Tennessee, U.S., Delayed Birth Records, 1869-1909
Marie M. Roberson, 82, of Knoxville, formerly of Memphis, former Tennessee Valley Authority employee during World War II and retired tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service, died Sunday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel in Knoxville. She was a member of West End Church of Christ in Knoxville. Mrs. Roberson, the widow of Clarence Murry Roberson, leaves a daughter, Sara Parnell of Knoxville; a son, David Roberson of Maryville, Tenn.; a sister, Helen Twedt, and five grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to West Church of Christ.

Jaylin Demetrious Rogers, 4-month-old son of Shequita Rogers of Memphis, died Sunday at his home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in New Park cemetery. E.H. Ford Mortuary has charge. He also leaves two sisters, Jayda Rogers and Jasmin Rogers; a brother, Terrance Rogers; his grandparents, Annette and Curtis Strong, and his great-grandmother, Dorothy Strong, all of Memphis.

Robert Rush III, 73, of Bartlett, retired driver for Roadway Express after 30 years, died Sunday at his home. Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel has charge. Mr. Rush, the husband of Carolyn Rush, also leaves two daughters, Kathy Price of Canton, Miss., and Tracey Spitler of Bartlett; two sons, David Rush of Atoka and Robert Rush of Tyler, Texas, and five grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.

Ernest Schilly, 76, of Memphis, retired owner of Universal Business Products, died Saturday at Allen Morgan Health Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, where he was a member, with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Schilly, the widower of Martha Schilly, leaves a son, Lee Schilly of Valdosta, Ga.; a sister, Doris Kuehn of Bonner Springs, Kan.; a brother, John Schilly of Pittsburgh, Pa., and three grandchildren. Terrance Jerome Scott, 33, of Memphis, cashier with Circle K, died Friday at Primacy Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Ross; his father, Lee Newsom, and six sisters, Cynthia M. Harris, Joyton T. Stinson, Tabitha Barnes, Coiletta F. Scott, Keisha D. Hardeman and Aleace Woodfork, all of Memphis; three brothers, Vincent Scott of Nashville, and Dwan Scott and Roosevelt Ross III, both of Memphis, and his grandmother, Elizabeth Baskins of Charleston, Miss.

Mr. Smith, the widower of Mary Louise Baughan Smith, leaves two daughters, Jean Marie Johnson of Bartlett and Barbara Pretti of Memphis, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Wilma Jean Thompson, 77, of Memphis, homemaker, died Monday at Saint Francis Hospital. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Whitehaven United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She was a Pink Lady at Methodist South Hospital for more than 20 years and member of Whitehaven Book Club. Mrs. Thompson, the wife of James W. Thompson, also leaves a daughter, Lisa Thompson of Memphis; a son, David Thompson of Olive Branch, and two grandsons.
