Alice Marie Smith, 80, of Memphis, retired clerk for J.C. Penney, died Monday at Methodist North Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville, Miss., with burial un Jumpertown cemetery near there. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Smith, the widow of Roy Baxter Smith, leaves a son, Ricky Smith of Memphis, and a sister, Nellie Lacy of Booneville.

Jennie Bessie Smith, 77, of Memphis, homemaker, died Monday at Delta Medical Center. Services will be at noon Saturday at Ward's Chapel AME Church with burial in New Park cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Smith, the wife of Robert Smith, also leaves three daughters, Mary N. Williams, Dorothy Ann Shaw and Brenda Joyce Cross, and two sons, Tommy L. Barnes Jr. and Dedrick Smith, all of Memphis, 27 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Joseph James Thomas, 81, of Memphis, security guard for Onalepoc Security Service, died Saturday at his home. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home with burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Thomas, the husband of Ellen Thomas, also leaves two daughters, Andrea Thomas of Columbus, Miss., and Helen Robinson of Riverside, Calif.; three sons, Joseph James Thomas Jr. and Lacy Thomas, both of Memphis, and Kevin Richmond of Oklahoma City, six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Adline Thompson, 76, of Memphis, retired cook, died Saturday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Whitestone Missionary Baptist Church on South Perkins, where she was an usher board member, with burial in St. Mary's Church cemetery in Nesbit. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She leaves a sister, Maylene Smith, and a brother, Robert Lee Smith, both of Memphis.

Bernard H. Vallot, 50, of Millington, cosmetologist and stylist, died Feb. 5 at his home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Millington. He leaves a son, James Vallot of Hammond, La.; his mother, Katherine H. Vallot of Maiden, N.C.; a sister, Leah Liererman of Dearborn, Mich., and two brothers, Frank Vallot of Ponchatoula, La., and Tim Vallot of Maiden.

Thomas D. Veteto, 86, of Memphis, retired brick mason, died Monday at Collierville Health & Rehabilitation Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of Central North Church. Mr. Veteto, the widower of Grace Veteto, leaves a son, Freddie Veteto of Germantown; three sisters, Catherine Stewart of Bartlett, Mozelle Dunwoody of Memphis and Betty Holcomb of Lexington, Tenn., and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Central North Church.

Bonnie Bee Watson, 75, of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Union cemetery. M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. She was a member and an usher of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Watson, the widow of Sam Watson, leaves two daughters, Susie Marshall and Dottie Smith, both of Memphis, and four grandchildren.

Willie Bell Weatherall, 90, of Memphis, retired domestic worker, died Friday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at noon Saturday at Mayes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsboro, Miss., with burial in Cane Creek cemetery in Reid, Miss. J.O. Patterson Mortuary has charge. She was a mother board member of Southside Church of God in Christ. Mrs. Weatherall, the wife of R.C. Weatherall, also leaves three nieces whom she raised, Nellie Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio, and Annette Gladney and Martha Isabel, both of Bruce, Miss.

Louis Allen Webber, infant son of Shekeva Chopin and Cedric Webber of Memphis, died Sunday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Graveside services will be at noon Friday at New Park cemetery. He also leaves two sisters, Tarkissa Webber and Chante Webber; two brothers, Chedrick Webber and Kewaun Chopin; his grandparents, Lavern Lavender, Curtis Woods and Gloria Webber, and his great-grandmother, Romell Holmes, all of Memphis.

McClain, and a brother, Edward McClain, all of Covington, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Army veteran and a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Dyersburg First Baptist Church. Mr. Cook, the husband of Doris Rogers Cook, also leaves a daughter, Elizabeth Cook Bell of Dyersburg; four sisters, Evelyn Rook of Bruceton, Charlotte Ray of Rehoboth, and Carolyn Simmons and Ruth Richards, both of Jackson; a brother, Milton R. Cook of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and three grandchildren.
