Dorothy Helen Hunter, 76, of Memphis, retired manager for General Electric, died Saturday at Cordova Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Forrest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She leaves a sister, Loraine Grisham, and two caregivers, Bud and Susan Brazelton, all of Memphis. The family requests that any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.

Sarah B. Jones, 67, of Bartlett, retired from the Postal Service, died Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial in Galilee Memorial Gardens. Hardeman County Funeral Home in Bolivar, Tenn., has charge. She leaves a daughter, Sharon Y. Jones of Palmdale, Calif.; four sons, Marcus W. Jones, Billy J. Jones and Dempsey Jones Jr., all of Memphis, and Ray A. Jones of Compton, Calif.; two sisters, Carolyn Elliott and Pamela A. Jones of Nashville, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Barney Lamar McMillen, 79, of Memphis, superintendent of Allen O'Hara Construction Co. Humko Plant, died Saturday in Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. He was a member of Audubon Park Baptist Church and Carpenters Local. Mr. McMillen, the husband of Fay P. McMillen, also leaves two sons, James Lee McMillen of Ramer, Tenn., and Joel McMillen of Collierville; a sister, Louise Edwards of Hernando, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Audubon Park Baptist Church.

J.P. Murrell, 74, of Memphis, entrepreneur and political adviser, died Thursday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Murrell, the husband of Mildred P. Murrell, also leaves a daughter, Carolyn Woods of Memphis; three sons, Jerry Winston of Little Rock, Marcus Ray Murrell of Memphis and John Paul Murrell III of Athens, Ga.; a brother, David T. Murrell of Memphis, and three grandchildren.

Dorothy Jean Norton, 83, of Memphis, homemaker, died Friday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the River-Unitarian, where she a member of the Alliance, Chime Choir and Caring Ministry team. Mid-South Mortuary has charge. Mrs. Norton, the widow of Ronald M. Norton, leaves two daughters, Nancy N. Smith of Austin, Texas, and Anita N. Zeberlein of Dumfries, Va., and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Nora's Life Gift Foundation or Church of the River-Unitarian.

Lloyd B. Palmer, 77, of Cordova, retired teamster, died Friday at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Forrest Grove Baptist Church in Tishomingo County, Miss., with burial in the church cemetery there. McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville, Miss., has charge. He was a World War II and Korean War Army veteran, a Mason, and a member of Teamsters Local 986 and Germantown Baptist Church. Mr. Palmer, the husband of Mavis Branson Palmer, also leaves a daughter, Sharon Palmer Stevens of Hernando; three sisters, Elizabeth Lamberth of Corinth, Miss., and Nora Riddle and Margaret Underwood, both of Booneville; a brother, Willard Palmer of Corinth, and two grandchildren.

She leaves her mother, Patricia Pearson of Chicago; her father, Leslie Pearson of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Tamara Pearson Hampton of Memphis and Kimberly Tate Rayford of Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, Venyon Fluckers of Chicago and Kevin Tate of Memphis, and her grandparents, Marie Ison of Chicago and Anthony Fluckers of Kankakee, Ill.

Virginia L. Mansker Reece, 79, of Bartlett, homemaker, died Friday at Methodist North Hospital. She was a former employee of the old Defense Depot, where she was shortstop for the Army Depot Softball Team. Mrs. Reece, the wife of William C. Reece for 62 years, also leaves three daughters, Sandra Mayo and Tina Johnson, both of Bartlett, and Ginger Patton of Collinsville, Okla., 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was a Vietnam War veteran and a member of Bartlett Woods Church of Christ.
