Somerville -- Gordon Duane Bedwell, 69, retired paving contractor, died Monday at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home with burial in Somerville City cemetery. He was a Baptist. Mr. Bedwell, the husband of Glynn Bedwell for 48 years, also leaves two sons, Gordon Bedwell of Destin, Fla., and Chris Bedwell of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and a sister, Colene Pugh of Jonesboro, Ark. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Somerville First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Stanton -- Sierra Jean Martin, infant daughter of Katina Lynn Slayton and Joseph Stephen Martin, died Sunday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brownsville Memorial Gardens. She also leaves her grandparents, Rita Benson and Anthony and Carolyn Young, all of Stanton, William Martin of Whiteville and Bobby Slayton of Florida; her great-grandparents, John and Dorothy Campbell of Nutbush, Bert and Dorothy Martin of Whiteville, Allen and Carolyn Duncan of Ripley, Wanda Henderson of Mississippi, Bobby Slayton of Brownsville and Patsy Dietrich of North Carolina, and her great-great-grandparents, Clarence White of Ash Flat, Ark., and Jean Sloan of Brownsville.

Amanda Mae Billingsley, 85, of Memphis, died Sunday at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church on Vollintine with burial in Bland cemetery in Mason. E. H. Mrs. Bowman, the wife of Charles Bowman, also leaves four sons, Troy Stokes Jr., Frankie Allen, Travis Farr and Jerome Farr; her mother, Sally Ann Williams, and two sisters, Wanda Gordon and Deidre Ewing, all of Memphis; two brothers, Marcus Williams of Memphis and Kenneth Farr of Whiteville, Tenn., and her grandmother, Amelia Barnes of Memphis.

Ida Mae Smith Chandler, 76, of Memphis, retired from Diesel Recon, died Monday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hill Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Galilee Memorial Gardens. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Chandler, the widow of Jasper Chandler, leaves five daughters, Betty Carrie and Nancy Howard, both of California, and Odessa Holmes, Rochelle Johnson and Patricia Walton, all of Memphis; four sons, Charles Owens, Jasper Smith Jr. and Kenneth Ray Smith, all of Memphis, and Christopher Smith of Richmond, Calif., 36 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Conner, the wife of Robert Conner, also leaves four daughters, Tiffany Leann Conner and Shannon L. Virginia Chalk Sanders Cullum, 91, of Little Rock, formerly of Memphis, retired registered nurse after 40 years, died Monday in Little Rock. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at West Side Baptist Church in Greers Ferry, Ark., with burial in Higden-McLehaney cemetery. Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Ark., has charge. She was a graduate of Heber Springs High School and the University of Memphis School of Nursing. Mrs. Cullum, the widow of Vernon Ezekiel Sanders and Roy W. Cullum, leaves two daughters, Jeanette S. Jennings of Memphis and Doris Nipp of Greers Ferry, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Gideons International.

He was a graduate of Chinese Air Force College of Technology. Mr. Gaw, the husband of Pao Chen Sun Gaw, also leaves two daughters, Lisa Gaw and Lee Gaw Chiew, both of Memphis; two sons, Gary Gaw of Newark, N.J., and Benjamin Gaw of Cincinnati, and four grandchildren. Albert Jerry Kuykendall, 62, retired account executive for Campbell Soup after 35 years, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. He was a graduate of Jackson (Tenn.) High School, Union University in Jackson, University of Memphis and St. Joe University in Pennsylvania, a member of Union University's National Alumni Board and Campbell Soup Co. Hall of Fame and Medallion Club. He was active at Bellevue Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school director and served on many committees. He was a recipient of the Great Drummer Award from the National Food Store Operators Association, a Boy Scout leader and a softball coach for the Memphis City Church League. Mr. Kuykendall, the husband of N. Kay Jones Kuykendall, also leaves a daughter, Jana Jones Leist, and a son, Mike Morrell Jones, both of Memphis; his mother, Georgia Weaver Kuykendall, and a sister, Linda Kuykendall Johnston, both of Jackson, and four grandchildren. She was a 50-year member of Mount Olive Cathedral, where she was a stewardess board member, and a member of Retired Teachers Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Southern Belle Bridge Club. Mrs. Mobley, the widow of Roland T. Mobley, leaves a sister-in-law, Connie M. Wolford, and a niece, Belinda C. Jackson, both of Chicago and both of whom helped care for her.
