Billy Ray Bowman, 72, of Memphis, died Sunday at Jackson-Madison County (Tenn.) General Hospital. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Northridge Woodhaven cemetery in Millington. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington has charge. He was an Army veteran. He leaves a nephew who took care of him, Ric Bowman of Collierville.

Kathleen Nall Courts, 80, of Collierville, employee of American Bosch, died Sunday at Collierville Health & Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel cemetery in Grenada, Miss. Collierville Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of American Veterans Auxiliary and a Baptist. Mrs. Courts, the widow of F.W. Courts, leaves a daughter, Marilyn Gayle Murray of Jackson, Ga.; two sisters, Jacqueline K. Ballard and Suzan K. Kent, both of Memphis, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Cystic Fibrosis or a charity of the donor's choice.

Mildred C. Douglas, 80, of Memphis, homemaker, died Friday at her home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. E.H. Ford Mortuary has charge. She was a member of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church. Mrs. Douglas, the widow of William H. Douglas, leaves six daughters, Elaine Russell of Louisville, Ky., Barbara Gosey of Marino Valley, Calif., and Helen Magnum, Gladys Hargrave, Percilla Jackson and Anita Washington, all of Memphis, 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Alzheimer's Association.

Mary C. Edge, 81, of Memphis, homemaker, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Episcopal Church, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. She was a member of the Sierra Club National Wildlife Conservancy, Audubon Society and National Wildlife Confederation. Mrs. Edge, the widow of William T. Edge Jr., leaves a daughter, Charlotte Edge Boggs of Memphis; five sons, Scott Edge of Missoula, Mont., William Daniel Edge of Corvallis, Ore., and Christopher 'Kip' Edge, Wayne Edge and Gary Edge, all of Memphis; a sister, Wilhelmina Rudolph of Bradenton, Fla., 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. John's Episcopal Church, Church Health Center, Wolf River Conservancy, Memphis Botanic Gardens or Lichterman Nature Center.

Andrew Joseph Gunn, 88, of Memphis, retired controller, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, where he was a founding communicant, with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. He was a World War II veteran, member of Memphis Park Commission Sports Hall of Fame and Knights of Columbus council 616, and graduate of Christian Brothers High School and Memphis State University. Mr. Gunn, the husband of Mary Cundiff Gunn, also leaves a daughter, Patricia G. Whitsitt; two sons, Andrew J. Gunn Jr. and Michael E. Gunn; a sister, Catherine Curry, and a brother, William Louis Gunn, all of Memphis, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Birthright of Memphis, Madonna Learning Center or a charity of the donor's choice.

He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Hubbard, the husband of Letha Hubbard for 53 years, also leaves a daughter, Susan Hubbard, and two sons, Mark Hubbard and Andy Hubbard, all of Memphis.

She was a former Girl Scout troop leader, and member of Ladies of Charity and St. Therese-Little Flower Catholic Church altar guild. Mrs. Hurtgen, the widow of C.A. 'Pete' Hurtgen, leaves a daughter, Patricia Kissell of Memphis; a son, Jerome Peter Hurtgen of Holland, Mich., eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was a World War II veteran and recipient of the Soldiers Medal for Service in the China Burma India theater.
