McLEMORESVILLE - Services for Don M. Luter, 49, were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24 at Obion River District Association Headquarters in McKenzie. Burial was in Reedy Creek Church cemetery.
Mr. Luter, an employee of Tower Automotive in McLemoresville, died Thursday at Regional Medical Center in Memphis of injuries sustained in a tornado.
He is survived by his wife, Skyeva Luter; seven children, Michelle Luter,P Don Luter, Jr. and Corey Luter, all of Decatur, Illinois, Douglas Harris of Huntingdon, Tosha Adkisson of Chicago, Sonya Wilkins and Cornelius Orgain, both of McLemoresville; two brothers and three sisters, Bonnie Luter and Shirley Cutchlow, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Willie D. Luter of McLemoresville, Ophelia Adkisson of Racine, Wisconsin, and Lucille Luter Harris of Trezevant.

ZELNA LEE ROBERTS WYATT, 1919-2006, PARIS - Zelna Lee Roberts Wyatt, 87, died Friday, May 26, at her home. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, at 1 p.m. at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with cremation. Roger Banks will officiate. Mrs. Wyatt was born April 28, 1919 to the late James Hafford Robinson and Nellie Jane Salmon Robinson. She was the widow of Demoy Roberts and Lanis Wyatt. She retired after 26 years in quality control with General Motors in Livonia, Michigan and was a member of East Wood Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gara Lee Hale; two sisters, Cavette Callaway and Faustine Lee; and three brothers, Clifton, Ballard and Benny Robinson. Survivors include one son, Randall Roberts of Henry; one daughter, Marilyn Johnson of Paris; three sisters, Drue Nell Webb of Paris, Ozane Adams of Cleveland, and Carolyn Forrest of Village, Florida; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, June 3, from 12 p.m. to service time at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

MAX D. DUNCAN, 1924-2006, PURYEAR - Max D. Dunchan, age 81, of Puryear, died Wednesday, May 24 at Plumley Rehab Center in Paris. He was born November 7, 1924 in Puryear at Edmond Ditzler Duncan and Edna Atkins Duncan, both deceased. Funeral services will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home, Saturday, May 27, 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, Paris. David Allbritten and Guy McCombs will offer the eulogy. He will be buried in Puryear City cemetery. Visitation is Friday, May 26, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until service time. Survivors include: three daughters, Stella (Jim) Caddell of Puryear; Marsha (Phil) Routon of Paris, and Lawana (Dan) Ware of Barlett; two sons, Danny (Joyce)Duncan of Prospect, Tenn., Larry (Sherry) Duncan of Memphis; a sister, Marcia Duncan Keane of Hazel, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Evelyn Sue Paschall Duncan; father and mother, Edmond Ditzler Duncan and Edna Atkins Duncan; son, Noah Edmond Duncan, sister, Loretta Duncan Morris; brothers, Thomas Van and Cecil Eugene, Jerry and Fred Duncan. CHARLES C. CONE, HENRY - Charles C. Cone, age 79, of Henry died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at his residence. He was born to Leonard Cone and Margaret Cone, both deceased. JOHN HAROLD EALEY, 1934-2006, SPRINGVILLE - John Harold Ealey, 72, of Springville, Tenn. died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at his home. Ealey was born on May 21, 1934 in Buchanan, Tenn. BEATRICE M. TOWNZEN, 1917-2006, PARIS - Beatrice M. Townzen, 89, died Sunday, May 21, at Henry County Medical Center at Paris. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 24, at 11 a.m. in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial cemetery in Paris. Mrs. Townzen was born January 27, 1917 in Bruceton to the late Fonnie Chester Mathews and Martha Ann Hollingsworth Mathews. She was first married to the late William Odell Lockhart and then married the late Ivie Elvis Townzen. She retired from H.I.S. after 30 years as a seamstress in Bruceton. Other than her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Maryellen Lockhart; one son, Ronald Eugene Lockhart; two sisters, Annie Anderson and Roda Burgamy; one brother, Marvin Mathews; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. JAMES PAUL "JIMMY" HINSON, JR., 1948-2006, PARIS - James Paul "Jimmy" Hinson, Jr., 58, died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Funeral services will be conducted at Ridgeway Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. with Ronnie McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel cemetery in Buchanan, Tenn. DOROTHY LOWE COLE, 1926-2006, PARIS - Dorothy Lowe Cole, 79, died Sunday, June 11, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 15, 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Joseph A. Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood cemetery in Paris. Mrs. Cole was born August 18, 1926 in Mansfield to the late Fleetwood Bryant Lowe and Annie Mae Winsett Lowe. She was married in 1948 to Ardell E. Cole who survives. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, former secretary at the old Atkins-Porter Elementary School, resident grandmother W.G. Rhea Elementary School, volunteered at Henry County High School, and formerly worked in the Circuit Clerk's office while her husband was the clerk. Survivors other than her husband include: three daughters, Cathy Lynn Cole and Christy Leigh Cole, both of Nashville, and Caren Cole Adams of Memphis; and two grandchildren. He was born January 9, 1929 in Henry County to George Lee Mitchell and Mary Nell Duncan Mitchell, both deceased. JIMMIE RAY PRITCHARD, 1933-2006, PARIS, TN - Jimmie Ray Pritchard, 72, of Paris, TN died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 15 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Paris with Jerry Massey, Larry Simmons, and Charles Orr officiating. Burial will follow in VanDyke Grove cemetery in Paris. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris. Pritchard was born October 17, 1933 in Shiloh, TN to the late Rex Pritchard and Mattie Cary Pritchard. He served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years in 1971. He was a welding instructor from 1972-79 at the (then) Paris Area VoTech School and was appointed director in 1981. He served as director for the Tennessee Technology Center for 25 years. He was very active in the community, serving as a member of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce's Education Committee, the Paris Lions Club, the Literacy Council, and the Henry County Office on Aging Committee and as president of the Civitan Club, chairman of the Henry County Bicentennial Committee, and residential chairman of the local Heart Association. Pritchard was also named as one of Tennessee's Who's Who in 1991. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris where he was also a Deacon and an Outreach Leader for the Friendship Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by: his parents and brother Bill Pritchard. Cremation is planned and a memorial service will be held in West Union at a later date. She was born September 26, 1912 in Waukon, IA to the late John C. May and Eugenia Phillips May. JIMMY DALE SMITH, 1943-2006, PARIS - Jimmy Dale Smith, 63, of Paris, TN died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris with Jimmy Allison officiating. Burial will follow in Walker cemetery in Paris. Visitation is Monday, July 10 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 11 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Smith was born June 11, 1943 to the late Urishma Smith and Ruby Lee Chilcutt Smith. He was a former supervisor at Holley Carburetor Plant for about 17 years before the plant closed. He was also a former supervisor at Midland Brake for seven years. He retired from Auto Zone after eight years as a parts salesman. He was also a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters Frances Merrell and Rachel Taylor; brothers Richard Elroy Smith and two in infancy. Survivors include: wife Patricia L. Hill Smith of Paris; daughter Tammie (Alan) Jay of Lenoir City, TN; son Brad (Beth) Jackson of Camden, TN; sister Betty Jane Lamb of Alamo, KY; grandchildren Carolina and Suzanna Jay and Emma, Tucker, and Audrey Jackson; a special niece, Andrea Renee Beasley; and a special great-great-nephew, A.J.
