Nell Burrow, 84, of Germantown, retired nurse for Tennessee Valley Authority, died Thursday at Saint Francis Nursing Home. Family Funeral Care has charge. Mrs. Burrow, the widow of Marshall Wales Burrow, leaves a stepdaughter, Ramona Epperson of Germantown, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Embury United Methodist Church in Millington.

Jack Statler Callicott, 79, of Memphis, retired sales manager for Channel Five after 25 years, died Thursday at Allen Morgan Health Center. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, where he was a deacon. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran, a deacon and an elder at Whitehaven Presbyterian Church and a member of the Advertising Club and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at Washington & Lee University. Mr. Callicott, the husband of Ruth Ristau Callicott for 51 years, also leaves two daughters, Betsy Callicott Goodell of Bronxville, N.Y., and Jackie Callicott Congleton of Knoxville, and six grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Church Health Center, Alzheimer's Day Care Center or Crossroads Hospice.

Betty Luther Emerson, 76, of Huntsville, Ala., formerly of Memphis, retired bookkeeper for Consumer Credit, died Thursday at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. Mrs. Emerson, the widow of Eugene M. Emerson, leaves a son, John Emerson of Huntsville; four brothers, M.O. Luther, Hal Luther, Bob Luther and Jack Luther, all of Memphis, and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, Latham United Methodist Church Building Fund in Huntsville or Hospice Family Care in Huntsville.

She was of the Church of Christ faith. Dorothy J. Foster, 79, of Memphis, retired quality control worker for Kellogg's, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton in Covington. Mrs. Foster, the widow of James Alfred Foster, leaves a daughter, Mary Stewart of Brighton; a son, James W. Foster of Buford, Ga., three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ruth Ella Harris, 91, of Memphis, retired from the University of Ohio in Columbus, died Tuesday at Methodist University Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Park cemetery. Hayes; a sister, Jennell Hayes Pittman; a brother, Joe Louis Hayes, and five grandchildren.
