Patsy Kay Baker
HENRY - Patsy Kay Baker, 55, died of an apparent heart attack on Tuesday afternoon, June 26 at her residence. Services were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 28 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Jerry Drye of Henry Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Henry cemetery.
Born in Henry County on August 24, 1945, she was the daugther of Edna Bea Lowe Baker of Henry and the late James "Shorty" Baker.
A Henry High School graduate and member of the Pentecostal Church, she was a former cashier for Kroger.
She leaves two daughters, Kimberly Jean Smith and Robin Ownby, both of Henry; one son, William McCuiston of McKenzie; one sister, Wilma Ziegler of Atlanta and seven grandchildren.

Floyd R. Fuller
McKENZIE - Services for Floyd R. Fuller, 84, were at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 29 at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie, with Bro. Vance Rushing officiating. Burial was at Union Academy cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Fuller, a retired carpenter, died at Oak Manor Heathcare in McKenzie on Wednesday, June 27 of heart failure.
Born October 11, 1916 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Emma Crocker and Elmer Fuller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Daisy F. Fuller. He was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Kirkland of Union City, Sue Gardner of Milan and Barbara Burlison of McKenzie; three sons, Clifton Gene Fuller and Rickey Glenn Fuller, both of McKenzie and Ted Fuller of Atwood; two sisters, Flora Moore of McKenzie and Frances Murphy of Trezevant; one brother, Johnny Fuller of Gleason; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Effie Marie Travis
CORNERSVILLE: Graveside services for Effie Marie Travis, 75, were at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 2 at Pilgrim's Rest cemetery with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Travis, formerly of McKenzie and a retired factory worker for Brown Shoe Company in McKenzie, died Friday, June 29 at NHC Healthcare in Lewisburg.
She was born December 30, 1925 in Wordell, Missouri to the late Willie French Smith and Porter Smith. She was the widow of Gerald Ray Travis.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Hendrix of Troy; three sons, Harold R. Travis of Springfield, Dennis C. Travis of Erlanger, Kentucky and Gary Travis of Latonia, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Geraldine Katzenberger also preceded her in death.

June Story
McKENZIE - Graveside services for June Story, 78, will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3 at Mount Olivet cemetery in McKenzie. Mrs. Story, a homemaker, died Saturday, June 30 of heart failure at McKenzie Health Care Center.
She was born November 30, 1922 in Henry County to the late Velva Irene Melton Lee and James Clint Lee.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy Martin of McKenzie; a son, Robbie C. Story of Ontario, California; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A son, Danny Lee Story and a brother, Ralf Lee, also preceded her in death. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Henry Rodgers, Jr.
BRUCETON - Services for Charles Henry Rodgers, Jr., 84, were at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 28 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Buena Vista with the Rev. Robert White and Mr. Dan Birdwell officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with military honors held at the gravesite.
Mr. Rodgers, a retired machine operator for International Harvester, died Sunday, June 24 at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis.
He was born September 20, 1916 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Charles H. Rodgers, Sr. and Emma Marley Rodgers. He was a World War II and Korean War U. S. Air Force veteran and flew over 50 missions in World War II. He was a member of the Tennessee Bend Baptist Church in Herod, Illinois.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Jackson of Memphis and Jennifer Kennon of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; two sons, Michael Rodgers and Charles H. Rodgers, III, both of Memphis; a sister, Mary McIntosh of Carmi, Illinois; a brother, John Rodgers of Orlando, Florida; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Bowers Rodgers.
Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

J. F. Gooch
YUMA - Mr. J. F. Gooch, 89, died Wednesday, June 27 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 29 at the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers A. G. Hayes and Charles Hampton officiating. Interment icon followed at New Hope cemetery in Yuma.
Mr. Gooch was born October 17, 1911 in Yuma to the late Sam and Callie Therrell Gooch. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Edward Gooch and four sisters, Dorothy Segraves, Lizzie Cary, Euba Edwards, and Frances Umstead.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Cleo Gooch; two daughters, Sue Hollowell of Yuma and June Murphy of Clarksburg; one son, Billy Gooch of Yuma; three sister, Martha Nell Segraves and Pat Wood, both of Yuma and Ruth Todd of Wildersville; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Edna Beatrice Foster
TREZEVANT - Mrs. Edna Beatrice Foster, 89, died Thursday, June 28 at Huntingdon Health and Rehab. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 30 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tommy Martin officiating. Interment icon followed in New Hope cemetery in Vale.
Mrs. Foster was born on November 4, 1911 in Carroll County to the late Erby and Jodie Yarbrough Hoffman. She was a homemaker and a member of the McLemoresville Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Foster, who died in 1979.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie Foster of Trezevant; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Beverly Louise McClure Barnhart
McKENZIE - Memorial services for Beverly Louise McClure Barnhart, 59, were Friday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie.
Mrs. Barnhart died Tuesday, November 13 at her residence.
She was born October 3, 1942 in Paris. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband, James B. Barnhart; her mother, Mary Louise McClure; one daughter, Wendy Spivey of Ypsilauti, Michigan; two sons, Larry Pierce of McKenzie and Phillip Barnhart of Ypsilanti, Michigan; a sister, Sherry Poore of Canton, Michigan; four brothers, Eddie McClure of McKenzie, Mike McClure of Milan, Gary McClure of Canton, Michigan and Bill McClure of Ypsilauti, Michigan; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Beverly Barnhart Fund at Union Planters in McKenzie.
A daughter, Beverly Faye Barnhart, a son, James Randal Barnhart and her father, William McClure, preceded her in death.

Vella "Dean" Hargrove
TREZEVANT - Services for Vella "Dean" Hargrove were Sunday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Republican Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Allen officiating. Burial was in the Republican Grove Church cemetery.
Mrs. Hargrove, a retired employee of HIS in Trezevant, died Friday, November 16 at Life Care Center in Bruceton.
She was born March 20, 1931 in Trezevant to the late Gilla B. Johns Ervin and J. H. Ervin. She was a member of the Republican Grove Baptist in Trezevant. Her husband, Jake L. Hargrove, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Walker of Trezevant and Peggy Jo Hopper of McKenzie and one brother, Dewayne Ervin of Union City.
Brummitt Funeral Home of Trezevant was in charge of the arrangements.

Betty Joyce Delaney
NASHVILLE - Services for Betty Joyce Delaney, 73, will be Wednesday, November 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the West Harpeth Chapel with Rev. Timothy Turney officiating. Interment icon will be in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Delaney died Monday, November 18.
Survivors include her husband, James Delaney of McKenzie; a daughter, Janice Flatt of Henderson, her mother, Myrtle Sexton Kee and two sisters, Margaret Morris and Alice Lindsley, all of McKenzie; two brothers, James Sexton of Carrollton, Georgia and Dale Sexton of Greenfield; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory, 6962 Charlotte Pike at Davidson Drive. For more information, call 352-9400.

William R. "Bud" Litton
TRIMBLE: Services for William R. "Bud" Litton, 86, were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 19 at Trimble First Baptist Church. Burial was in Fairview cemetery in Newbern. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Litton, retired school bus driver for the Dyer County School System, died Friday, November 16 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a member of Trimble First Baptist Church, 52-year member of the American Legion and a World War II U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Butler of McKenzie; two sons, Herbert Guy Litton of Trimble and Tommy Litton of Cummings, Georgia; two brothers, Woodrow Litton of Waverly and Mack Litton of Trenton and three grandchildren.
His wife, Annie Hardin Litton, preceded him in death.

Bessie Mae Billings McCain
BRUCETON - Services for Bessie Mae Billings McCain, 81, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17 at Clark Street Baptist Church. Burial was in Humble cemetery.
Mrs. McCain died Monday, November 12, at her home She was preceded in death by her husband James Nathaniel McCain.
Survivors include two sons, Charlie James McCain of Nashville and Nathaniel McCain of Bruceton; three granddaughters; and three stepsons, Edward McCain, Gene McCain and Wilford McCain.
Stephenson-Shaw Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Anita Belew
HUNTINGDON - Funeral services for Anita Yvette Belew, 47, were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17 at Beasley Street Church of Christ. Burial was in Clover Dale in Milan.
Ms. Belew died Monday, November 12 at Maplewood Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Tracey B. Taylor and Dewuana Atkins; one son, Lamont B. Atkins; three sisters, Joyce Hale, Maxine Hart and Beverly A. Horton; two brothers, Curtis Houssel and Kenneth Belew; and two grandsons.
Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Leah Levene Dean
McKENZIE - Services for Leah Levene Dean, 83, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Clement officiating. Burial was in Pilgrim's Rest cemetery.
Mrs. Dean, a retired Laundromat attendant, died Saturday, November 17 at her residence.
She was born May 9, 1918 in Tullahoma to the late Sally Harrison Chapman and Edward Chapman. She was a member of the Faith Full Gospel Mission.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Higdon of McKenzie; three sons, Tom Heckert of Nashville, Jerry Heckert of Indiana, and Douglas Heckert of Prescot, Michigan; twenty-three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John Dean preceded her in death.
