Carol Nadine Braden

BRUCETON - Services for Carol Nadine Braden, 71, were on Sunday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Interment icon followed at Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Braden, a retired seamstress for H.I.S. Co., Inc., died on Thursday, December 18 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She was born on March 25, 1932 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia to the late Arlen Williams and Ina Stover Williams. She was a member of Summersville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Carl F. Braden, Sr.; two daughters, Carol Ann Braden of Antioch and Deborah Cochran of Union City; one son, Carl F. Braden Jr. of Hebron, Kentucky; and two brothers, Douglas M. Williams of Pennsylvania and Gary Williams of Levitown, Pennsylvania.

Callie Lee Cook Bartholomew
1906-2003
TREZEVANT - Services for Callie Lee Cook Bartholomew, 97, formerly of Milan, were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27 at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Bro. Paul Merwin officiating. Interment icon followed a the Lavinia cemetery in Lavinia.
Mrs. Bartholomew, a homemaker, died on Wednesday, December 24 at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
She was born on July 2, 1906 in Lavinia to the late Bob and Claud Barnett Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Bartholomew; one son, Clifton Seavers; one daughter, Frances Seavers and one grandchild.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Anne Seavers of Trezevant; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret Emily Dailey Ruiz
1941-2003
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO: Emily Dailey Ruiz, 62, was born in McKenzie to the late Horace and Georgia Dailey. She was a 1961 graduate of McKenzie High School and was a nurse for 15 years. She died on Friday, December 26 in New Mexico following a short illness.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Gorden of Chicago, Illinois and Kevin Ruiz of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two grandchildren, a sister, Mary Webb of Hollow Rock and one brother, Carl Dailey of Paris.

Garland D. Moore
1937-2003
MEMPHIS - Mr. Garland D. Moore, 66, died on Thursday, December 25 at his home. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ken Dyson officiating. Interment icon followed in Hickory Flatt cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born on October 7, 1937 to the late William Hall and Mollie Odell Douglas Moore. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jody Beth Moore.
Survivors include five daughters, Shelly Selby of Danville, Kentucky, Garla Dawn Thomas of Cedar Grove, Barbara Hill and Beverly Rogers, both of Memphis and Charlotte Snead of Missouri; four sons, Garland D. Moore II of Cedar Grove, Douglas Fry of Florida, Barry Barber of Yuma and Jimmy Barber of Kentucky; two sisters, Teresa Chandler of Cedar Grove and Ramona Hendon of McKenzie and fourteen grandchildren.

John Leroy Fulton Beam III
1968-2003
BRAZIL, INDIANA: John Leroy Fulton Beam III, 35, died on Thursday, December 18.
He was born May 10, 1968 in Elgin, Illinois to John and LaRue Shirey Beam. He was a steel worker at CSI in Tennessee and Great Dane in Brazil. He was married to Sande Cubel of Brazil on May 12, 1994.
Survivors include his parents and wife; one son, John; one daughter, Hayley; four sister, Robin Ostrom and husband Wayne of Steamwood, Illinois, Gretchen Arneson and husband Bill of Gleason, Jennifer Shirley of Meadville, Pennsylvania and Amanda Shirey of Avonmore, Pennsylvania and two brothers, David Shirley and Damion Beam of Elgin, Illinois.
Graveside funeral services were conducted on Monday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Clearview cemetery. Moore Funeral Home assisted with funeral arrangements.

Charles Rodney Carroll
1936-2003
CEDAR GROVE - Mr. Charles Rodney Carroll, 67, passed away on Thursday, December 25 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Graveside memorial services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28 at the Ferguson cemetery with Bro. Robert Barger officiating.
Mr. Carroll was born on November 18, 1936 in Jackson to the late Henry Benton and Virgie Elizabeth Holder Carroll. He was a retired machine operator for the International Factory and was a member of the West Baptist Church in Jackson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Carroll and Gerald 'Shorty' Carroll.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Joann Carroll of Cedar Grove; three daughters, Rebecca Carroll, Patricia Carroll and Michelle Carroll, all of St. Cloud, Florida; two stepdaughters, Carmen Roach of Whitehouse and Christi Ingran of Lexington, Kentucky; one sister, Ramona Vaughn and one brother, William Carroll, both of Jackson.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Dennis Edison Jessee, Jr.
1954-2003
HOLLOW ROCK - Mr. Dennis Edison Jessee, Jr., 49, passed away on Friday, December 26 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Burton officiating. Interment icon followed in the Mixie cemetery.
Mr. Jessee was born June 13, 1954 in Royal, Michigan. He worked for the Town of Huntingdon in the Sanitation Department. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennie Edison Jessee.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Lee Robinson of Hollow Rock; two sons, Dennie Jessee III and Billy Leon Jessee, both of Huntingdon.

Joe Allen Prince
1918-2003
NEW CONCORD, KENTUCKY: Mr. Joe Allen Prince, 85, passed away on Monday, December 29 at the Murray Calloway Hospital in Murray, Kentucky. Graveside funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30 at the Oak Hill cemetery in Huntingdon with Pastor Jeff Jacob officiating.
Mr. Prince was born January 2, 1918 in Centerville to the late Allen Simpson and Maude Thompson Prince. He was a World War II United States Army Air Corps veteran and a retired control inspector for the Natural Gas Line. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Stella Stanley and one brother, Tom Prince.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Lowe Prince; three daughters, Dawn Mitchell of Murray, Kentucky, Melinda Warhurst of Tuscumbia, Alabama and Gail Inman of Woodbury and two brothers, Hugh Prince Pascagoula, Mississippi and James Prince of Columbia; three grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Stanley Eugene Woods
1953-2003
HUNTINGDON - Stanley Eugene Woods, 50, passed away on Monday, December 29 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 31 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Interment icon followed in the Christian Chapel cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Oak Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday after 5:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time for the services.
Stanley Woods was born January 12, 1953 in Huntingdon. He was the superintendent of the parks and cemeteries for the Town of Huntingdon and served in the United States Navy for four years. He was also a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Woods and Danny Woods.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Barbee Woods; one daughter, Tina Woods of California; two stepdaughters, Beverly Cole and Tammy (Landis, Jr.) Brown, both of Huntingdon; his mother, Estelle Roark of Huntingdon; his father, Herman Woods of Toone; two sisters, Linda (Edward) Brinkley of Huntingdon, Debbie (Chester) Baumgardner of Cedar Grove; two brothers, Michael (Joyce) Woods of Huntingdon and Randy Woods of Camden; three grandchildren, eleven nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews.

Joe Larry McDaniel
1948-2003
LEXINGTON - Services for Joe Larry McDaniel, 54, were held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 7 at Reed's Chapel in Lexington. Burial was in the Center Ridge cemetery.
Mr. McDaniel, a construction worker died on Wednesday, February 5 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He sustained severe burns while doing contract work at Norandal, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Carol McDaniel; one daughter, Shoral Horton of Lexington; two sons, Jamie McDaniel and Joey McDaniel, both of Lexington; four sisters, Debbie Urb of Ohio, Helen Edwards of Georgia, Jean Kyle of Lexington, and Joyce McDaniel of Ohio; one brother, Peter McDaniel of Lexington and one grandchild.

Olean Coleman
1933-2003
McKENZIE - Funeral services for Olean Coleman, 69, were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9 at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Dennis Beal and Bro. Tony Janner officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Coleman, a homemaker, died on Friday, February 7 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born on March 11, 1933 in McKenzie, a daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Ann Bowers.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon Coleman; two sons, Ricky Joe Coleman of Huntingdon and Kenneth Coleman of McKenzie; a daughter, Melissa Chandler of McKenzie and three grandchildren, Jeff Chandler, Christi Coleman and Tanner Coleman.

Nell Drinkard
1932-2003
HOLLOW ROCK - Services for Mrs. Nell Drinkard, 70, were at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 7 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Burial was in the New Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Drinkard died on Wednesday, February 5. She was the widow of Cortez Drinkard.
She was born on April 30, 1932 in Benton County to the late Algie Buron Jordan and Martha Gertrude Fields Jordan. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Gertie Forrest Baskin of McKenzie and Tammy Forrest Hollingsworth of Hollow Rock; two sons, Raymond Jordan of Hollow Rock and Wayne Forrest of Bruceton; two sisters, Garnetta Stagner of Hollow Rock and Irene Carey of Bruceton; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Annie Bell Craig
1914-2003
ATWOOD - Services for Mrs. Annie Bell Craig, 88, were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 3 at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with burial in the Salem cemetery.
Mrs. Craig, a retired nurse, died on Friday, January 31 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a member of the Atwood Church of Christ and the widow of C.C. Craig.
Survivors include a brother, Harold Barker of Friendship.
