Nancy Park Bryant of Bruceton and Bobby Bryant of Milan; one son, Nick Bryant of Bruceton; and one stepdaughter, Jessica Reed.

JAYNE SMITH LOVINS
1926-2008
NEW CONCORD, KENTUCKY: Jayne Smith Lovins, 82, died Sunday, June 22, at her home. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 25, at 2 p.m. at Mansfield Baptist Church with Eugene Burkeen officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Louvins was born January 23, 1926 in Cottage Grove to the late Harvey Destie West and Cora Alice Boyd West. She was retired from Emerson Electric Company and a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Murray, Kentucky. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Edwin Smith and Rainey Lovins; two sisters, Willie Faye Bauer and Betty Jean Hughes; and four brothers, Elmer, Ralph, Leonard, and J.C. West.
Survivors include: two daughters, Kareen Duncan of New Concord, Kentucky and Crystal Marie Pollock of Paris; three sons, Roger Smith of Paris, Harvey Mitchell Smith of Houston, Texas, and Marvin Douglas (Millie) Smith of Henry; three sisters, Ruby Evitts of Paducah, Kentucky, Bonnie Mohundro and Jonelie Drenner, both of Murray, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JAMES A. DEVAULT
1942-2008
COCOA, FLORIDA - James A. Devault, 65, died of cardiac arrest on May 12 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Florida. By Jim's request there will be no formal memorial service.
Mr. Devault was born October 24, 1942 in Milan to the late Julian H. and Mary Ruth Devault.
He graduated from McKenzie High School in 1960 and Tennessee Technological University in 1965 with a BSEE degree. He was employed by the U.S. Air Force in Mobile, Alabama from 1965-1968 and by NASA, Kennedy Space Center from 1968-2002 as a communications engineer for the Space Program.
Survivors include: one sister, Elaine Devault of McKenzie.
Wylie-Baxley Rockledge Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

HATTIE JANE HINSON
1912-2008
McKENZIE - Hattie Jane Hinson, 95, died Monday, June 23, at Chester County Healthcare. Funeral services are Thursday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in McKenzie with Bro. Fred Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Hinson, a homemaker, was born September 8, 1912 in Linden to the late Henry Grimes and Addie Talbert Grimes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Hinson; and three sons, Jarrell, Clay and Vance Hinson.
Survivors include: one son, Roland Hinson of Huntingdon; one daughter, Christine Lee of Jackson; two sisters, Ruth Ramer of Joelton and Blanche Rossi of Fishskill, New York; 23 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, from 9 a.m. until service time at Grace Baptist Church.
Brummitt Funeral Home of McKenzie is in charge of arrangements.

JAMES E. MCKEE
1923-2008
MEMPHIS - James E. McKee, 74, died Thursday, May 1, at his home. Funeral services were Monday, May 5, at 1 p.m at Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Germantown.
Mr. McKee was born October 2, 1923 to the late John Nevins and Vera Tase McKee in Newbern. He was a part of the 14th Armored Division in WW II fighting at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a teacher, coach of basketball and football, and President of Bethel College. He retired from the State Department of Education in 1988.
Survivors include: his wife, Margaret Scott McKee; two daughters, Lila (Roger) Piercey and Marga McKee; one son, Scott (Weilin) McKee; two brothers, Raymond McKee and Harold McKee; two sisters, Lorene Wilson and LaGreda Roberts; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Bethel College.

WOODROW WILSON ENOCHS
1916-2008
HUNTINGDON - Woodrow Wilson Enochs, 91, died Sunday, May 18, at his home. Funeral services were Thursday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Clark officiating. Burial followed in Jamison cemetery.
Mr. Enochs was born August 6, 1916 in Westport to the late Gabriel Commodore Enochs and Era Rebecca (Tucker) Enochs. He was a farmer and a member of Westport Church of Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Lynn Enochs, seven brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: his wife of 67 years, Mary Ruth Enochs; two daughters, Emily Atkins of Waynesville, North Carolina and Nancy (Prentice) Ursery of Ft. Worth, Texas; one sister, Oletha Darnall of Huntingdon; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

ALBERT HENRY BARMORE
1945-2008
BRUCETON - Albert Henry Barmore, 63, died Thursday, May 22, at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Rev. Rufus Anderson officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
Mr. Barmore was born January 1, 1945 to the late Albert Henry Barmore and Aril Bell Barmore. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, a Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Camden and was employed by Barger Construction Company until his death. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Palmer Lee Dupree Barmore.
Survivors include: two sons, Albert Henry (Jennie) Barmore, Jr. of Bruceton and Michael Lynn (Cheryl) Barmore of Huntingdon; three brothers, Russel (Beverly) Barmore, Phil (Ann) Barmore, and Robert (Florine) Barmore; one sister, Floriene (Zack) Booth; and three grandchildren.

LUCILLE MERRITT
1917-2008
HUNTINGDON - Lucille Merritt, 90, died Saturday, May 24, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were Sunday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at Christian Chapel Church of Christ with Dennis Sellers and Doug Sellers officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Merritt was born November 4, 1917 in Carroll County to the late Clifford Eskew and Bessie (Kelly) Eskew. She was a retired presser operator for the Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Merritt; and one brother, J. T. Eskew.
Survivors include: one daughter, Bennie (Harlan) Wilcox of Huntingdon; and one sister, Nellie Sellers of Huntingdon.
