Richard L. Brown, 89, of Memphis, retired vice president for Keystone Laboratories, died Sunday at his home. He was a member of Chickasaw Country Club, and graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and the Babson Institute in Babson Park, Mass. Mr. Brown, the husband of Lorraine Fisher Brown, also leaves three daughters, Gwen Brown DeBandi of Riverview, Fla., Lori Gonsch Foster of Germantown and Carol Gonsch Agnew of Bartlett; a son, Richard L. Brown Jr. of Baton Rouge, La., three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Charles Clifton Coats, 50, of Memphis, attorney, died Friday at Saint Francis Hospital. Family Funeral Care has charge. He was a member of Theatre Memphis. He leaves a sister, Kathleen McKay of Huntsville, Ala., and a brother, Billy Coats of Memphis.

Glennie V. Cox, 83, of Memphis, formerly of Pope, Miss., homemaker, died Feb. 28 at her home. Services were Saturday at Olive Ray Missionary Baptist Church in Pope, where she was a mother, deaconess, Sunday school teacher and Bible class instructor, with burial in the church cemetery there. Cooley's Mortuary in Batesville, Miss., had charge. She leaves five daughters, Teresa Lucille Austin of Memphis, Betty Johnson of Harvey, Ill., Faye Austin Wallace of Castro Valley, Calif., Gracie Jordan and Jimmie L. Austin, both of Chicago; four sons, Michael Austin of Batesville, Sherman Austin Jr. of Memphis, Milton T. Austin of Houston and Lucius Stanley Austin of Kansas City, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Estelle Glasco of Sardis, Miss., Katherine Lloyd of Pope and Marie Daniels of Memphis; two stepsons, Selve Cox of Courtland, Miss., and James Eddie Cox of Memphis; a sister, Massie Austin of Harvey, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Will Avalon 'Bubba' Davis, 45, of Memphis, nurse for Atrium of Memphis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Sunday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home with burial in Galilee Memorial Gardens. He leaves a sister, Elaine M. Howell, and a brother, Henry Malone, both of Memphis.

James L. Fitchpatrick, 89, of Memphis, retired mechanic, died Sunday at Select Specialty Hospital. Services will be at noon Friday at M.J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home Whitehaven Chapel with burial in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. Mr. Fitchpatrick, the husband of Dezzie Fitchpatrick, also leaves three daughters, Sheila Fitchpatrick of Memphis, and Bertha Fisher and Elizabeth Allen, both of Toledo, Ohio; a son, James H. Fitchpatrick of Toledo; three sisters, Bernice Jones of Memphis, Ida Mae Hunter of Rossville, Tenn., and Viola Malone of Collierville; a brother, John Wesley Fitchpatrick of Memphis, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Chester Allen Ford, 48, of Memphis, subcontractor for All Weather, died Sunday at Methodist University Hospital. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with burial in Forest Hill cemetery East. He was a Vietnam War Navy veteran. Mr. Ford, the husband of Connie Ford, also leaves a daughter, Jennifer Ford of Memphis; a son, Benjamin Ford of Millington; two sisters, Dorothy Pemberton and Connie Ford, both of Memphis, and a grandson.

Brianna Elisah Hayes, 2-month-old daughter of Balewa Hayes and Tamarsha Ford of Memphis, died Thursday at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in New Park cemetery. E.H. Ford Mortuary has charge. She also leaves two brothers, Treveon Ford and Brendan Hayes, both of Memphis, and her grandparents, Josie and Glenn Ford.

Amanda Markham Hughes, 87, of Memphis, retired from Joyland Learning Center, died Thursday at her daughter's home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Coleman Avenue Church of Christ, where she was a member, with burial in Calvary. Harrison's Funeral Home Orange Mound Chapel has charge. Mrs. Hughes, the widow of Edmond Hughes Jr., leaves three daughters, Bobbye Sanders McMillan of Detroit, and Sondra Hughes Davis and Janice M. Hughes Echols, both of Memphis; a sister, Rosetta Markham Varnado of Chicago; a daughter-in-law who helped take care of her, Betty Hughes of Memphis, 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moyes, the widow of Ted Moyes, leaves a daughter, Patricia Hall of Millington; three sons, Allan Moyes of Indianapolis, David Moyes of Bartlett and Mike Moyes of Collierville, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
