MORRIS, Charlotte, age 67, of Estill Springs, Tenn. passed away Monday, April 17, 2006. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Oaklawn Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was an auxiliary member of the Capitol Hill Volunteer Fire Department, President of the Capitol Hill Community Center and was the owner and operator of Morris Grocery in Capitol Hill for over 25 years. Mrs. Morris’ parents, Fred and Jean Breitbarth and daughter, Debra Roberson, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Morris; daughters, Cheryl (John) Page of Capitol Hill and Pamela Morris of Estill Springs; sons, Gary (Eileen) Morris of Sacramento,  Calif. and Bill "Spud" (Ronda) Morris, Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; son-in-law, Chris Roberson of Pikeville; 11 grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. The funeral service was conducted Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Oaklawn Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Gardner officiating. Interment icon followed in Franklin Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 5-9 p.m. at Watson-North Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multi County Cancer Support Network or the Capitol Hill Community Center Roof Fund. ALLEN, Tommy Harvey "Bulldawg," passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at his home at the age of 53. He was born on Sept. 13, 1952 to Earlene Reed Holland (deceased). At the age of three, his aunt and uncle, William Harvey and Cora Bell Allen (both deceased) adopted him into their family. They had four other children, Robert Ghea of Tullahoma; Betty Turner of Winchester, Edna Daniels of Decherd and Virginia Fortenberry (deceased). He is survived by his three children, Bobbie Call (David) of Manchester, Deniece Allen and Willie Allen of Tullahoma and a stepson, Michael Rayburn of Great Britain (U.S. Navy). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Grace, Isabella and David Call, Jr. of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Community Church, 716 Westside Dr., Tullahoma with Rev. Jim Zidan officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an account at Traders National Bank in memory of Tommy Allen. SNELL, Donna Marie, age 46 passed away into rest on Thursday evening, April 13, 2006 at her home in Manchester where she was lovingly cared for by her family and friends. Donna courageously battled cancer for two years before she passed to meet her heavenly Father. She was dedicated to her family, friends and students at New Union Elementary School, where she served as an Educational Assistant. She taught Sunday school (2-3 year olds), chaired the Nursery Committee and sang in the choir at Trinity Baptist Church. She was a 1978 graduate of Woodbury High School where she was active in the Beta Club, Library Club, FHA, TOEC and Reading Club. Following high school, she worked in the financial services industry. Donna enjoyed riding Tennessee Walking Horses, was a seamstress, an avid collector of antiques and was an award winning amateur photographer (International Society of Photographers). She is survived by her husband, Bruce Snell of Manchester; son, Dustin Snell of Manchester; daughter, Bridget Snell of Manchester; parents, Harold and Hazel Vinson of Woodbury; sisters, Marlene Vinson of Smyrna and Teresa Russell of Antioch; a brother, Joe Vinson of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, neighbors and loved ones. The family received friends at the visitation on Saturday evening, April 15, 2006 from 4-9 p.m. at Central Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted on Sunday afternoon, April 16, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church with Brother Sidney Gibson officiating. VAN HOOSER, Jay Hunter, age 17 of Bowling Green, Ky., died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 in Bowling Green, Ky. He was born in Dalton, Ga., the son of Gary C. Van Hooser of Bowling Green, Ky. and Debbie Roddy Van Hooser of Shelbyville. He was a junior at Greenwood High School and a member of the Hillvue Heights Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert H. Van Hooser. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Alesia Van Hooser of Bowling Green, Ky.; a brother, Nick Van Hooser of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Christy Herring of Morehead, Ky.; two aunts; two uncles; paternal grandmother, Bobbie Van Hooser of Huntland; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Nancy Roddy of Winchester. Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Hillvue Heights Church. BROCK, Mary Louise, age 93 of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Plant City, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lance Brock and her son, Sidney Brock. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Brock and his wife Carol and Dempsey James Brock and his wife Janice; one daughter, Mary Rogers Faulkner and her husband Del; one brother, James Burton; one sister, Margaret (Tiny) Carr; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. SNELL, Letha Iona, age 81 of Winchester died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Jackson, NE and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.A. Snell and two sons, Lawrence Leach and Fred Snell. Mrs. Snell is survived by four daughters, Lee Townsley, Mary Ann McNeilly and Kay Snell, all of Winchester and Francine Marie Moore of Conyers, GA; four sons, Richard Jones of Saulk Village, IL, Walter Lee Snell of Lake Village, IN, George Athel Snell of Alsip, IL and Robert Snell of Winchester; a brother, Kenneth Jones of Nebraska; 28 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. DOUGLAS, James Ronald "Booty," age 63 of Decherd died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Winchester, the son of the late John Robert Douglas, Sr. and Jennie Berryhill Douglas. He was a Surveyor last employed by TVA. Mr. Douglas is survived by his wife, Polly Anna Douglas of Decherd; two daughters, Rhonda (Keith) Newton of Winchester and Tina Tobitt of Decherd; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Douglas, Jr. of Mount Juliet; a sister, Debbie Crowder of Winchester; and three grandchildren, Zachary James Newton, Chelsie Lashea Tobitt and Courtney Brianna Tobitt. GRAY, Vernita J., age 64 of Winchester passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. Her mother and father, Jessie and Alonzo Gray, four sisters, four brothers and a granddaughter, Darian Gray, preceded her in death. Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughters, Diane Leslie of Fayetteville and Sherry Denise (Gregory) Eady of Winchester; sons, Jesse Gray of Winchester, Dwayne Lorenzo Gray of Tullahoma and Eric Germaude (Lori) Gray of Knoxville; grandchildren, Nickole (Gary) Bush, Darius Leslie, Nakia Gray, Rontye Gray, Chantele Gray and Mekiah Gray; a step-granddaughter, Felisha Eady; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kierra and Malyna; sister, Isabelle Staten of Nashville; a brother, Jessie (Faye) Alonzo of Clarksville; 14 nieces; 16 nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. GAULT, Bob, age 75 of Monteagle died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006 at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital. He was born in Fayetteville and was a Production Worker last employed by Monterey Mills. Mr. Gault is survived by his wife, Shirley Gault of Monteagle; three daughters, Kathy (Harold) Means and Jan (Timothy) Griswald, both of Fayetteville and Tammy (Joe) Hill of McMinnville; three sons, Pat (Kathy) Gault of Thornton, IL, Ricky Gault of Fayetteville and Chris (Beronica) Gault of Monteagle; a sister, Betty Casteel of Murfreesboro; a brother, Howard Gault of Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. TIPPS, Shirley L., age 70 of Clearwater, FL died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. Born in Red Bay, AL. Mrs. Tate moved to Clearwater, FL from Nashville in 1981. She retired as the Linen Coordinator at Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center, FL, after 15 years of service. She also was a legal secretary for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Nashville and an Intelligence Analyzer for the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany. She was Protestant and was a worldwide traveler. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and her dogs. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Jimmy Tipps; four daughters, Darla "Jeanne" O’Donnell of Clearwater, FL, Betty Shipman of St. Petersburg, FL, Shirley Hytner of Palm Harbor, FL, and Teresa Presley of Franklin; a son, James B. Tipps, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Margie Parham of Nashville and Anne Jones of Tullahoma; and eight grandchildren. Zimmerman, William "Adrian," age 80, a prized dairy farmer, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006. He was a lifetime resident of Hillendale Farm in the Farris Chapel Community. By his side was his wife of 57 years, Ruth. Adrian had been battling the cancer that took his life for seven years. Adrian served his country in the United States Navy before returning home, where he became an active member of the community, especially when lending a hand to a neighbor or giving blood. He shared his life volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, Future Farmers of America, 4-H, and supported the development of extra-curricular activities at Franklin County High School. He was also an active member of the Tennessee Farm Bureau, Friesian Holstein Association, and the United Church of Christ. His family and friends will remember Adrian with devotion and love. Adrian's compassion, wit, humor, love, and wisdom will be with us forever. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters, Ethelyn Osborne, Anna Hall and Mildred Hatchett; children Kathy Collins, Richard Zimmerman, Emily Wilson and Joe Zimmerman; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A remembrance and celebration of Adrian's life will be held Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester.
