ATWOOD - Services for Annie Lucille Johnson Gowan, 89, were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with the Rev. Ron Corder officiating. Interment
followed in Hopewell cemetery in Lavinia.
Mrs. Gowan, a homemaker, died on Sunday, April 10, at Milan General Hospital.
She was born January 20, 1916, in Gibson County to the late Erner Johnson and Nannie Moore Johnson. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Milan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Etheridge Gowan. There were no immediate survivors.
Faye Anderson Vines

HUNTINGDON - Services for Faye Anderson Vines, 73, were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Mulliken officiating. Interment
followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Vines died Sunday, April 10, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Serl Anderson. She was a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Vines of Huntingdon; one daughter, Jan Foster of Louisville, Kentucky; three sons, Max Anderson of Cedar Grove, Don Anderson of Nashville and Jerry Anderson of Winchester; one brother, Roy E. Hopper of Huntingdon; and four grandchildren.
Ruby Evelyn Milam

CEDAR GROVE - Mrs. Ruby Evelyn Milam, 87, died Monday, August 8, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment
will follow in the Morning Sun cemetery, Rev. Barry Huddleston will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
Mrs. Milam was born April 18, 1918, in Carroll County, to the late Riley J. Milam and Mary Birdie (Piggue) Milam. She was retired from the Nugent & Co., Inc. and worked the Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center and the Lexington Manor Nursing Home after retirement. She was a member of the Morning Sun United Methodist Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ondeen Williams

BUENA VISTA - Mrs. Ondeen Williams, 94, died Friday, August 12, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment
followed in McAuley cemetery. Brother Paul Merwin officiated the services.
Mrs. Williams was born October 25, 1920, in Carroll County, to the late Joe and Mary Wilson. She was a retired employee of Henry I. Siegel and a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Williams; three sisters, Jewell Reeder, Ollie Brinkley and Kathleen Moore; and three brothers, Floyd Wilson, Luther Wilson and G.J. "Jim" Wilson.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Clendenin of Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Shepherd was born June 21, 1988, in Jackson. He was a former student at West Carroll. He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Powers Shepherd.
He is survived by his father, Danny Shepherd; a brother, Rusty Shepherd of Trezevant; maternal grandparents, James and Bobbie Powers of Milan; and paternal grandparents, Mark and Carolyn Cornell of Huntingdon, and Glenn and Brenda Shepherd of Erin.

Mr. Shepherd was born May 1, 1983, in Jackson. He was a diesel mechanic for Tosh Farms. He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Powers Shepherd.

Lillie Ruth Diggs

PARIS - Funeral services for Lillie Ruth Diggs were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 14, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Paris.
The Revs. M.A. Richardson and Clarence Walker officiated. Burial followed in Union Grove Church cemetery at Puryear.
Mrs. Diggs, 57, died of lung cancer Thursday, August 11, at Henry County Medical Center.
Born April 19, 1948, in Camden, she was the daughter of the late George Doss Tharpe and Gertrude Louise Travis Tharpe. She was the widow of Melvin Douglas Diggs. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lottie Lea Tharpe.
She leaves a son, Marvin Diggs of Paris; four daughters, Regina Tharpe, Teresa Dunlap and Aleshia Crutchfield, all of Paris, and Tracie Webb of New Orleans; two sisters, Alma Jean Adkisson of Camden and Mary Louise Webb of McKenzie; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several other relatives.
Virgil Atlas Rimmer

ATWOOD - Virgil Atlas Rimmer, 83, of Atwood, died August 25 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Services were conducted August 27 at Bodkin Funeral Home with Bro. Vance Rushing officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah cemetery.
Mr. Rimmer was a retired farmer.
He is survived by five sons: Harold Rimmer, Dale Rimmer, and Randy Rimmer, all of Atwood, and Bobby Rimmer and Garry Rimmer of Trezevant; one daughter, Judy Bailey of Greenfield; one brother, Vern L "Johnny" Rimmer of McKenzie; one sister, Flossie Stockdale of Chicago, Illinois; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was precede in death by his wife, Estelle Rimmer, and one son, Donny Rimmer.
Halbert Earl Argo

MORRISTOWN - Halbert Earl Argo, age 85, died Sunday, August 28, at Lakeway Regional Hospital. He was born September 5, 1919 in Carroll County.
Graveside services for Mr. Argo will be Wednesday August 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie. Friends may call between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, at Mayes Mortuary in Morristown, 423-586-3211.
Mr. Argo was a resident of Morristown Senior Living Community, having previously resided in Anderson and Roane counties.
He was a United States Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was a charter member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Oak Ridge, Tenn. He was retired from Martin-Marietta in Oak Ridge and was a member of the F&AM Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Argo was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae; parents, Dave and Minnie Argo; sisters, Annie Bea Travis and Evora Rankin; and brother, David Argo.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby E. and Beverly Argo of Oliver Springs, Tenn. and Dwain D. and Ann Argo of Morristown; ex-wife Mildred Argo of Morristown; grandchildren, David Argo of Oliver Springs, Melissa Salva of Orlando, Florida, and Alison Langhan of Acworth, Georgia; special granddaughters and their husbands, Slone (Ernie) Turpin of Kingston, and Ashley (Michael) Greene of Morristown; sister-in-law Christine Argo of McKenzie; and brothers Lyndell and Bill Argo and sister-in-law Rowena Argo, all of McKenzie.

GLEASON - Ethel Marie Snider, 85, died Wednesday, August 17, at Van Ayer Manor in Martin. Funeral services were held Friday, August 19, at 1 p.m. at the Gallimore Funeral Home chapel in Gleason. Burial followed at Mt. Zion cemetery. Brother Ryan Potts officiated.
Mrs. Snider was a homemaker. She was born December 4, 1919, to the late William and Monia (Poole) McGehee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie B. Snider, and a sister, Myra McGehee.
Survivors include a son, Bill Snider of Gleason; a daughter, Sandra Stewart of Martin; a sister, Neely Lemons of Paris; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Agnes Coffman
CEDAR GROVE - Agnes Coffman, 74, died Sunday, August 28, at Henderson County Hospital. Funeral services are Tuesday, August 30, at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Coffman was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sisters: Arthurleen Gateley of Cedar Grove and Voncille Moore of Lexington.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Hazel Meals and Willie Moore, and two brothers: Henry Coffman and Woodrow Coffman.

Mr. Rodriguez, a retired presser for HIS died on Saturday, September 27 at Life Care Center in Bruceton.
He was born May 18, 1940 in Albonito, Puerto Rico to the late Justino and Maria Pia Rodriquez. He was a member of the Faith Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nan Wright Rodriguez; two daughters, Wanda Murphy of Goose Creek, South Carolina and Synthia Gallas of Cummings, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Paula Hollowell of Westport and Yvette Burk of Sevierville; one son, William O. Rodriguez of Camden; one stepson, Mark Turner of McDonough, Georgia; one half brother, Henry Rivera of Davenport, Florida; and nine grandchildren.
