Edna Pearl Churchwell Joyner
LAVINIA - Funeral services for Edna Pearl Churchwell Joyner, 91, were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21 at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in Hopewell cemetery in Lavinia.
Mrs. Joyner, a homemaker, died Sunday, November 18 at Milan General Hospital of heart failure.
A son, Rev. Joseph Clayton Joyner, and her husband, Odie L. Joyner, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Ben Joyner of Jackson; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Nancy Virginia Larkey
BRUCETON - Graveside services for Nancy Virginia Larkey, 92, were Monday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads cemetery in Camden with Bro. Kenneth Zike officiating.
Mrs. Larkey, a retired dairy farmer, died Friday November 23 at Lifecare Center in Bruceton.
She was born July 5, 1909 in Hiltons, Virginia to the late John Wesley Larkey and Margaret Nichols Larkey. She was a member of Darthula Baptist Church in Hiltons, Virginia.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Effie Larkey and four brothers, Arthur Larkey, Homer Larkey, Charlie Larkey and Albert Garn Larkey preceded her in death.

Willie Sue Argo Bobo
TREZEVANT - Services for Willie Sue Argo Bobo, 89, were at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27 at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Bobo died Sunday morning, November 25 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
She was born February 1, 1912 in Bradford to the late Lou Etta Hampton Cunningham and Willie Riley Cunningham. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Ulon C. Argo of Big Sandy; a sister, Maxie Raines of Benton Harbor, Michigan; a brother, Joel Cunningham of Bradford; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her husband, J. B. Argo, preceded her in death.

Dola Estelle Chandler
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Dola Estelle Chandler, 90, died Wednesday, November 21 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 24 at Mud Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Brother Dennis Abernathy officiating. Interment icon followed in Hampton cemetery.
Mrs. Chandler was born October 10, 1911 to the late Osco and Sudie Hampton Bridges. Her husband, John Chandler, who died April 9, 1978, and a brother, Raymond Bridges, preceded her in death. She was a retired employee of Henry I. Siegel and a member of Mud Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Sudie White of Huntingdon; two sons, Burl Chandler and Adron Chandler, both of Huntingdon; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Tom Rye Reynolds
McKENZIE - Mr. Tom Rye Reynolds, 86, died Friday, November 23 at the Methodist Hospital of McKenzie. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, November 26 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Scott Carter officiating. Interment icon followed in the Shiloh cemetery near McKenzie. Reynolds, the son of the late William Henry and Bertha Mizell Reynolds, was born January 27, 1915 in Carroll County. He was a retired construction worker, a Baptist, and a World War II United States Marine veteran. Two sons, Charles Reynolds and Tommy Reynolds; two brothers, Floyd Reynolds and Max Reynolds and five sisters, Virgie Smith, Blanche Gibson, Rachel Smith, Leah Noles and Pauline Hendly, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Anne Marie Vancleave Reynolds; two daughters, Anita Boulais of Fairborn, Ohio and Karen Heisterkamp of Westlinn, Oregon; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

J. D. Hall
CEDAR GROVE - Mr. J. D. Hall, 71, of Cedar Grove died Friday, November 23 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 25 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hugo Sellers officiating. Interment icon followed in the Christian Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Hall, the son of the late Dewey Commodore and Ellie Marie Johnson Hall, was born January 14, 1930 in Yuma. He was a retired sawmill owner and operator and a retired deputy for the Carroll County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. His wife, Martha Lorene Hall, who died September 29, 1999 and a brother Berdie Hall, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Nina Lorene Boyd of Cedar Grove; one son, Dewey Max Hall of Huntingdon; two sisters, Novercine Johnson of Memphis and Margie Parker of Huntingdon; one brother, James Hall of Detroit, Michigan; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Michael Joseph Fisher
BUENA VISTA - Mr. Michael Joseph Fisher, 49, died Monday, November 19 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. A memorial funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, December 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the home of his mother, Patricia Foster.
Mr. Fisher was born September 25, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a technician at Procter & Gamble. His father, Joseph Fisher, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia Murphy Foster and Jerry Foster of Bruceton; one daughter, Shelly Fisher of Memphis; one son, Shawn Fisher of Westerlo, New York; two grandchildren and his fiancee', Laurie Simons of Buena Vista.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Annie Bell Moore
HUNTINGDON - Miss Annie Bell Moore, 86, died Saturday, November 24 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 25 at the Mud Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Interment icon followed in Hampton cemetery.
Miss Moore was born December 12, 1914 to the late J. T. and Mollie Lawrence Moore in Carroll County.
She is survived by several cousins.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Robert "Bob" Eugene Brooks
HUNTINGDON - Mr. Robert "Bob" Eugene Brooks, 64, died Sunday, November 25 at the Methodist Hospital in McKenzie. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 28 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Goodpasture and Reverend Tim Forbess officiating. Interment icon will be in the Obion Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Brooks was born January 20, 1937 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a retired navy veteran and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. A granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Brooks, and his father, Abner C. Brooks, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Elizabeth Kay Brooks; his mother, Adgeleen Long Brooks, 97, of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Bobby Brooks of New Orleans, Louisiana and John Brooks of Atoka; one daughter, Jody Penny of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his mother-in-law, Polly Kirby of Huntingdon; one brother, John C. Brooks of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Gerry Roberts of Kansas City, Kansas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Claudine Brewer Halter
CLARKSBURG - Mrs. Claudine Brewer Halter, 60, died November 26 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be held at Dilday Funeral Home Chapel in Huntingdon on Wednesday, November 28 at 1:30 with Brother Phillip Halter officiating. Burial will take place at Jones cemetery in Parkers Crossroads.
Mrs. Halter, the daughter of W. C. and Jewell Brewer, was born in Nashville. She was an active member of Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church and was privileged to teach for many years.
A graduate of Clarksburg High School and Bethel College she enjoyed the 11 years she served as the Carroll County Librarian. At the time of her death, she was serving as Library Trustee for Carroll County Library and Trustee for the Reelfoot Regional Library Board.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, John C. (Pete) Halter, her mother-in-law, Mrs. Lorene Halter; three aunts, Mrs. Lillian Malliard of Nashville, Mrs. Opal Workman of Indialantic, Florida, and Mrs. Patsy Witt of Sacramento, California; a brother-in-law Donald and Dorothy Halter; four sister-in-laws: Judy and John White, Carolyn and Charles Lutz, Glenda and Charles Harris and Jean and Jimmy Crownover.
Memorials may be made to the Carroll County Library, Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church Youth Fund or the American Cancer Society.

Marvin Pullom
McKENZIE - Marvin Pullom, 85, was dead on arrival at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, November 24 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 1 at Obion River District Headquarters with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Obion River District.

Mary Grace Martin
McKENZIE - Services for Mary Grace Martin, 90, were Friday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in McKenzie with Drs. John Adams and Dennis Trull officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Martin, widow of Caywood Hopewell Martin, died Tuesday, October 2 at Oak Manor Health Center in McKenzie.
She was born April 3, 1911 in McKenzie to the late Grace Baker Everett and Clint Everett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Adams of McKenzie and Kay Parker of Milan; one sisters, Fay Rosenfelder of Humboldt; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Duane Tharp
TREZEVANT - Graveside services for Mr. Duane Tharp, 68, were at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14 at the Oakwood cemetery in Milan. Mr. Tharp, retired owner and operator of Sardis Motors in Sardis, Mississippi, died Friday, October 12 at the NHC Healthcare in Milan.
He was a member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, past master of the Milan Masonic Lodge #191 and former owner of the 45 Auto Salvage in Milan.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ann Tharp; three daughters, Kathleen Holder of Paris, Colleen Dunn of Memphis and Gloria Knott of Milan; four sons, Danny tharp of Dresden, Dale Tharp of Salem, Illinois, Keith Fesmire of Milan and Lee Fesmire of Marion, Arkansas; a sister Doris Allmendinger of North Carolina; a brother, Billy Mack tharp of Milan; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan was in charge of the arrangements.

Earlie Mae Strayhorn Pate
McKENZIE - Funeral services for Earlie Mae Strayhorn Pate, 76, were held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14 at the Mt. Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie with the Rev. James Stewart officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Born on March 21, 1925 in Milan, she was the daughter of the late Goldie and Nina Strayhorn. She married James Odell Pate on November 3, 1946.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James Odell Pate; two sons, James Elwood Pate and Russell Earl Pate, both of Nashville; a sister, Victoria Pullom of Jackson; two stepsisters Juanita Johnson of McKenzie and Mattie D. Walker of Florida; a brother Milton Strayhorn of McKenzie.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nina Kay Pate.
Trinity Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Bobby Joe Berryhill
McKENZIE - Graveside services for Bobby Joe Berryhill, 71, were held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, October 11 at Beech Springs cemetery in Gleason with the Rev. Gene Price officiating. Mr. Berryhill died Monday, October 8 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
Mr. Berryhill was born June 23, 1930 in Gleason to the late Lora McGee Berryhill and Dewey Otis Berryhill.
Survivors include two sisters, Emma Oliver of Lansing, Michigan and Mable Taylor of Gleason.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
