Ollie L. Hill

McKENZIE - Services for Ollie L. Hill, 64, were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1 at Union Academy Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Campbell and Bro. Paul Merwin officiating. Burial was n the Union Academy Church cemetery.
Mr. Hill, a mechanic at Milan Arsenal, died on Tuesday, October 29.
He was born December 28, 1937 in Athens, Alabama to the late Fred Hill and Edith Kanup Hill. He was a member of the Union Academy Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Crocker Hill; a daughter, Brenda Stevens of Lexington, Kentucky; one son, Kevin Hill of McKenzie; three sisters, Beth Cowart of Hazel Green, Alabama, Birdie Lanier and Bertha Mae Bridgeman, both of Unionville, Missouri and one grandchild.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Elizabeth Faith Arnold
2002
Elizabeth Faith Arnold, two-month-old, died on Monday, November 2 at Methodist Lebohner in Memphis. Funeral services were conducted at three p.m., Monday, November 4 at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Ms. Arnold, the infant daughter of Shane and Chondra Hardwick Arnold, was born on August 12, 2002 in Memphis. Survivors include her parents, one half-sister, Ashland Faye Arnold of McKenzie; one half brother, Justin Haddakin of Dresden; one brother, Dallas Austin Arnold of McKenzie; grandparents Robert and Linda Garner of Gleason, Andrew Arnold of Martin, Marvin and Leslie Berryman of California; great-grandparents Virginia Faye Duckworth of McKenzie and Ward Arnold of McKenzie one aunt and two uncles.

William Henry Arnold
1938-2002
CEDAR GROVE - William Henry Arnold, 64, retired commander of the Memphis Police Department, died on Wednesday, October 30 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 1 at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with burial in Pisgah cemetery in Atwood.
He was born October 18, 1939 to the late Alonzo and Ollie B. Arnold. He was a member of the McLemoresville Baptist Church, Memphis Police Association and Fraternal Order of the Police.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Arnold, three daughters, Landa Ballard and Alane Thompson, both of Cedar Grove and Dena Simko of McLemoresville; a son, Cliff Arnold of Cedar Grove; a brother, Floyd Alonzo Arnold, Jr. of Bonneville, Illinois and seven grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be sent to McLemoresville Baptist Church Building Fund.

Carolyn Jane Brandon
1941-2002
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Carolyn Jane Brandon, 61, died on Thursday, October 31 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lloyd Ray Rich and Brother Earlie G. Lassater officiating. Interment icon followed at Liberty All cemetery.
Mrs. Brandon was born on August 29, 1941 in Carroll County to the late Benjamin Franklin and Jessie Lorene Wilson Crews. She was a nurse's aide at Oak Manor and a member of the Tates Pentecostal Church. A sister, Dorothy Jean Bolton; two brothers, Robert Franklin Crews and Raymond Earl Crews and a granddaughter, Jodie Marie Smith, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Brandon; two daughters, Sandra Hudgins and Melinda Carter, both of Huntingdon; one son, Kevin Smith of Gleason; two sisters, Sarah Ann Wallace of McKenzie and Wanda Harris of Alcoa; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Dr. Ricardo Sambat
1937-2002
HUNTINGDON - Dr. Ricardo Sambat, 65, died on Tuesday, December 17 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Edward Fisher officiating. Interment icon followed in the New Hope cemetery.
Dr. Sambat was born June 12, 1937 in Manila in the Philippines. He was a retired physician, member of the Knights of Columbus and The Holy Family Catholic Church. His father, Paulino Sambat, one brother, Thomas Sambat and one infant brother all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Sambat; his mother, Florencia Sambat of New York, New York; one stepdaughter, Heidi Sherman of Newport Richey, Florida; three sons, Bryan Sambat, Bryon Sambat and Brandon Sambat, all of Kingsport; two stepsons, Eric Klausch of Newport Richey, Florida, and Christopher Klausch of Jacksonville, Florida; four sisters, Zeinda Ball of Bogota, New Jersey, Angie Christensen of Ovidda, Florida and Gloria Sambat and Cecilia Sambat, both of New York, New York; nine brothers, Paulino Sambat, Jr. of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Eduardo Sambat, Jimmy Sambat, Arturo Sambat, Frank Sambat, Anthony Sambat, Max Sambat, Marcel Sambat and Macaro Sambat, all of New York, New York and two step-grandsons.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Ann Patterson
1950-2002
HOLLOW ROCK - Mrs. Mary Ann Patterson, 52, died Thursday, December 19 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ricky Jordan officiating. Interment icon followed in the New Prospect cemetery.
Mrs. Patterson was born December 3, 1950 in Patoka, Indiana to the late Verley and Pauline Jones Todd. She was a retired department manager for Wal-Mart and a member of the House of the Lord Church in Camden. Two brothers, Donnie Todd and Rannie Todd, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Patterson; one daughter, Melissa Patterson of Bruceton; one sister, Diane Wethington of Patoka, Indiana; three brothers, Wayne Todd of Delphi, Indiana, Clifton Todd and Robert Todd, both of California and one granddaughter, Shawnda Fuller.

Blanche Jean McNeil
1933-2002
McKENZIE - Blanche Jean McNeil, 69, died on Monday, December 16 at Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Ms. McNeil, the daughter of the late James Milton McDonald and Alice Thompson Allen, was born on July 17, 1933 in Jackson, Michigan.
Survivors include four sons, Pat McNeil and Tim McNeil, both of McKenzie, Kelly McNeil of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Flynn McNeil of Greenfield; two brothers, Bobby McDonald of McKenzie and Paul McDonald of Nashville; and four grandchildren, Leslie McNeil, Ryan McNeil, Anna Franks and Garrett McNeil.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center's activity fund.

James Ralph Crocker
1941-2002
McKENZIE - James Ralph Crocker, 61, died on Tuesday, December 17 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Enon Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Crocker, the son of Marie Lester Crocker of McKenzie and the late Jessie Crocker, was born February 17, 1941 in McKenzie.
Survivors include two sons and a stepson, Van Crocker of McKenzie, Todd Crocker of Huntingdon and Bobby Swafford of Huntingdon; one sister, Ruth Crocker McElroy of McKenzie; one brother, Harold Crocker of McKenzie; two grandchildren, Jessie Dale Crocker and Vanessa Rena Crocker and the mother of his grandchildren, Lisa Crocker.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

David Leon Cook
1923-2002
ATWOOD - Services for David Leon Cook, 79, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21 at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan. Burial was in the Pisgah cemetery.
Mr. Cook, a retired farmer, died on Wednesday, December 19 at the VA Medical Center in Memphis.
He was a member of the Atwood Church of Chris, a World War II naval veteran, a lifetime member of VFW Post 1889 in Paris, American Legion Post 89 in Springville and a member of Woodman of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Cook; two daughters, Joann Bossard of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Marie Wesley of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Royce Austin of Springville and Charles Austin of Erlanger, Kentucky; one sister, Willodean Cachey of Atwood; one brother, Rev. Larry Joe Cook of Hollow Rock; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be directed to the American Heart Association.

Wayne Oscar Gallimore
1947-2002
McKENZIE - Services for Wayne Oscar Gallimore, 55, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10 at the Gallimore Funeral Home in Gleason with Rev. Gene Gallimore and Terry Flatt officiating. Burial was in the Finley cemetery.
Mr. Gallimore died on Sunday, December 8 at Methodist Healthcare Hospital. He was an employee of Morrissett Tire Service.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Gallimore, a daughter, Shelia Murphy of Murfreesboro, a stepdaughter, Sheena Rash of McKenzie, three sons, Clayton Chesser and Waylon Gallimore, both of McKenzie and Dwayne Gallimore of Nashville; a stepson, Joshua Martin of McKenzie; two brothers, James Thomas Gallimore of McKenzie and Gary Dale Gallimore of Chicago, Illinois; five sisters, Jeanette Largent of San Antonio, Texas, Reba Butler and Janice Heath, both of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Doris Hall of McKenzie, and Phyllis Bensinger of Chicago, Illinois and seven grandchildren.

Joe N. Stafford
1931-2002
TREZEVANT - Joe N. Stafford, 71, died on Sunday, December 8. Services were on Tuesday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery in Greenfield.
Mr. Stafford was born on March 15, 1931 in McKenzie. He retired from the Milan Arsenal.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jeffie Hames Stafford of Trezevant; two daughters, Carolyn Barker and Tammy Stenberg of Trezevant; two sons, Brent Stafford of McLemoresville and Tony Stafford of Trezevant; his mother, Imogene Stafford of McKenzie; two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Stafford of Greenfield, grandsons, Jeffrey, Bradley, Joseph, Josh, and Devin; granddaughters, Adrianne, Tosha, Ashley, Courtney, and Kayce; and two great-grandsons, Kris and Jaycub. His father, R.J. Stafford preceded him in death.

Dorothy Darnall Durden
1914-2002
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Dorothy Darnell Durden, 88, died on Saturday, December 7 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Goodpasture officiating. Interment icon followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Durden, the daughter of the late Wallace and Pearl Carter Darnell was born on April 4, 1914 in Carroll County. She was a retired retail clerk and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Don Durden of Greenfield; one grandson, one great-grandson; and one sister, Mrs. Natalie Pinckley of Huntingdon.

Mabel T. Stewart
1911-2002
GLEASON - Services for Mabel T. Stewart, 91, were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8 at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Carr officiating. Burial was in the Hopewell cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart, widow of Roy Stewart, died on Friday, December 6 at Methodist Volunteer Hospital in Martin.
She was born on November 25, 1911 in Savannah to the late Fagan and Ina Falls Moore. She was a member of the Gleason First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Stewart of McKenzie and Billy Stewart of Gleason; a daughter, Joyce Jones of Gleason; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
