RAINSVILLE -- Buford Cameron, 60, formerly of Rainsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Atlanta Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. CST Sunday, Jan. 20, from Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in New Canaan cemetery.

Jerry Kilgore
HAMPTON, Va. -- Jerry Leon Kilgore, 54, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008.
He was born in Chattanooga, where he resided until 1988 when he relocated to Hampton. He was employed with Koehring Southern in Chattanooga.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Brenda Kilgore; two children, Mark Kilgore and Misty Kilgore, both of Knoxville; one brother, Terry Kilgore; and one sister, Johnas Minnis, both of Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Kilgore.
A small gathering was held at the residence in Virginia.

Dorothy Arant
Dorothy Westmoreland Arant, 69, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease ).
She retired from UnumProvident in 2001, was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Arant volunteered at Memorial Hospital, Meals on Wheels and served on the board of the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
She was the daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy Westmoreland, of Griffin, Ga.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Arant; and children, J. Lee Greene and wife, Kathy, of Memphis, Jane G. Scudder and husband, Mark, of Suwanee, Ga., and Jennifer Greene, of Boston, Mass. Also survived by four stepchildren, Mary Claire Blackshaw and husband, Brian, of Atlanta, Lee Arant, of Newnan, Ga., Amy Arant, of Atlanta, and Scott Arant and wife, Debbie, of Dunwoody, Ga. Also survived by brothers, Bob Westmoreland and wife, Loretta, of Mount Dora, Fla., and Ralph Westmoreland and wife, Kathi, of Brooks, Ga. Also survived by mother-in-law, Essie T. Arant, of Chattanooga; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Larry Schenk officiating.

Steven Bell died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, in a health care facility.
He was preceded in death by mother, Patti Bell.
Steven is survived by father, John Walls; sister, Adrienne Bell; devoted aunts, Emma Walls Price, Mary Wells and Glenda Walls; uncle, Jimmie Walls; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services at noon Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Ruth Cofer cemetery with the Rev. M.T. Billingsley officiating.

Ashlynn Nicole Brock, infant, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007.
She is survived by her parents, Andy and Sheena Brock, of Chattanooga ; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Felecia Hayes; paternal grandparents, Roberta and Andrew J. Brock Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Joyce and Gary Knight; paternal great-grandmother, Sue Brogdon; aunts, Aundria, Evelyn and Edna Brock; uncles, Curtis Brogdon, Chris Morgan and Patrick Hayes.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. today, Oct. 24, 2007, at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Robert Brown
Robert C. Brown, 82, departed this life on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at the home of his devoted cousin and caregiver, Mary Hawthorne.
He was born July 25, 1926, to Edward and Clara Brown in Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one brother, Sherman.
Mr. Brown was a retired bus driver for PACE in Chicago for 45 years. Upon moving to Chattanooga 10 years ago, he worked for Kandy Castle as a bus driver. He loved his work.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a very dear aunt, Elizabeth Lowe, from Chicago; cousin, Mary Hawthorne, of Chattanooga, Meredith Collier, Catherine Lawrence and Carl Cowan and a host of other cousins and very dear friends, Gerald Mason and Mr. and Mrs. Gibson, Evelyn Callaway; and a dear caregiver, Alice.
Funeral services will be held in the Family Mortuary chapel at 1 p.m. today with the Rev. C. Eugene Overstreet officiating.
Interment will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Robert Carr Jr. died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at an area health facility.

Douglas Dickerson
Douglas Dickerson, 64, Hixson died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. The son of the late Dewey and Grace Dickerson, he also was preceded in death by a brother, John Harold Dickerson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Dickerson, Hixson; children, Tammy Scott, Decatur, Tenn., Scotty Stephens, Dunlap; sisters, Jeanette Still, Georgia, Sue Long and Betty Penland, both of North Carolina; brothers, Riley Dickerson, Hixson, and Bob Dickerson, Montana; grandchildren, Brittany and Chelsea Scott; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel with the Rev. Ken Sauer officiating.
Interment will follow in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Lewis Fryar, 79, of Ooltewah, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007.
Survivors include sisters, Helen Bunch and Beaulah McHaffie; brother, William Albert Sherlin.

Keaon Green
Keaon Nickolante Green departed this life Thursday, Oct. 13, 2007, at his residence.
He graduated from the 11th grade with a scholarship to Morehouse College, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He obtained his master’s degree in sociology from Clark University. He was featured in Ebony Magazine for being the smartest African-American male in Chattanooga. He also was featured in a Black History commercial sponsored by McDonald’s.
He was dearly admired and loved by family and friends.
Keaon was preceded in death by his mother, Glovenda Thompson.
He is survived by his father, Roger Robinson; and stepfather, Ronald Thompson; six sisters, Rozenia Thompson, Nickey Rivers, Roslyn Robinson, Shunta Mathis, Chelsea Robinson, Ginger Ogustafson; two brothers, Tkherrazzi Thompson and Miachi Robinson, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Ruth Cofer cemetery.
