LAVINIA - Dianne Thompson, 46, died Friday, December 30. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 3, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in Medina. Burial followed in Antioch cemetery in Madison County.

Thomas A. Kennedy
1933-2005
HUNTINGDON - Thomas A. Kennedy, 72, died Friday, December 30. Funeral services were Monday, January 2, at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant. Burial followed in Obion Chapel cemetery in McLemoresville. Bro. Darrell Harris officiated the services.
Mr. Kennedy was born May 13, 1933, in Carroll County, to Hersey Glen Kennedy and Margie Alice West Kennedy, both deceased. He was a farmer and a member of the McLemoresville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Kennedy.
He is survived by one brother, James C. Kennedy of McLemoresville; three sisters: Edith Evelyn Jamison of Houston, Texas, Dorothy Glen White of Helena, Arkansas, and Helen Blankenship of Cedar Grove.

Carl Freeman Braden, Sr.
1921-2005
BRUCETON - Carl Freeman Braden Sr., 84, died Tuesday, December 27, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. Services were Friday, December 30, in the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Prospect cemetery in Hollow Rock. Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiated the services.
Mr. Braden was born April 17, 1921, in West Virginia, to the late Calvin Braden and Mrs. Bessie Hardman Braden, both deceased. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of the Moose Lodge in Richwood, West Virginia. He was formerly of Summersville, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Nadine Braden; one sister, Leota Braden Starr; and three brothers, Doyle Braden, Harold Braden, and Robert Braden.
He is survived by one son, Carl Freeman (Rose) Braden Jr.; two daughters, Carol Ann Braden of Antioch and Debra (PJ) Braden Cochran of Union City.

Lela Esteen Maddox
1910-2005
DRESDEN - Lela Esteen Maddox, 95, died Wednesday, December 28, at Hillview Community Living Center in Dresden. Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 30, at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Matheny Grove cemetery near Palmersville. Elder Houston Patrick officiated the services.
Mrs. Maddox was born in Weakley County to the late Ras and Bertha Grubbs Roberts. She was a member of Matheny Grove Primitive Baptist Church near Palmersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Emerson Maddox.
She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Melton of Dresden; two sons, Dwayne Maddox of Dresden and Doug Maddox of McKenzie; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret Ruth Taylor
1917-2005
CAMDEN - Margaret Ruth Taylor, 88, died Monday, December 26, at Camden Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, December 28, in the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Walter German officiated the services. Eulogy was given by Charles T. Cates Sr. Burial followed in Camden City cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was born August 25, 1917, in Rutherford, to the late Robert Gilford McGee and Freda Davidson McGee. She was a retired director of laundry and women's service at Vanderbilt University and a member of Blakemore Methodist Church in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Cox and Joyce Ragland.
She is survived by her husband, W.L. "Bandy" Taylor of Camden; one daughter, Elaine T. Cates of Germantown; one son, Thomas R. Taylor Sr.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ermon "Doc" Bush
1929-2005
HUNTINGDON - Ermon "Doc" Bush, 76, died Saturday, December 24, at Life Care Center. Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 26, at Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment icon followed in the Christian Chapel cemetery. Brother Lynn Stapleton officiated the services.
Mr. Bush was born January 10, 1929, to the late William Bennett and Georgia Ann Kee Bush. He was retired from Publix Shirt and was a timber cutter and a member of the Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgie Bush, William Bush, and Graydon Bush; and two sisters, Martha Hall and Ruth Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Francis Lee Bush, one brother, Willie Bush of McKenzie; two sisters, Faye Harris of McKenzie and Floy Smothers of Huntingdon; a step-son, Robert (Gaye) Nolen, three step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and a brother-in-law.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lenora Alice Carter
1920-2005
MEMPHIS - Lenora Alice Carter, 85, formerly of Huntingdon, died Saturday, December 24, at Millington Health Care. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 27, in the chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Interment icon followed in McLemoresville cemetery. Brother Billy Morphis officiated the services.
Ms. Carter was born January 20, 1920. She was a retired secretary for the Carroll County Clerk and a member of the McLemoresville Methodist Church.
She is survived by one brother, John David Carter of Huntingdon, and several nieces and nephews.

Rita Faye Stair
1964-2005
HENRY - Rita Faye Stair, 41, died Friday, December 23, at National Healthcare Center in Milan from an injury suffered in 2003. Ridgeway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Stair was born April 14, 1964, in Chicago, to Carolyn Faye Hart of Henry and the late Morris Dean Stair. She was formerly employed with Carhartt in McKenzie.
She leaves two daughters, Brittany Leigh Stair and Sabrina Reena Stair, both of Henry; one son, Justin Warriner of Bartlett; two sisters, Linda Lindsey of Henry and Barbara Warriner of Bartlett; and one brother, Robert Allen Stair of Henry.

John B. Miller
1926-2005
TEXAS: John B. Miller, 80, died Wednesday, December 21, at the Community Hospice of Texas. A mass of Christian burial was held in Mexico City. A memorial and celebration of his life will take place in the United States at the next Miller family reunion.
Mr. Miller was born November 23, 1926, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the late John and Mary Miller. His family moved to McKenzie where his mother was the only woman student at the Cumberland Presbyterian Seminary in the early 1930s. He graduated from high school in Maysville, Kentucky, but considered McKenzie his hometown. He was a World War II veteran, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and a member of the occupation forces in Berlin. After obtaining a business degree at the University of California in Los Angeles, he lived in Texas, Washington state, Alaska, and Mexico, where he worked for the Mexican newspaper, Noticias, and the English newspaper, The News.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Yolanda Sosa Miller.
He is survived by one son, John B. Miller Jr. of Mexico City, Mexico; one daughter, Jacqueline Miller Greason of Arlington, Texas; three sisters, U.T. Miller Summers of Rochester, New York, Mary Beth Miller Lampert of Sarasota, Florida, and Caroline Miller Blakely of Syracuse, New York; and seven grandchildren.

William Thomas Harper
1938-2006
CHARLOTTE, MI: William Thomas Harper, 67, died Tuesday, January 24, at Eaton County Medical Center Facility in Charlotte, Michigan. Funeral Services were conducted Monday, January 30 in the LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris with Bro. Clayton Owen officiating. Burial followed in Memorial cemetery in Paris.
Mr. Harper was born August 10, 1938, to the late George Harper Sr. and Effie Jane Clark Harper. He was an Army veteran, a former auto mechanic, and Chicago Cubs fan who loved motorcycles and westerns and enjoyed bowling.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Lee Harper, who died in 1963; four brothers, James, Billy, Raymond, and Paul Harper.
Survivors include one daughter, Windy (Phil) Zamora of Charlotte, Michigan; one son, Lindsey (Anita) Harper of Lansing, Michigan; two brothers, George (Dorothy) Harper of McKenzie, and LC (Dorothy) Harper of Henry; three sisters, Elouise Ellis of Gleason, Fay (Larry) Taylor of Greenfield, and Shirley (Bob) Morris of Greenfield; one sister-in-law Sarah Harper of McKenzie, special friend, Marie Jones of Paris and four grandchildren.

Lois Fuller Baumgardner
1924-2006
HUNTINGDON - Lois Fuller Baumgardner, 81, died Tuesday, January 24, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 26, at the Huntingdon Church of Christ with Brother Dan Winkler officiating. Interment icon followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Baumgardner was born September 17, 1924, in Carroll County, to the late Charlie and Eddie Montgomery Pendergrass. She was a retired employee of Publix Shirt Corp. and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthus Carlos Fuller and three brothers, Henry Pendergrass, James Pendergrass, and Larry Wayne Pendergrass.
She is survived by her husband, Willie H. (Bill) Baumgardner; two sons, Jimmy (Brenda) Fuller and Jeff (Wanda) Fuller; and a daughter, Patsy (Frank) Myers, all of Huntingdon; a brother, L.R. Pendergrass of Huntingdon; two sisters, Flossie Meals and Ollita Kelly, both of Cedar Grove; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Nora A. "Dolly" Williams
1928-2006
HUNTINGDON - Nora A. "Dolly" Williams, 78, died Sunday, April 9, at her home. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 11, at the First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon with Bro. Roger Patton officiating. Interment icon followed in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McKenzie.
Mrs. Williams was born February 29, 1928, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Ralph H. and Hazel Robbins Dollhopf. She was a retired teacher with 23 years of service with the Huntingdon Special School District, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma - Retired Teachers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy O. Williams; and two sons, Dale Winters and Jerry Winters.
She is survived by six daughters: Fran (Larry) Musser and Millie Morris, both of Huntingdon, Pat (Larry) Fisher and Peggy (Phillip) Howell, both of McLemoresville, and Judy McDade and Betsy (Duane) Shepp, both of Jackson; two sons: Jim (Lisa) Winters of Medical Lake, Washington and Phil (Irene) Williams of McLemoresville; a brother, Ralph R. Dollhopf of Gladston, Michigan; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Evelyn Scott
1928-2006
McKENZIE - Mary Evelyn Scott, 78, died Wednesday, April 5, at her daughter's residence in Dresden. Funeral services were held Friday, April 7, in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Interment icon followed at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Scott was born March 23, 1928, in Carroll County, to the late Bennie and Sara Dodd Bradford. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clayton Scott; two brothers, Tommy and James Bradford; two sisters, Ular Bush and Betty Lou Hotaling; and a step-granddaughter, Tammy Oliver.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Scott of Jackson; two daughters, Barbara Bush of Gleason and Teresa Goodrum of Dresden; two sisters, Mildred Baker and Ethel Mae Lee, both of Buffalo, Texas; eight grandchildren: Shane Garner, Douglas and Jonathan Goodrum, Carrie Insco, Natalie Alexander, Dana and David Brockman, and Melissa Dixon; three step-grandchildren: Janine Hill, Shannon Brooks and Kim Brown; seven great-grandchildren: Derreck, Zach and Blake Garner, Austin and Ashley Goodrum, Vivian Brockman and Gage Dixon; and seven step-great-grandchildren: Drew and Kaitlin Brown, Hanna Brooks, Lanie and Chris Urig, Brittany Ward, and Brandon True.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life for Carroll North or Hospice of West Tennessee.
