Mary Josiephine King Helton, 82, died at home Saturday, August 6, 2005. A native of Eagleville born February 16, 1923, Mrs. Helton was the daughter of the late Robert Thomas (Bob) and Algie Stem King, of Rover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years: the Rev. Andrew T. Helton; three brothers: James (Clyde) King, Thomas (Fred) King and Albert (Leslie) King; one sister: Ruby England.
She is survived by one sister: Sarah (J.W.) Baker, of Winnsboro, Texas; two sons: Kenneth T. (Mary) Helton, of Murfreesboro, and James T. (Joyce) Helton, of Smyrna; two daughters: Barbara (Fred) Rooker and Deborah (Gary) Combs, of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; 6 step great-great-grandchildren.
She was a cook at Hobgood Elementary and MTSU until she began her 18-year career at General Electric in Murfreesboro where she retired in 1985. She was a member of the Kingdom Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Rover.

Mary “Kate” Adams, 93, of Triune died Wednesday, August 3, 2005 in Murfreesboro after an extended illness. Mrs. Adams was a native of Williamson County and was a daughter of the late William Henry and Susie Scars Harper. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, George Taylor Adams who died in 1963.
She is survived by daughters: Mrs. T.W. Vaughn of Murfreesboro, Ms. Betty Roberts of College Grove; son Carl K. Adams of College Grove; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.

Frankie Lee Patrick, 32, of Christiana passed away Sunday, July 24, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Texas and lived in Rutherford County for the past 20 years. He was self-employed.
Mr. Patrick is survived by parents Lawrence Patrick of Waldrof, Md., and Mary Burgett of Rockvale; wife Kimberly Lynne Patrick, of Christiana; one son: Tanner Patrick, of Christiana; three daughters: Brittany, Delana and Miranda Patrick, all of Christiana; one brother: Billy Patrick, of Smyrna; grandparents Curtis and Celia McPeak.

John Randall Estes, 35, of Rockvale, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2005. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. He was employed by Nissan Motor Manufacturing and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by wife Chrissy Cameron Estes; parents John Estes and Carolyn Martin Estes; son John Mason Estes; expectant daughter Mia Grace Estes; and brother Jason Estes.

Retired Maj. Bill Elmore, USAF, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday, July 2, 2005, at Epoch Assisted Living Center in Las Vegas.
Mr. Elmore was the son of the late W.E. and Jessie Leathers Elmore. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Frances Dement Elmore, and was raised by his two aunts, the late Ethel and Mary Elmore.
He was a retired veteran of the US Air Force, having served in the Vietnam conflict. He was also retired as the assessor of property in Nevada. He was an avid racquetball player and a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Survivors include his daughter and care giver, Lorri L. Elmore, and her husband, Phil Heidt, of Las Vegas; sister Bonnie E. Oakberg and her husband, Frank, of Morristown; and cousins Bob (Wei Wei) Clark and Danny Elmore, both of Nashville; Lila (Ed) Coley of Colleyville, Texas, and Charlotte Forgy of San Antonio, Texas.

Lucille Bevers Leverette, age 84, died Friday, July 22, 2005, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Leverette was a native of Giles County and a daughter of the late Richard Major and Lillie Mai Dunnavant Bevers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ray’s Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Faith Fellowship in Unionville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Leverette who died in 1990, 2 brothers, William Henry and Richard Coleman Bevers and 2 sisters, Annie Bell Porch Collins, Lena Mai Bevers, and Maudie Bevers Neeley.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sherry Marks of Unionville; brothers, Joe D. Bevers of Indianapolis, IN, Tully M. Bevers of Lincoln County, TN; grandchildren Christy Haynes Luna, Nicole Marks, Meghan Marks and Brandon Marks; great-grandchildren Haley, Kaitlyn and Lindsey Brooke Luna.

John Lee Leverette, 80, of Unionville, died Sunday, July 17, 2005 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a native of Bedford County and a son of the late Arthur B. and Jennie Mae Perryman Leverette. He was retired from Genesco in Chapel Hill and was a machinist at his own business. He was a member of the Unionville Lions Club and of the Ray's Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bill and Cecil Leverette.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Geneva Wright Leverette, of Unionville; daughter Cathey Lee Evans, of Murfreesboro; son L. Steve Leverette, of Unionville; sisters Sarah McClintock and Joan Hargrove, both of Unionville, Eleise Smotherman, of Shelbyville, Sue Lamb, of the Deason community; brothers Joe Leverette, Robert Leverette and Paul Leverette, all of Unionville; five grandchildren.

Zulpbia “Zippy” Smith, age 87, of College Grove died Friday, July 15, 2005 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Smith was a native of Clay County, Arkansas and was a daughter of the late Ed and Eutie James Cleveland. She was a homemaker, a former school teacher, and along with her husband Othal Smith, Sr. who died in 1973, were owners and operators of Tradewinds Barbecue on Kentucky Lake. Mrs. Smith was a member of the College Grove United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Othal and Charlotte Smith, Jr. of College Grove; grandsons Othal Smith, III of Bowling Green, Kentucky, David F. Smith of Frankfort, Kentucky; step-granddaughters Morgan High Shockley of Thompson Station, Carrie High Wittekind of St. Augustine, Florida; great-granddaughter Olivia Smith of Bowling Green, Kentucky; step-great grandchildren Maury Wittekind and Mada Wittekind of St. Augustine, Austin Shockley of Thompson Station; niece Sue Bodi of Arkansas; nephew Bud Cleveland of Arkansas.

Annie Lou Perryman Harber, age 84, of Chapel Hill died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 in Columbia, Tennessee. Mrs. Harber was a native of Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Newt and Bessie Elizabeth Jones Perryman. She was a member of the Caney Spring United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jennie Haskins, Ailene Rogers and Lottie Moore, and brothers, Gilbert Perryman and Cecil Perryman.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Emmett Harber of Chapel Hill; sons and daughters-in-law Jerry H. and Nancy Harber of Chapel Hill, Eddy and Sheila Harber of Chapel Hill; sisters Mrs. Myrtle Boyce of Shelbyville, Mrs. Mary Sue Adgent of the Rover Community; grandchildren Jerry Harber Jr., Tim and Vickie Harber, Tammy and Troy Welch, Angie and Jason Gillespie, all of Chapel Hill, Sherry and Leo Strasser of the Rover Community, Tommy and Karla Harber, Lori and Shannon Curtis and Keith Harber, all of Chapel Hill; 14 great grandchildren.

James H. Cunningham, 75, died Monday, July 4, 2005. A retired truck driver, he was a native of Greenback, Tennessee and moved to Bridgeport, Illinois and then to Ocala, Florida. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Cunningham of Ocala, Florida; sons James H. (Butch) Cunningham, Jr. of Rockvale, Glenn Caldwell of Ocala; daughters Judy Melhorn of Monteagle, Linda Spencer, Kay Combs and Brenda Rodriquez, all of Ocala, Florida; brother Bobby Lee Cunningham of Somerset, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service was held for the family in Alcoa, Tennessee

Jimmy Ray White, 58, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, July 3, 2005 in Columbia. Mr. White was a native of Marshall County and was a son of the late Jessie Stephen and Sally Rachael Brown White. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Am Vets and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. White was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church in the Wheel Community.
Survivors include sisters: Mrs. Sarah Louise Liggett of the Wheel Community, Mrs. Pauline Perrell of Unionville, Mrs. Mable Braden of Bessemer, Alabama; brothers: Billy Gene White of Lewisburg, Walter Stephen White of Tullahoma, Robert Carl “Bobby” White of the Wheel Community; several nieces and nephews.

Blossom S. Kelley, age 69, of Eagleville, died Saturday evening, June 25, 2005 at her home in Eagleville after an extended illness.
Mrs. Kelley was a native of Williamson County and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Kelley who died in 1983. She was a homemaker and along with her husband, were the owner of Kelley’s Boat Repair of Eagleville and Murfreesboro. Later, she was employed with the Baptist Book Store in Nashville from where she retired after 13 years of service. She was a member of the Eagleville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Charlie Woodson, of Eagleville; son, Dennis Kelley of Eagleville; grandchildren, Daniel Woodson and Robbie Woodson, both of Eagleville; Nancy Malynn Kelley, Michele Kelley and Marilin Kelley, all of Murfreesboro.
