Jimmy D. Youngblood
McKENZIE - Services for Jimmy Dale Youngblood, 42, were at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19 at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Barry Hart officiating. Burial was in Memorial cemetery.
Youngblood was dead on arrival Saturday, March 16 at Henry County Medical Center from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born June 1, 1959 in Paris, he was the son of Jean E. Wade Youngblood of Paris and the late Jack N. Youngblood.
He was married December 23, 1995 to the former Teresa Harvey, who survives. He was a member of the National Guard for six years and worked in maintenance for Ryder Truck Rental.
Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Jesse James Youngblood of Paris; a stepson, Jeremy Stone of Nashville; five brothers, Jackie, Mike and Clayton Youngblood, all of Paris, Butch Youngblood of Dundee, Ohio and David Youngblood of Muskegon, Michigan; and three sisters, Shelia Flood, Sherry Dean and Pam Steele, all of Paris.
A son, John Steven Youngblood, who died at age five on December 11, 1988, and a sister, Tracy Lynn Youngblood, preceded him in death.

Kathleen Wilson Moore
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Kathleen Wilson Moore, 83, died Saturday, March 9 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 11 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Fred Ward officiating. Interment icon followed in McCauley cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born July 14, 1918 to the late George Joseph Wilson and Mary Leonia Townsend Wilson in Buena Vista. She was a retired doctor's assistant at Wilson Clinic and a member of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church. Two sisters, Jewel Reeder and Ollie Brinkley and three brothers, Floyd Wilson, G. J. Wilson and Luther Wilson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, William Bill Moore of Huntingdon and one sister, Ondeen Williams of Buena Vista.

Ola Beatrice Meggs
HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Ola Beatrice Meggs, 86, died Monday, March 11 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 12 in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home with Brother John Columbus officiating. Interment icon followed at Davis Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Meggs was born March 3, 1916 to the late George and Pearl Baker Patterson in Decatur County. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and a homemaker. Her husband, Lonnie R. Meggs, who died November 14, 1979 and three brothers, Leslie Patterson, Leburn Patterson and Parker Patterson preceded her in death.
Survivors include five sons, Ray Meggs, Johnny Meggs, Wayne Meggs, Randy Meggs, all of Huntingdon and Bobby Meggs of McKenzie; two daughters, Sara Glisson of Huntingdon and Debbie Bunn of McKenzie; one brother, Fred Patterson of Springfield, Illinois; three sisters, Earline Hammett, Lillian Sullivan and Willodean Davis, all of Huntingdon; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Jeffery Michael Chandler
DETROIT, MICHIGAN: Mr. Jeffery Michael Chandler, 35, died Tuesday, March 5 at his home. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 9 in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Rufus Chandler officiating. Interment icon followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Chandler was born July 8, 1966 in Huntingdon. His paternal grandfather, Bernard Chandler and his great-grandparents, Clyde and Mildred McCormick preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Suzanne Chandler of Dearborn, Michigan and Dennis and Ann Marie Skutnick of Dearborn, Michigan; a paternal grandmother, Louise Mozena of Delray Beach, Florida; a maternal grandmother, Helen Jerdino of Melvindale, Michigan; one daughter, Wendy Chandler; one son, Joshua Chandler, both of McKenzie; six sisters, Jacqueline Benczarski of Flint, Michigan, Phyllis Dawson of Detroit, Michigan, Chelsea Chandler of Melvindale, Michigan, Angela Abab and Regina Mitchell, both of Dearborn, Michigan, and Jerilynn Meldrum of Detroit, Michigan; two brothers, Colby Chandler of Paducah Kentucky and Corey Chandler of Mt. Cleamons, Michigan; and one grandson.

Lorene Lassater Kelly
McKENZIE - Graveside services for Lorene Lassater Kelly, 93, were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 13 at Everett's Chapel cemetery. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kelly, retired factory worker, died Sunday night, March 10 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
She was born on October 4, 1908 to the late Lizzie Lassater and Clint Lassater. She leaves a son, R. L. Dane of Martin.

Tony Fowler
ATWOOD - Services for Tony Fowler, 23, were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11 at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery.
Mr. Fowler, employee of Allen's Dental Lab in Milan, died Friday, March 8 at The Med in Memphis.
He was a member of Faith Baptist church in Medina. Survivors include his mother, Terry Allen Reed of Atwood; his father, Benjamin Fowler of Corinth, Mississippi; his stepfather Charles Reed of Jackson; his fiance', Tabitha Bingham of Milan; two sons, Hayden Fowler and Gaberiel Blake Fowler, both of Milan; a brother, Michael Craig Fowler of Corinth, Mississippi; three half-brothers, Colton Reed and Tyler Reed, both of Atwood and Kyle Fowler of Huntingdon; a half-sister, Sabrina Fowler of Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents, William and Becky Allen of Trezevant and his paternal grandparents, George Fowler of Kentucky and Ruby Fowler of Mississippi.

Rev. D. E. Henderson
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: Funeral services for Rev. D. E. Henderson, 68, were Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Enoch Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Chapman officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery.
Rev. Henderson was a native of McKenzie and taught in the McKenzie School System. He died on Monday, March 4 at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was an ordained minister and member of Enoch Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 22 years. He was serving as moderator of the Purchase Area Presbytery at the time of his death.
He was a graduate of Morehouse College of Atlanta, Georgia and attended the University of Tennessee, Murray State University, and the University of Michigan. He received his master's degree in education and mathematics.
He taught school in Tennessee and Kentucky systems and retired from the Paducah Public School System. He also taught in the "Upward Bound" program at Murray State University.
He was a recipient of the "Who's Who Among High School Teachers," A Kentucky Colonel and Duke of Paducah. He was a board member for the Paducah Teacher's Credit Union. He was also a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Ayrie H. Crump of Paducah; a son, W. C. (PG) Henderson of Paducah and four grandchildren.
A son Anthony Henderson and his parents, Professor Dorsey E. Henderson and Virginia McReynolds Henderson preceded him in death.

Bobby Peterson
YUMA - Services for Bobby Peterson, 69, were Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Reed's Chapel in Lexington with burial in Jones cemetery in Wildersville. Stan Brantley officiated the services.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Bolen Peterson; five daughters, Anna Hall, Iva Segraves, Robbie Segraves, Cindy Whitaker and Janet Wood; five sons, Butch Peterson, Mark Peterson, Tim Peterson, David Peterson and Steven Peterson; one sister, Joy Tanner of Kingston Springs; seventeen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
His wife, Zuba Nell Wilson, and two grandchildren preceded him in death.

Marvin Daniel Wilson
GLEASON - Services for Marvin Daniel Wilson, 83, were Friday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home with Bro. Vince Lapacka officiating. Burial was in Sand Hill cemetery.
Mr. Wilson, retired grocery store owner, died Tuesday, March 5 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born August 16, 1918 in McKenzie to the late Curtis and Annie Winsett Wilson. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include two sisters, Annie Christine Webb of McKenzie and Maurine Trevathan of Memphis.

Bettye J. Rainey
McKENZIE - Services for Bettye J. Rainey, 67, were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7 at McKenzie Church of Christ with Bro. Jim Roberts officiating. Burial was in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Rainey died Tuesday, March 5 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
She was born June 6, 1934 in Huntingdon to the late Lyle Townsend and Cora Lee Kelly Townsend.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight Rainey; one daughter, Donna Finley of McKenzie; two sisters, Helen Coleman of Trezevant and Mary Kee of McKenzie; one brother, Jerry Townsend of Gleason; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Williams Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Opal Bartholomew Jowers Wall
Funeral services for Opal Bartholomew Jowers Wall, 89, were held Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pafford Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Bro. Jason Russell and Bro. Mike McKee officiating. Burial followed in Lexington cemetery.
Mrs. Wall died Friday, March 8 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. She was the widow of Elbert Jowers and Vernice Wall.
She was born July 12, 1912 in Scotts Hill to the late Jim and Lillie Bartholomew and was reared in Henderson and Decatur counties.
Survivors include one son, Bobby E. Jowers of Clarksburg; one daughter, Marie Stanfill of Lexington; two brothers, Mack Bartholomew of Huntingdon and Farris Bartholomew of Clarksburg; three sisters, Irene James of Huron, Alma Lee Halters of Wildersville and Imogene Blackwell of Cedar Grove; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
A sister, Eunie Dabbs and six brothers, Aaron, Coy, Oakley, Woodrow, Paul and Fay Bartholomew also preceded her in death.

Bula Lee King
MEMPHIS - Bula Lee King, 85, died at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge in Charlottesville, VA on January 8 after an extended illness.
Mrs. King was born in Memphis, the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert G. Lee. Dr. Lee was Pastor Emeritus of Bellevue Baptist Church. She graduated from Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. She was the wife of Admiral Ed R. King, who had several relatives in McKenzie, for 59 years.
Mr. and Mrs. King were at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. They lived throughout the United States and abroad before retiring in Memphis in 1970. At different time throughout her life she was an excellent pistol shot, a good golfer, and a noted trainer of young black Labradors.
She was active at Bellevue Baptist Church and enjoyed residency at Bellevue Woods among many dear friends.
Survivors include two daughters and a son, Bettye Lee Ferguson of Solon, Ohio, Robbye King Unger of Charlottesville, Virginia and Dr. Edward Lee King of Old Hickory; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society in honor of Mrs. King.

Ronald D. Washum
PARIS - Ronald Dewayne "Jughead" Washum, 41, died Wednesday, January 9 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after suffering an aneurysm. Services were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12 at Trinity Funeral Home with the Rev. Troy Woodruff officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
Born in Paris on December 13, 1960, he was a son of Johnie B. and Willie Ethel Tharpe Washum, both deceased.
Washum attended Henry County High School and was a Methodist.
Survivors include two daughters, LaToya Russell of Paris and Kelia Washum of Hollow Rock; one son, Ronald Washum of Paducah; one brother, Johnie Ray Washum of Paris; an uncle, Fred (Annie)Tharpe of Paris, who was his caregiver and several cousins.

O.C. Scott/Verlie May Scott
Services for O. C. and Verlie May Scott, both of Gleason, were at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 13 at First Baptist Church in Gleason. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery.
Both Mrs. Scott, 62, and Scott, 67, were dead on arrival Wednesday, January 9 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
Mrs. Scott was born April 9, 1939 in Paris, a daughter of Katherine Page Teague of McKenzie and the late Calvin Milliken. She was a preschool teacher and a member of the Church of the Living God on Gwen Street in Paris.
Scott was born April 21, 1934 in Gleason, a son of the late James "Pug" Scott and Mattie Dee White Scott.
He was retired from H.C. Spinks Clay Co. in Gleason and a member of St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Dresden.
Survivors include their daughters, Doris Battle of Brownsville and Joyce Banks of McKenzie and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Scott also leaves three brothers, Freddie, Claude and Edward Milliken, all of Nashville; a half-brother, Bobby Hayes and a sister, Pearlie Hutcherson, both of Paris.
Scott also leaves three sisters, Mattie Bell Gibbs and Delores Bridges, both of Gleason and Bernice Grogan of Murray; three brothers, Joe Scott of Lansing, Michigan, Russell Scott of Fort Benning, Georgia and Arthur "Pinky" Scott of Paris.
A son, Dwayne Scott, also preceded the Scotts in death.
