Charles Keener
McKENZIE - Services for Charles Round Keener, 78, were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 16 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Carr officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh cemetery.
Mr. Keener, a carpenter, died Wednesday, June 13 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital of heart failure.
He was born September 28, 1922 in Fairfax, Pennsylvania to the late Anna Mary Rowan Keener and George Edward Keener. He was a member of the Long Heights Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Reynolds Keener; a daughter, Anita Marie Hollis of McKenzie; a stepdaughter, Lenora Mayo of Big Sandy; two sisters, Anna Carrow of Baltimore and Linda Wiatrowski of Dover, Pennsylvania; a brother, James Keener of Baltimore; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Nelda Moore.

Estelle Caplinger
BRUCETON - Services for Estelle Pierce Caplinger, 82, were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 18, at Bruceton Funeral Home with the Rev. Eulas Greer officiating. Burial was in the Liberty United Methodist Church near Camden.
Mrs. Caplinger, a homemaker died Saturday, June 16 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon of heart failure.
She was born October 20, 1918 in Benton County to the late William Sleath Pierce and Lou Etta Stagner Pierce. She was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Caplinger and two sons, James Terrell Caplinger and Winfred Ray Caplinger. Survivors include a sister, Blondell Abbott of Bruceton; a grandson and a niece.

Edward Pinson
TREZEVANT - Services for Edward Morris Pinson, 77, were at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 13 at Trezevant Church of Christ with Bro. Don Reidheimer and Bro. John Forgy officiating. Burial was in the Trezevant cemetery.
Mr. Pinson, a retired farmer, died Monday, June 11 at McKenzie Methodist Hospital of heart failure.
He was born November 23, 1923 in Carroll County to the late Lennie Green Pinson and Dennis Lowrence Pinson. He was a member of Trezevant Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Pinson of Trezevant.
Brummitt Funeral Home of Trezevant was in charge of the arrangements.

Zera Seavers
TREZEVANT - Services for Zera D. Seavers, 88, were at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 15 at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Vance Rushing and Bro. Bob Hull officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery in Cedar Grove.
Mrs. Seavers, retired owner of Seaver's Grocery, died Wednesday, June 13 at McKenzie Methodist Hospital of heart failure.
She was born August 6, 1912 in Huntingdon to the late Margaret Chandler Groom and Noah S. Groom. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy D. Seavers. She is survived by a daughter, Faye Broughton of Memphis; a sister, Velma Scott of Atwood; two half sisters, Leverne Mayfield of Fairview Heights, Illinois and Norma Blank of Keyesport, Illinois; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Nehemiah Building Fund, Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie.

Alfred Kelley
BRUCETON - Services for Alfred Lee Kelley, 70, formerly of Somerville, were at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 15 at J. A. Lofties Funeral Home in Memphis. Burial was in the Travelers Rest cemetery in Laconia.
Mr. Kelley, a retired farmer, died Monday, June 11 at Life Care Nursing Center in Bruceton of heart failure.
He is survived by two sons, Alfred J. Kelley, Jr. of Jackson and Larry Harris of Atlanta; a sister, Frances Lewis of Bruceton and a brother, Robert Kelley of New York.

Camdan Gwaltney
McKENZIE - Services for Camdan Bramley Gwaltney, 3 weeks old, were Thursday, June 14 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Carr officiating. Burial was in the Milan cemetery.
Camdan died Tuesday, June 12 at home from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), according to a prelimiary autopsy report.
He is survived by his mother and father, Tabatha Ann Watson Gwaltney and Robert Bramley Gwaltney of McKenzie; a sister, Samantha Gwaltney of McKenzie; and his grandparents, Dr. Sidney and Sharon Ray of McKenzie, Robert and Elaine Gwaltney of Dallas, Texas, Ann and David Williams of Bradford, and Roger and Joyce Watson of Huntingdon.

Naomi Jordan Platt
BRUCETON - Services for Naomi Jordan Platt, 79, were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 8 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Whitworth officiating. Burial was in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Platt, a homemaker, died Wednesday, June 6 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
She was born May 8, 1922 in Zack, to the late W. B. "Dutch" Jordan and Deloris Jordan.
Survivors include a son, Terrill Johnson of Memphis; a stepdaughter, Pam Brewer of Norman, Oklahoma; a brother, Wilbur Jordan of Bruceton; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Johnson in 1964 and Louis Platt in 1999.

Laila Danielle Williams
SPRINGVILLE - Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15 at Evergreen Church cemetery with the Rev. George Williams Sr. officiating.
The infant was stillborn on Saturday, June 9 at Henry County Medical Center.
Survivors include her parents, Quotesha and George Williams III; maternal grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Thomas (Sharon) Teague of Springville; great-grandparents Mary Webb of McKenzie, Ray and Peggy Teague, Sr. of Springville, Clyde and Mildred Teague, Sr. of Springville and Louise Diggs of Murray, Kentucky; paternal grandparents George Williams, Jr. of Paris, Rosie Moss Williams of Clarksville, and great-grandparents Rev. and Mrs. George (Alice) Williams, Sr. of Paris and Sarah Moss of Clarksville.

Maurice Love McKennie
McKENZIE - Services for Maurice Love McKennie, 76, were on Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home with Brother Dennis Beal officiating. Burial was in Enon cemetery.
Mr. McKennie, a retired self-employed commercial contractor, died Friday, December 7 at Oak Manor Health Care Center in McKenzie.
He was born December 3, 1925 in McKenzie to the late Annie Lee Barker McKennie and Preston Polk McKennie. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Berneal Zigler McKennie; a son, Gary McKennie of McKenzie; three sisters, Sue Nell Wilson, Joyce McDearmon and Patty Foster, all of McKenzie; two brothers, H. R. and Wayne McKennie, both of McKenzie; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Thomas "Tom" Lonardo
PARIS - Thomas "Tom" Lonardo, 80, died Monday, December 10 at his residence. Services were held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12 at First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Phillip Cook and Charles Orr officiating. Burial was in the Johnson Chapel Methodist cemetery.
He was born August 18, 1921 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Emil and Margaret Striano Lonardo. He was married October 4, 1944 to the former Claire Taylor, who survives.
Lonardo attended school in Rhode Island, including the University of Rhode Island. He was a World War II army veteran and came to Paris in 1942 with the Camp Tyson band as a string base player.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Thomas Taylor Lonardo of Memphis; two sisters, Carmello DeMarco of Cranston, Rhode Island and Margarite Carrera of Providence; and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Lonardo and Dr. L. T. Lonardo.
The family requests memorials be made to Henry County Medical Center Hospice, 311 E. Wood Street, Paris or the Organ Fund at First United Methodist Church, 101 E. Blythe Street, Paris.

Charles "Charlie" Curtis Pinkley
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Charles "Charlie" Curtis Pinkley, 69, died Sunday, December 16 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 19 at Prospect Baptist Church with Brothers Johnny Boyd and William Fowler officiating. Interment icon will follow at New Prospect cemetery.
Mr. Pinkley was born March 19,1932 in Parsons to the late Connie and Ruby Raines Pinkley. He was a member of Westport Baptist Church and a retired forklift operator for Gaines. Two brothers, Jim Pinkley and Larry Pinkley; three sisters, Levon Davison, Lardean Hartley, and Burnice Pinkley and a nephew preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Irene Pinkley; a daughter, Sabrina Pinkley of Huntingdon; two brothers, S. W. Pinkley of Washington and Terry Pinkley of Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Ione Walker
1921-2005
TREZEVANT - Ione Walker, 84, died Sunday, December 25, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 27, at 2 p.m. at Republican Grove Baptist Church in Trezevant with the Revs. Lynn Walker and Joseph Hicks officiating. Burial followed in Republican Grove cemetery. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Walker was born June 15, 1921, in Obion, Tennessee, to Perry Lebert Bobo and Flossie Jewell Hampton Bobo, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Walker; one brother, Robert Bobo; two sisters, Jewell Bobo and Doris Walker; and one great-grandson.
She is survived by one son, Lebert (Maxine) Walker of Trezevant; one daughter, Brenda (Dwayne) Gaskins of McKenzie; two brothers, Vernon Bobo of Trezevant and Harlon Bobo of Huntingdon; one sister, Betty Blankenship of Trezevant; seven grandchildren: Marsha Wilson, Ken Walker, Barry Walker, Tony Walker, Chuck Gaskins, Karen Hicks, and Stephen Gaskins; and 18 great-grandchildren.

K.C. Gordon
1931-2005
McKENZIE - K.C. Gordon, 74, died Sunday, December 25, at his home. Services will be held Saturday, December 31, at 11 a.m. at Johnson Temple CME Church located at 915 West Walnut Avenue in McKenzie. Visitation will begin Friday night at Johnson Temple CME Church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Trinity Funeral Home of Paris is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gordon worked for Brown Shoe Company for 12 years and the Department of Transportation for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mamie Gordon of McKenzie.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Arnetta Gordon of McKenzie; one daughter, Judy (Thomas) Stubblefield of O'Fallon, Missouri; one brother, Earthlow (Carolyn) Gordon of Indianapolis; one sister, Grace Gordon of Milwaukee; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Calvin Carlos White
1924-2005
HUNTINGDON - Calvin Carlos White, 81, died Friday, December 23, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 27, in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Morris officiating. Interment icon followed in the Jamison cemetery.
Mr. White was born November 19, 1924, in Buena Vista, to the late Edmond Carlos White and Lillie Bell Nolen White. He was a retired farmer, served on the Huntingdon Police Department for 13 years, chief of police for five years, a World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie White.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue (Horn) White; one daughter, Phyllis Jennette of Huntingdon; and one son, Mark White. He also leaves seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
