Paul Everett Burlison
McKENZIE - Services for Paul Everett Burlison, 65, were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 17 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Morris officiating. Burial was in Everett's Chapel in McKenzie.
Mr. Everett died Monday, April 15 at McKenzie Methodist Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1937 in Tiptonville to the late Ida Rosa Burlison and Woodrow Burlison. A brother, Melvin Burlison, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Terry Burlison and Freddie Duke of McKenzie and Paul Anthony Burlison, Jr. of Huntingdon; three sisters, Evie Haney of McKenzie, Agnes Ham of Finley and Peggy Cornwell of Wynne, Arkansas; five brothers, Richard Burlison of New Johnsonville, Clyde Burlison of Bunnell, Florida, Jackey Burlison of Huntingdon, Elvin Burlison of Paris, and Billy Burlison of Cumberland City; and three grandchildren.

Audrey L. Johnson
GLEASON - Services for Audrey L. Johnson, 73, were at 11:30 a.m. at Gallimore Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Price officiating. Burial followed in Rushing Memorial cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Monday, April 15 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
She was born June 21, 1928 in Hardin, Illinois to the late William Lee Ettes and Mildred Squier.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Johnson; a son, Bob Johnson of St. Peters, Missouri; a daughter, Becky Chiasson of Dupo, Illinois; a sister, Shirley Ducey of O'Fallon, Missouri, six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Hazel Nadine Moore
TREZEVANT - Services for Hazel Nadine Moore, 74, were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 22 at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove cemetery in Greenfield.
Mrs. Moore died Saturday, April 20 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Her husband, Bill Moore, preceded her in death.
She was born April 17, 1928 to the late Mary Bannister and Gilbert Bannister.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty J. Crocker of McKenzie; two sons, Larry Stout of Jackson and Mike Moore of Humboldt; two sisters, Regina Forne of Memphis and Modine Walker of Greenfield; two brothers, Jack Bannister of Chicago, Illinois and Kenneth Bannister of Memphis; nine grandchildren, Randy Crocker, Carol Plunk, Steve Crocker, Lisa Crocker, Jennifer Townes, Jason Moore, Justin Moore, Traci Creasy and Andrea Rushton; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Andrew Bryant Boyd
1968-2002
PARIS - Services for Andrew Bryant Boyd, 33, were at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24 at Western Oak Grove Baptist Church in Buchanan with Rev. James Webb, Jr. officiating. Burial was in Western Oak Grove cemetery.
Mr. Boyd, an employee of Hubbell Lighting in Martin, died Tuesday, August 20.
Mr. Boyd was born September 21, 1968 in Paris, the son of Albert H. and John Ella Coats Boyd. He was a graduate of Henry County High School, Class of 1987 and R.E.T.E.S. College in Louisville, Kentucky. He was also a member of Western Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Hennings Boyd; daughters Donna Brooks of Jackson and Kimberly Wyatt of Bolivar; son Lawrence Wyatt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sister, Nellie Jean Woods of Camden, Brenda Porter of Forrest City Arkansas and Glenda Herron of Huntingdon; brothers Anthony Milan of Athens, Alabama, Angelo Milan of Smithfield, Virginia and Quincy L. Boyd of Paris; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Trinity Funeral Home in Paris was in charge of the arrangements.

O.D. "Pony" Maness
1925-2002
LEXINGTON - Services for O.D. "Pony" Maness, 77, were at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24 at Central Grove Baptist Church with burial following in Central Grove cemetery.
Mr. Maness, a construction worker, died on Friday, August 23 at Lexington Methodist Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Ricky Maness of Lexington; four sisters, Edna Woods of Lexington, Eva Noles, Doris Noles and Bonnie Thompson, all of Buena Vista and one granddaughter.
His wife, Dean Maness preceded him in death.
Reed's Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.

Maurice A. Guill
1911-2002
McKENZIE - Services for Maurice Alvin Guill, 91, were at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 27 at Brummitt Funeral Home with Dr. Howard Walton officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Guill, retired from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture after 25 years of service, died Sunday, August 25 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
He was born May 15, 1911 to the late Mary Ursula Hearne Guill and William Guill. He was a member of the USA Presbyterian Church in McKenzie. He served as a Carroll County Magistrate for six years.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Ruth Guill; a daughter, Margaret G. Brakebusch of Cordova; a grandson, Stephan A. Brakebusch; and a sister, Elizabeth Fagan of Houston, Texas.

Mary K. Barlow
1961-2002
HENRY - Mary Knight Barlow, 41, died of cancer on Wednesday, August 21 at her residence on Herrondale West Road. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24 at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris with Charles Cate officiating. Burial was in Old Union cemetery.
Born March 14, 1961 in Obion County, she was the daughter of George Knight and the late Maudie Lowe Knight.
She was married on November 14, 1981 to Steve Barlow who survives.
Mrs. Barlow was a factory worker and a dietitian in a nursing home. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors also include two daughters, Sabrina K. Adams of Springville and Felicia Barlow of Henry; four sisters, Sandra Darda of McKenzie, Janice Capps and Anna Johnson, both of Trezevant and Gail Haney of Michigan; four brothers, George E. Knight of Huntingdon, Carlton Knight of Gleason, Aubrey Knight of McKenzie and Bobby Knight of Trezevant and one grandchild.
A sister, Patricia Knight and two brothers, Donald and Ronald Knight, all died in infancy and preceded her in death.

Evelyn Raymell Fesmire
1927-2002
TREZEVANT - Services for Evelyn Ramell Fesmire, 75, were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 23 at the First Baptist Church in Trezevant with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Fesmire, retired employee of HIS in Trezevant, died on Tuesday, August 20 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born April 27, 1927 in Trezevant to the late Ebbie Rush Tate and Jessie Tate. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trezevant.
Survivors include her husband, Leotha Fesmire; a daughter, Janice Allen of Milan; one sister, Patty Scott of Reagan; three brothers, John M. Tate of Lexington and Joe Tate and James Tate, both of Wildersville; two grandchildren, Anita Allen Hamilton of Martin and Julie Allen Burke of Knoxville; and one great-grandchild, Sullivan Thomas Burke of Knoxville.

Anita Hicks Herndon
1917-2002
MIAMI, FLORIDA - Anita Hicks Herndon died Monday, August 19 of complications from pneumonia in Miami, Florida. Born in Camden on August 27, 1917, she was the second child of Dr. Garvin Priestly Hicks and wife Grace Paschal of Bruceton. She attended school in Bruceton and college at Milligan College, graduating from Murray State University in 1937.
She married Joe Ted Herndon, also of Bruceton and the two then began a long and successful teaching career at Greenfield High School in Greenfield. Later they relocated to Bruceton where they both taught high school for over twenty years and both received their Master's degrees from George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville.
Mrs. Herndon was renowned as an inspiring and challenging teacher of English. She also served as guidance counselor. In 1968, Mrs. Herndon taught at West Junior High in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System and in 1979 she became the Assistant Dean of Students at Peabody College. Later she was promoted to Dean of Students there. She retired in 1979 in Bruceton. In 1982, she and Mr. Herndon relocated to Nashville where they remained until his death in 1992. In 1994, she relocated to Miami to the home of her son, Joseph.
She was a member of the Bruceton United Methodist Church and was an organist and teacher there. Her husband and her only sister, Brenda Mae Orr of Bruceton and Murray, Kentucky preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Herndon Miller of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; a son, Joseph L Herndon of Miami; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24 at the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with interment icon in Camden City cemetery.

Benjamin Eugene "Cheeter" Lee
1941-2002
McKENZIE - Services for Benjamin Eugene "Cheeter" Lee, 60, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28 at Brummitt Funeral home. Burial will be in the Liberty cemetery.
Mr. Lee, retired from Hansen Marble, died Sunday, August 25 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born December 12, 1941 in McKenzie to the late Mozelle Eldridge Lee and Lewis P. Lee.
Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Lee of Tucson, Arizona; a son, Robert Lee of Tucson, Arizona; four sisters, Betsey Carpenter, Mary Arnold, Neely Waldrop and Linda Ross, all of McKenzie; four brothers, Joe Lee of Indiana, Lewis Lee, Jimmy Lee and Donnie Lee, all of McKenzie.
A son, B.J. Lee and six brothers, Roger Lee, Earl "Paddy" Lee, Floyd Lee, Robert Lee, W.D. Lee and Franklin Lee also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 27 at Brummitt Funeral Home.

Billy Joe "Snipper" McCoy
1964-2002
HENRY - Billy Joe "Snipper" McCoy, 37, was dead on arrival on Sunday, August 18 at Henry County Medical Center. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death. The body was to be cremated.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22 at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Born October 12, 1964 in Hayti, Missouri, he as the son of Bill McCoy of Holcomb, Missouri and Nelly Blanche Mitchell McCoy of Henry.
He was married October 19, 2001 to the former Carolyn Raymer, who survives.
McCoy was a former employee of Murray Outdoors in McKenzie. He was a Catholic.
He also leaves one stepdaughter, Kristina Hilliard of Henry; one stepson, Randy "Spankie" Mobley, Jr. of Paris; two brothers, Johnny Lee McCoy and Scotty Lynn McCoy, both of Paris; one uncle, Jimmy Mitchell of Henry and an aunt, Margie Mitchell of Henry.
